So anyone go anywhere good lately, with iHop opening on monday (surely this one will be better than the one in grand forks service wise) I'm kind of wondering if anyone has been anywhere decent recently

 

a month ago I went with my friends to canadian brewhouse.....man that was a good burger but a word to the wise, do not get an appetizer if you also plan on getting the John Candy Burger it's the second most expensive thing there...but man those garlic fingers were excellent, but there were more than I thought so I asked "anyone want to share my fingers?" which they gladly did

 

I can assure you that the John Candy Burger is nothing like whatever John Candy like item that Rumors Comedy Club has....it was just two patties compared to the Rita Challenge

 

I'm not sure if anyone has made a restaurant thread yet so I'm just leaving this here

ugh........it's too early for this. I went to Wal-mart this morning and they have some Christmas candies out already (seriously! you couldn't wait til the end of October?)

I think they were giving away free pancakes for the first day... I would avoid that area like the plague if that is the case.     Elmwood + T-Cona goes nuts whenever any places offer anything free.

Just drove past that area and it was pretty dead (for a Saturday lunch hour).  I'm sure the weather played a part, but traffic was a breeze.

they're probably not quite aware that it has reopened, and yeah I do admit parking in that area does kind of stink maybe if they expanded it to behind the building like Olive Garden and Red Lobster across from Polo

 

The day I do make my way down there I will probably take it home from there

RIP Marble Slab at Kildonan Crossing (I think I may have known for a year that it was screwed because the freezers were empty and I guess the final nail in the coffin came when Freddie's opened)

so I finally got to try Jonesy's in Bird's Hill it's okay I guess, the Whiskey King is good though

It's one of the top places in this area of town.   Much better then  any of the chain restaurants on Regent or anything along Henderson Hwy.  

hey you have no idea how often I crave Diner fries rather than chain fries I don't think the Burger factory comes close

Jonesy's gets a lot of love. Surprised it only got an okay for u.

Oh don't get me wrong the food was great it's just that they took awhile to bring the food

Sad to see a family owned business closing down.   We need more of these and less American chain restaurants.....

Not sure where my parents are going to go for supper now lol.

yeah the one time I did go with a group of friends we finished our food before the mom group's food arrived so we went for the dessert cart

Save on foods score and win has launched and there are alot of soups that are part of the bonus entries....I think this is a great idea there have been certain soups I've been meaning to try
