You may be right but I hope you’re wrong. BD is just a guy who is so easy to cheer for. I just hope he ends up where he best contributes.

Lots of nice guy head coaches get fired. He's Canadian with experience & is a competent STC so even if he's fired he'd get on a staff somewhere.

Or he’ll learn quickly on the job and progress into a really good CFL HC. Thats my hope for him.

He first broke into head coaching in 2015 as the interim hc of ssk. He’s been the rbs hc since 22. Two full seasons plus almost a half.
We are way way past learning quickly on the job.

I love bobby dyce. Great football mind, excellent talent evaluator, tremendous guy.
He’s been coaching in the league for 22 years and he’s already 2.5 into this hc job. The leash is gonna be real short on him, and if it doesn’t work out he doesn’t likely get another hc shot short of some thing miraculous.

He'd be hired as a STC somewhere in the CFL. He'd land on his feet.

I think he will have a job up here as long as he wants. Be it scouting/player development, or one of many position coaching spots. He might just not be cut out of be a hc though.

Having him as a position coach like wr, and an extra scout in the off season, while being able to assist a CO, is one of the best values you could want under the coaching cap.

Yup, that was his 50th game as a CFL HC... If he hasn't figured it out yet, I don't think he's going to.
