Round 1: Game 5 vs. Wild

Minnesota-Wild-Vs-Winnipeg-Jets.jpg

Jets lead the series 3-1.

SN 6:30 pm start time

Tagline: "Land of 10,000 lakes @ Land of 100,000 lakes"

Storyline: Jets come home to try and wrap up their first ever series victory in 2.0 history, without Josh Morrissey in the lineup, but possibly with Tyler Myers back again. Minnesota tries to stay alive with $196 million up in the press box (Suter and Parise for the uninformed).

Quote: “No one has a problem with the first mile of a journey. Even an infant could do fine for a while. But it isn't the start that matters. It's the finish line.”
― Julien SmithThe Flinch

Quote #2: "Well that was fun. Winnipeg fans seem to have made an impression! The difference is I've never had to ask you to join me. You sing loud and proud every time!" - Stacey Nattress on twitter, in response to the Minnesota anthem singer imploring fans to sing along "so they can hear us in Winnipeg".

Fun fact: After Tuesday night, Connor Hellebuyck is now7-0-1 with 2 shutouts and a .949 save percentage in the next game played after giving up 5 or more goals.

Fun fact #2: Hellebuyck's Vezina nomination is the third NHL award nomination for a Jet since the club re-located to Winnipeg (along with Laine's rookie nomination and Andrew Ladd's "Mark Messier leadership" nom) and only the second Jet goalie ever to be a finalist for the Vezina (Bob Essensa was the first in 1991-92 - he finished 3rd behind Patrick Roy and Kirk McLean)

guess foligno wasn't sorry after all.  ass-hat.

Several calls that the refs are turning a blind eye... the one on Little was pretty obvious.

Boudreau looks shell shocked...  Jets are flying and seem to be moving twice as fast.

8The chants i tried to start:

Wheres the volume

Get your golf clubs

Even the play by play said refs will let wild get away with a lot cause they are down. Huh?

weak call....

H buck making "timely" saves

Jets looked like they took a massive adrenaline dump in the 2nd period.  Looked very lethargic out on the ice and were lucky that the Wild didn't score 2 - 3 goals.      Need to close the show much stronger to make a statement.

there ya go

“We want Nashville” chant? Lol love it

Careful what you wish for

Solid game by the team,   I hope everyone gets healthy for the next round!

Stastny and Morrow were great additions... hopefully they keep them for next season.

I didn’t get into hockey til about 90 so it was heartbreak after heartbreak after heartbreak. And the biggest heartbreak of all when the jets left town.

I was one of the guys everyone said was delusional when I said the NHL will come back.

It feels like waiting my whole life to see this. It’s emotional.

Go Jets Go!

Huge gold Star for Morrow. What a quiet pick up at the deadline.

All these injuries. This team is so good.

man I am so going to enjoy this next round (I wasn't around in 87 to see this happen)

oh I didn't know this happened (but to be fair the sound was missing for the first little bit of the game, we didn't have sound for the anthems or the first goal)
