Definitely some bizarre rulings and non calls. Jets need to show some fight

They took over 7 minutes to review that goal and concluded that goalie knocked goal in therefore good goal.

We are going to get a real indication of what type of team the Jets are game 4.

ugh and I was ready to say that "Maybe the St Louis arena was the problem" Jets need to win the next three to stave off

If they win game 4, it’s 2 2.

they need to take the fine. Everyone who speaks. Take the fine. Cuz it was 2 2 until a blatant missed hit from behind on Connor and goal that by the rules was not a goal. Massive delay leads to good goal then 4 2 seconds later. 5 2 now but still. Refs directly absolutely directly lead to 2 Dallas goals.

Big if.  This was a winnable game.

Jets were right in this. Even with the bad goal call, should have kept the hammer down and it would have been a 1 goal game.

Concerning that they've allowed 5 goals again

Imo doesn’t have the same feel as the goals given up in St. Louis. For the most part we were playing a real good road until that goal that wasn’t disallowed and the wheels fell off from there.

If reffing was even it might go to OT. The 3rd “goal “ and 7 minutes of delay killed the Jets.

Well as the saying goes, the refs will have some splaining to do on a variety of things.

They certainly should not ref another game this series.

Guess people just dislike the small market Canadian team so much that yup. Crazy cuz nhl and sportsnet should be promoting the hell out the small market Canadian presidents trophy winners but they don’t. They appear to make it a bit more difficult. Crazy. Jets winning the cup would be massive. Huge. Not just as a jets fan but for sports fans in every not New York LA Miami etc, jets should be the team they want to see win not go out there way to make it seem like they don’t and galley is the spokesperson.

Illegal Curve taking the fine. Damn. Scathing.

I’m assuming it must have been something the ref said to Arniel after the call of good goal after a lengthy review cuz why not challenge? Such a key moment in the game.

Actually they won’t…. They never have to answer for anything.

I think I meant more of the conversations both coaches will have with the head NHL officiating about this game that won’t be reported by the media.

I don't know guys I was feeling good after game one and then they responded in game two.  The road game was pretty good up until that controversial goal and then the Jets just imploded.

F****** power play is the problem right now.  Needs to start scoring .

Jets head coach Scott Arniel wasn't pleased with the explanation.

"The rule states that if the puck gets kicked, hits a body or a stick of anybody else other than the goaltender, it counts as a goal. It hit our goaltender's stick and went into the net. That is no goal," Arniel said postgame, per Sportsnet. "They said that (Hellebuyck) propelled the puck in, I haven't seen the word propelled in the rulebook."

He gonna get suspended for sure if the nhl has any shred of credibility

No suspicion, no credibility

guaranteed if we hit their guy from behind we get called. That’s the issue I have. Ok don’t call things but if you gonna let the hit from behind that leads directly to a goal then why you calling chincy trips on us. It’s weak BS.  Let them play or call the ******* game evenly. You can’t pick and choose who you’re gonna call. You either call all blatantly obvious penalties or none. Pretty black and white but the problem is the refs be seeing shades of grey.  The biggest problem with the 3 2 game winning goal is it shouldn’t have counted. It’s like they were trying to find a way to justify the poor call instead of the simple yup he kicked it in stuff. That’s why it took about 9 minutes to decide. Then they say Helle propelled the kicked puck into the net. It’s just bullshit.

The referees strongly felt that the Stars player was not trying to purposely direct the puck toward the goal with his skate.

Huh?

Such a garbage call and huge momentum swing.

Whatever, move on, lets get the next game.

Referees don’t get to decide what’s in the rule book or not. It’s states that goal shouldn’t have counted. Regardless the stars player kicked it.

Where did you get the bolded part from?

Interesting.  Wonder if he got that straight from the officials or using his own words.  Because what the refs strongly felt doesn’t make any damn difference.  They can’t judge intent…. And oh yeah, it doesn’t friggin matter.  The rule book says that wasn’t a goal.  And nowhere in that book does it say anything about feeling, intent or propelled.  They absolutely blew that call and everyone knows it.

I remember someone saying that according to the refs the Dallas player did not kick the puck towards the net but "directed" it. Uh...yeah, he directed it by kicking it. If that wasn't a distinct kicking motion then I don't know what is.

Well, the ref, when announcing it was a ‘good goal’, said the Dallas player kicked the puck.  So they confirmed it was a kick…. Which also confirms that they got the call wrong.

Yup they didn’t use this lengthy time to review, they took this lengthy time to develop and confirm the rationale behind calling it a good goal and this is what they came up with. Player did not direct the puck with his skate directly at goal and goaltender propelled it into own net. Translation: garlbly guck.

Listen, who knows, even if they made the correct call by waving it off, doesn’t mean we would have won the game but it sure as heck made things alot more difficult for the visiting team.

Let’s see what the Jets have now facing the adversity and pressure of losing the next game in a hostile environment that will result in heading home to play an elimination game.

I actually think if they called it a good goal based on the video being inconclusive, the Jets accept that and move on.  But to come up with the BS rationale the officials did threw them for a loop.  You can make the argument that they need to be mentally stronger and play on, but when the officials start making up rules, it has to be deflating.
