He signed 40 minutes after free agency began. I thought it started at 1pm Eastern, when actually it was 1pm Central.

Yeah Boeser seemed to indicate he reached deal before FA started so how could he get offers if the NHL said no early calling MrFreakzilla 1

Give Morgan Barron more responsibility next year. I believe he’s earned it. FrostyWinnipeg, MrFreakzilla, Tony Fresco and 2 others 3 2

Apparently he had a bunch of teams offering him more money....how is that possible when he signed on the 27th? Did Tavares and Boeser really get offers before free agency started or are the so called 'Insiders' full of shite? Edited July 5 by MrFreakzilla Shite

I think they can be but offer sheets require players signing them. Don’t think any of them would. And if they did unless team is giving up multiple 1sts, we likely match. Cuz we got cap. No, filing for arbitration makes them ineligible for an offer sheet: https://www.prohockeyrumors.com/2025/07/players-still-eligible-for-offer-sheets.html Quote Yesterday, the NHLPA announced the 11 players who were eligible for and opted to elect salary arbitration this offseason. While notable for a few reasons, that announcement often goes unheralded when it includes higher-caliber names. That’s because a player electing arbitration makes them ineligible to receive or sign offer sheets, locking them into a new contract with their current team one way or another. Whether that’s via a pre-hearing settlement or an arbitration decision remains to be seen. The following players are still eligible to sign an offer sheet this offseason because they meet the following criteria: Are a restricted free agent (i.e., received a qualifying offer before June 30); Did not elect salary arbitration before Saturday’s deadline; Are not a 10.2(c) player who does not have enough professional experience for standard RFA eligibility.

I was gonna post I was wrong cuz I saw the Bo Byram arbitration filing. Yup. Good stuff then. Hopefully lock up samberg and Barron long term. Vilardi we will see. He’s injury prone. Tony Fresco 1
