I guess tonights game is designed to show us what our D will do under wave after wave of Calgary attackers...

Letestu as 2C and Bourque on top line... kind of depressing.

and Comrie is starting

I guess interference isn’t a penalty in the preseason?

The Moose have held their own tonight against a loaded Flames team.  Wheels started to wiggle a bit, late in the 2nd, but not bad.

Other then that new guy Morrissey I not see much. Even Nogier has disappointed me.

So I was there tonight. Morrissey captaining a Moose opening night roster. Thought JM was damn good, both AHL goalies played well, and Berdin deking Looch out his jock was fun. Boring hockey game and if I'm the fLames, I'd be worried about how they looked vs an AHL team...

Jets announce 13 cuts.

Berdin, Gawanke, Green, Kovacevic, Harkins, and McKenzie have been sent to the Moose.
Carlson, Cederholm, Maier, Poirier, and Reichel will also report to Moose camp.
Seth Griffith and Logan Shaw have been placed on waivers for assignment to MB.

 

Remaining:

F: Copp, Lowry, Little, Letestu, Wheeler, Ehlers, Roslovic, Lipon, Gustafsson, Luoto, Chibisov, Scheifele, Bourque, Suess, Spacek, Appleton, Perreault, Vesalainen.

D : Bitetto, Poolman, Pionk, Schilling, Kulikov, Niku, Heinola, Morrissey, Nogier, Stanley, Beaulieu.

Not surprised by anyone on that list with the exception of Gustafsson and Vesa.

Gus hss been very consistent. Very strong D first Center.. Why wouldnt Vesa stay up? 1st RD picks do that hence why Stanley still up despite being a huge mess last game

Would love to see Gustafsson and Luoto on the 4th.

Another messy game... but only Vesalainen and Kulikov standing out as looking really bad

I don't mind Pionk at all...  if Letestu and Bourque are here for locker room glue that's fine

I heard Vesa's name once.

Niku has a groin pull and is not scheduled to play last pre-season game at last report so he wont make opening night line up.  Poolman is a given, Pionk actually has NHL experience so of course he's made the team. Nogier will make top 3 RHD for the moment.

I know peeps got heavy on for Heinola but he's gotta gain weight so...

Dylan Samberg you were the chosen one!

Seuss, Luoto have impressed me more then Letestu and Bourque.

Perreault just can't stay out of the box. He's this year's Myers or last year's Perreault.
