In the end people do dumb ****. Unfortunately this time there were severe and tragic consequences. Humboldt and the older people near Carberry perished needlessly as well. Not sure what we as a society can really do.

Increased & harsher penalties. Significant jail time. Lifetime driving suspensions.

The justice system is actively finding ways to avoid putting people in jail.   It's unlikely to happen.

I couldn't find the story but a few years back a lady loss control of her vehicle downtown Winnipeg and killed an innocent pedestrian. Her penalty was removal of her license and nothing else.

The lady had the nerve to complain that her license suspension was to harsh and wanted her license back after 6 months.     I think they gave in to her after a year and it was given back.

Just like the guy who killed Johnny Gaudreau & his brother. Upset that he has to spend the long weekend in jail. Thinking they have some kind of entitlement.

Come year 3 or 4 of that contract, might not look as good.

Yup for a lot of players.

Current market standard seems to be pay player 6-8 years for 3-4 years of productive service.

That cap will be over 100 million by then.

The most predictable AAV.

And tsn trade deadline day takes a huge hit. They were already starting with potential Crosby deadline day suitors. Winnipeg was mentioned

Houston is a no brainer instant rivalry with the Stars, 4th biggest market in the US, Atlanta has failed twice before not sure it works this time around either but that sweet sweet expansion money is tough to say no to.

People probably curious why no Quebec City on there. Simple reason. They don’t have the funds.

The NHL doesn't need another small market team with little corporate support.
