iHeart Posted Friday at 07:09 PM Report Posted Friday at 07:09 PM (edited) RIP Valour FC what else can go wrong today in local sports? Edited Friday at 08:29 PM by iHeart
Noeller Posted Friday at 08:17 PM Report Posted Friday at 08:17 PM Sucks for whatever fans they had, but I'm glad this anchor is no longer weighing down the Bombers and they can now reap the full benefits of their success.
WinnipegGordo Posted Friday at 08:36 PM Report Posted Friday at 08:36 PM I always thought the WFC could have done a better job of promoting the team. I know Hamilton's soccer team has always been a success on the field but I think a large part of their attendance numbers is due to the cross promotion they do with the TiCats. I think Valour could still be viable in Winnipeg if there was a smaller facility they could play in. But even then, the team would need to work to attract fans as the Seabears have come in and scooped up a good portion of the family entertainment dollars in the Peg. Goalie 1
Stretch Posted 6 hours ago Report Posted 6 hours ago (edited) Read a post from former Valour coach Rob Gale. Basically called out Wade for giving him and the team little to no support. Edited 6 hours ago by Stretch

Basically called out Wade for giving him and the team little to no support. Interesting. I don’t think Winnipeg has as many people interested in live soccer as ppl think tho. I remember going to soccer games years and years agoThey were cheap as crap but boring as it wasnt like the soccer we all played growing up. We ran and worked hard. The soccer games were pretty boring live but did not go see a valour game so can’t comment about them. We have had several soccer teams in Winnipeg come and go. Don’t think we are a strong soccer market. We love our hockey football and basketball here. Baseball also with the fish. Just really no room for soccer. I honestly think the pro women’s hockey league would kill it here and rumours are true North wants a team so. I wonder if that means the moose go play elsewhere tho. Saskatoon? Regina? I dunno. Steinbach could work if it continues growing lol. They got a decent sized building there. Edited 1 hour ago by Goalie
