Brakenridge hit on Kackert

Featured Replies

He's no Craig Butler, but that's a nice hit... wish we could have signed him.

Dirty IMO.  He wasn't in a position to make a form tackle, he took a terrible route to the ball and he stuck his facemask out as Kackert had him turned inside out, essentially a headbutt.  Textbook headshot, principle point of contact is Kackert's head, even worse that he led with his own head.  Dangerous for everyone involved including Brackenridge, doesn't belong in any sport.  Maybe the Argo guys on the field didn't really see it, and Brackenridge ran to his sideline right away, but something as stupid and dangerous like that should have immediate repercussions.

Yeah I am surprised more people aren't looking at it this way. If you were showing a video to players on how NOT to hit people, this would be the very first clip.   It could have been a lot worse for both guys.  Luckily it wasn't.

A completely dirty hit. Thought so at the time. Still do.

There was absolutely no effort to 'tackle' Kackert, but rather to hit him.

As clear an infraction as your going to get....and yet not called.

That head hit should be reviewed.

I agree it was a dirty hit for the reasons already mentioned.

It should have been penalized & Brackenridge fined leading with the helmet. Having said that, Brackenridge is lucky his brain wasn't scrambled on that hit. It sure can't be called a tackle.

brutal hit.. nothing about it was a tackle.. head shot, plain and simple..

League announced today that Brackenridge was fined for the hit.

Tbrak is appealing the fine according to many over at RF.com

Typical Rider coward

I made the following comment to somebody at Riderfans ...

You're making it sound as if he bent himself into a 90 degree angle and ran at him like some kind of battering ram with legs attached.

and he replied ...

It is almost 90 degrees.

Little early to be drinking, even for a Friday.
