Tucker Carlson??  Tucker ******* Carlson?!!!! That guy might be the biggest asshat that has ever lived.  Nothing he spouts can be considered ‘information’.

2 center or d man. I’d be looking 2C where we currently pick.

D depth isn’t an issue organizationally.

Center is.

Salo. Sascha. Freij all young D. 2 are big.

Yager is our only real prospect center. Maybe Walton but he’s likely a 3 4 center.

I’d say ABW. Anyone But a Winger.

If we move up and pick 2 im having a hard time passing on Verehoff. Eventho I like the Swede and a few other potential CenterS. Hell I might take him at 1. As I agree McKenna ain’t a franchise changer.

I'm seeing more and more rankings with Chase Reid as the top D and Malhotra as the Top C. Even if we still pick at 7, there's a good chance one of Tynan Lawrence, Keaton Verhoeff or Carson Carels are still on the board.

Yeah Malhotra has really shot up,i saw one pundit had him at 2, and suggested he could go 1, he is having a great playoff run but that is a stretch imo..but you never know. 😊

Malhotra and Lawrence are way below Verhoeff, Carels, and Smits in upside. They fit an organizational positional need but BPA is one of the 3 d-men. I like Bjorck as much as the next guy but he is tiny. Some guys can play through that and have success at the next level but I'm not betting a top 10 pick on it. I think he's a faller in the draft, much like Perfetti was, due to size.

If I were a betting man I would think that all of the 3 d will be taken before 7, and we will then go Lawrence at 7 to fit our need for a 2C. Sorry...I don't believe Yager is that guy. If Yager proves me wrong then what a good problem we have. I'm not picking Malhotra because i think Lawrence has a higher ceiling, even though Malhotra is probably better right now.

Yeah Lawrence at 7 definitely fits the way Chevy likes to draft, but hopefully we get lucky and move up.😊

If we move up we have much higher odds of being number 1 or 2. Same goes for 7 or 8 with 9 having about the same odds (less than 1%) as getting number 3. Not sure how it works or why but 3 and 9 are longshots. Therefore, is we move up the highest probability is number one or two. If we get top two you take one of McKenna or Stenberg...they are a cut above everyone else. If we go 7 or 8 you look for one of the big 3 D, if they are not available then Lawrence or Malhotra. Bjorck intrigues me...but size matters down the middle in the NHL. I think Bjorck is a winger at that level.

I agree on this. He's got intriguing skill, works like a dog and plays a solid 200-ft game against men in the SHL, but it feels too risky to pick a player of his stature in the top 10. He could end up a Top 5 talent when looking back, but you can't afford to miss on these high picks.

I like verehoff because right handed. Reid would be fine also.

Yeah i agree with you all about Bjorck size, especially at center, but there is something i really like about his metrics and already playing against men plus he took all the faceoffs over Frondell ..but i agree top 2 definitely McKenna or Stenburg.😊

I wonder if they trade the pick. Seriously. If they win a top 3 prob keep it but if not?? I dunno. That pick is their best trade currency outside of Helle or one of the core guys. It’s Helle you trade tho.

Expected to miss camp so prob starts with the moose to get up to speed. Sucks for him and the Jets as he’s ready. Need more Salo type D men. Big fast smart.

A sad attempt to celebrate the most embarrassing nation on earth...

Time to send Helle home.

Scheifele hat trick helps Canada edge Norway in OT, avoid...

Mark Scheifele completed his hat trick with an overtime winner Thursday, allowing Canada to avoid a shocking upset with a 6-5 win over Norway in preliminary round action at the IIHF Men’s World Hockey

Scheif with the hatty as Canada narrowly avoids losing to Norway. WTF? What kind of sieves are we sending over there?

Looks like Talbot was in net. Outshot Norway 42-19, so I’m guessing he wasn’t on his A game, to say the least. Nice to see Scheifele have a big game…. I hadn’t seen him on the scoresheet until now.

I actually watched most of that game, randomly, and while there were some softies, I thought the Canada D had some breakdowns. At least one turnover behind their own net, and at least two goals were screens and/or deflected in front.

Tal-Bot wasn't great but not entirely his fault. When push cake to shove, though, the Canadian offense looked like they were playing pond hockey out there, when it mattered. The OT goal was ridiculous. May as well have been the Jets top line vs a Tier 3 team playing outta the Highlander...
