Those bonuses are interesting cuz it’s basically all about winning rd 1 rd 2 rd 3 and cup final and playing in most the games. Jets made round 2 this year. Let’s assume they make rd 2 again and Toews plays in half the games atleast, that’s 500k there. But if they don’t win a round there’s no bonus.

And he may well get that on the open market. Then my big concern is if that is the bar set, how much will Kyle Connor cost us in his next contract. Hope to see an extension on him soon at $9.5 million before the free agency lunacy drives up his price to &12-13 million per. 

His cap hit is $2M. All bonuses can be deferred to next year at the team's choosing. I would think the Jets will build their roster based on the base and push whatever bonuses he attains to next year when there is a big jump in the cap.

Jets still have 22.4 million in cap this year. If Ehlers moves on like rumored im not sure we replace him with free agent signings cuz the list is weak and im not sure who they would have interest in and who would want to come here even so they could have cap space this year also for the bonuses.

Other than shaking my fist and yelling at the clouds, where do i direct my frustrations if we lose Ehlers and get nothing in return? Or should i just simmer down cuz he was basically a rental for us this past playoffs and thats the price we had to pay?

Jets priority shouldn’t be wingers. They got wingers. It should be centers. Michael Granlund. He’s a guy I’d look at cuz banking on Toews to be 2 c may mean Gavin McKenna is a jet. Oh it’s pagnotta. So it’s BS then. Ok. Dude is the frank seravelli of making **** up for clicks.

We'll never sign Bennett, Be careful what you wish for. We all know Chevy's answer to letting Ehler's go will a fourth line free agent winger signing. 

I think Boeser might be a legit option. They got cap. I mean, maybe you see a trade even. I think 28 and a prospect might get you a decent player.

Jets go local with their next pick taking Oakbanks Owen Martin. Perhaps a reach but very solid 2 way forward but not really a scorer or anything like that. But he becomes the 3rd Manitoban drafted by the Jets. Maybe Brandon Tanev ish minus the hitting but that type of player. High energy.

They need to go back to the normal draft as this one was really really bad tv. Awful. Draft isn’t exactly exciting but this one was real bad. They decided hey let’s make it worse for the viewer at home.
