The Best Player to NOT win a Stanley Cup?

Just for fun 🤩

Three categories:

1. Player from the past (Mine is Marcel Dionne)

2. Player from the present who still hasn’t won and may not win in your opinion (Connor McDavid is my choice)

3. Best Goalie: (tie - between Tony Esposito and  Carie Price)

It’s the long weekend … give it a whirl 😁

1.  Dionne used to be my choice, but now it's Joe Thornton

2.  Claude Giroux

3.  Ron Hextall or Carey Price

I forgot he played 13 games in total (no playoffs so it’s easy not to remember his being on that Cup winner) for the Habs. With Vachon and a young Ken Dryden they chose to move on from him. Interesting how you can go from the wrong place, wrong time to the perfect situation. I think he signed with Chicago a few months after that Cup …

Tony Esposito - Wikipedia

Montreal left him unprotected that summer so Chicago grabbed him.

3. Bernie Parent.

Dude - Bernie Parent got two cups with the Broad Street bullies in 1974 and 1975.  I feel like a FB fact-checker right now lol....

1. Darryl Sittler and Dale Hawerchuk (tie)

2. Erik Karlsson

3. Henrik Lundqvist

I thought the last one was about who we thought the best goalie was. If it's just about not winning a Stanley Cup then I'll choose Mike Palmateer.

I am pretty sure there are Leaf fans who disagree,Palmateer definitely won a cup with the Leafs!😄😅

Changed it to Pamateer.

He was one of my favorite goalies growing up for sure.

Hawerchuk. Carey price. McDavid

1. Dionne just ahead of Hawerchuk, Adam Oates 3rd.

2. Coin flip between Lundqvist and Luongo.

3. Got to be McDavid for now.
