September 6, 201312 yr Aaron Rouse @A757R15m I'd like to Thank the WinnipegBlueBombers Organization/Fans/Town for the Great Hospitality. Good Luck on the season!
September 6, 201312 yr Lets bring guys in that want to be here. Not guys that see this as a fall back plan. Anyone who signs after the season has started, be it CFL or NFL, is on their "fall-back" plan. I'm pretty sure no one's Plan A includes being unemployed in September.
September 6, 201312 yr Tim Burke just said there was an agreement when he signed that if there was NFL interest he would leave but return if it didn't pan out. he's probably got a chance to sit on a P/R with Jason Vega and earn $100K to sit and play video games all winter.
September 6, 201312 yr The moral to this story is don't bring a guy in unless he has agreed to a contract in advance. Somebody may have dropped the ball on this one.how dare he hold on to the hope of playing big show again... for shame!smh
September 6, 201312 yr The guy hasn't played a NFL game since 2009 (equivalent to 3 head coaches in Bomber time), hasn't been under contract to a NFL team since first cuts in 2010 training camp, hasn't played a professional football game for 2 seasons. For him to come to the CFL and all of a sudden have NFL teams interested the same week seems dubious to me.
September 6, 201312 yr Too many issues on the team, not a good environment for him. Chose to leave. to do what? Go work as a greeter at Walmart? Seriously, this sounds just plain silly. At least a Walmart Greeter is a step up in pay compared to a PR spot
September 6, 201312 yr The moral to this story is don't bring a guy in unless he has agreed to a contract in advance. Somebody may have dropped the ball on this one. He had signed a contract. A player doesn't get released if he hasn't signed a contract. And the Bombers do not announce player signings until after the league has approved the contract.

September 6, 201312 yr I imagine The Bombers knew of the NFL aspirations and the conversation went something like this. Bombers: Hey Aaron, want to play football for us? Aaron: Yes, but I have NFL aspirations Bombers: *snickers* sure, come up north and if they come calling, we'll let you go and if it doesn't work out, you can come back Aaron: great!
September 6, 201312 yr Too many issues on the team, not a good environment for him. Chose to leave. Shocking news. Now, you can't just leave it at that Mike, spill the beans.....

Its almost like... our scouting department discovered someone that was forgotten by the nfl. We sign him, they see his name in the news, and then say "Oh yeah, I remember him now, we should take a look at him"
