None of them. It's junior. It's pretty run and gun

I would think Bouchard would be most likely actually. No nhl coaching experience is irrelevant

Not gonna bother with the Free Agent list, Jets won't touch any of those guys. I'd be very surprised. Only "free agents" i see them signing are AHL free agents to maybe bring some veteran leadership to the Moose. I highly doubt they sign any UFA's for the big club tho, I'd be shocked if they did. Only real need is LHD and i really don't see many on that list worth going after, maybe one or 2 if they took a 1 year deal but they won't so Jets won't be active at all in free agency. I don't see the Jets every really being that active in free agency, I just don't think that's how they want to go about building a team. These guys also tend to get overpaid, they call it free agent frenzy for a reason and that reason is GM's go nuts and then regret that contract a year or 2 later. They might sign the odd guy here and there, value guys to value deals, Perreault as an example. Good Value for Matty P but they won't ever sign free agents to big money long term deals. Regarding the Moose coach, someone over on another hockey site said he heard from people that the Jets are interested in a junior coach who is still in the playoffs at the moment to coach the Moose, so really... it's pretty much 4 teams, Brandon,Red Deer,London and the Quebec team. Can probably cross Brandon and McCrimmon off the least as i highly doubt he's going to leave the Wheat Kings anytime soon if ever.

Like Auston Matthews... Nolan Patrick has a late birthday. Matthews born September 1997. Patrick was born September 1998. Both missed the cut off draft day by less than a week. If both were born a week earlier... Matthews would have been draft eligible last year. Would have probably gone 3rd to Arizona behind McDavid and Eichel. Patrick would be top 3 maybe even top 2 this year. No doubt the jets would taken him.

It's a nice looking stadium but I find it kind of sad that Regina doesn't have a children's hospital. Sometimes priorities are pretty backwards.

Sean McKewen last year went back to school but just signed with them. He's lucky he had the option to go back to school tho. Some guys don't. Not sure Corney and Couture have that option.

OEL is UFA in 2 or 3 years. Matthews is RFA for a long time. Arizona owner already said OEL is off the table therefore there is no deal to be made. Arizona is a good young team. They aren't going to gut it because the local boy who nobody cares about in Arizona is irrelevant to them. Domi is a huge merchandise mover for them. He was born in WPG. Irrelevant where ppl are born... people want a winner. Trading for Matthews guts that team of their young players and turns them in to huge losers which means fans don't show up. Good young team who need some D prospects. Should get one at 7. This idea that Toronto WPG or CBJ would move out of the top 3 is ridiculous. The only teams who could trade for 1st is wpg and cbj but they won't cuz there's 3 very good players in this draft and all 3 of those teams are guaranteed one.
-
Jets wouldn't trade #2 overall for a guy making 10 million a year.
-
Not a chance. Arizona is picking at 7. Leafs won't trade down with them. Not a chance. Arizona would have to gut their team to the 1st overall pick away from Toronto. There is a much realer chance of Toronto taking Laine 1st overall than there is of them trading that pick to Arizona. It's basically Matthews or Laine 1st overall to Toronto.

It is her parents money she is losing. It's her Dads money more specifically.

I'll say this, If Toronto takes Laine first overall and if in interviews Jets find out that maybe Matthews isn't really interested in playing here long term, that would make for some interesting times. You'd almost have to call up CBJ or maybe they would call the Jets and ask what they would like for 2nd overall... Werenski is a no go, but Ryan Murray is a pretty good LHD plus the 3rd overall pick would definitely make me think about it. Especially if the Jets are higher on Puljujarvi than they are on Matthews. Should be interesting. If the Leafs take Laine first overall... man oh man, stuff is gonna get more interesting for sure. What Matthews is doing at the Worlds tho is pretty phenomenal, he's taking a US team with 3rd line NHLers and a bunch of College kids and more than likely are going to win a medal. Laine is on a Finland team that has a bunch of stars and future stars on it, Barkov, Jussi Jokinen, Aho is another, that's just off the top of my head. Laine is playing with some damn good players, Matthews is basically doing it all by himself. Toronto takes Laine first? What would you do? Take Matthews or hope CBJ calls you up and asks what you want for 2nd overall cuz CBJ needs that center more than we do at the moment. Be tough to turn that center down if i'm the Jets but... be tough to turn down Puljujarvi and Murray too probably. or Werenski and Puljujarvi (doubt CBJ moves Werenski tho)
-
I've never said I'd take Puljujarvi instead. All I've really said is there is a chance the Jets might. Rich's post was pretty spot on. Interviews will play a role. If I was a betting man I'd put money on them taking Laine but.... I'm just here to remind people that there is a chance that they take Puljujarvi. I get Laine is good. So is Puljujarvi. Some rankings have Puljujarvi at 2 actually. I'm just going to let the scouts do their jobs and whoever of Laine Puljujarvi Matthews they take at 2 is fine with me. I don't have a favorite. It's really irrelevant what you,me ,your friend, bathroom bill over in the 2nd deck thinks.... it's what the scouts think. If they take neither of those 3.... questions will need to be asked.
-
It is IGF pretty much but with different exterior siding.
-
Hardly. I really don't care who they take. I'm not a scout. Laine? Great. Puljujarvi? Great.
-
I don't think Laine and Puljujarvi are separated by much if anything. Laine is good but so is Puljujarvi. I really don't know who they will take between the 2. I also think people need to accept that they very well could take Puljujarvi instead of Laine. Think some might be buying in to the hype too much. Laine is not guaranteed to be a Jet
-
Lawless article on tsn.ca about the jets and the 2nd pick. The thing I take from it is they haven't decided which Finn they will take yet. It doesn't sound like Laine is a slam dunk at the moment
-
Some talk that tna impact has been canceled by destination America
-
Makes more sense to me
-
Corey Perry with a very dirty intent to injure play on Laine. Perry needs to be suspended. And beaten
-
Chevy has said he's not trading the pick. Posting Eklund thoughts is pointless. The guy is wrong all the time.
-
They have the former LA Sombra in nxt wrestling as Manny Andrade. He very well could be that Latino star. They are apparently quite high on him. I also think no way Jose even tho he's Puerto Rican I think... he could get over big with the kids.
-
Kalisto is cool. Has great matches. He's from Chicago tho but still he's very good. Innovative. Just needs to talk more. Raw has been relatively good the last several weeks now. Gotta get the belt off Reigns ASAP tho. Would love to see Rey come back and have Rey vs Kalisto. I don't think Kalisto is a Mysterio rip off tho. He just wears a mask. All "luchadores" are similar. I really like Kalisto tho.

And apparently Del Rio and his wife have been divorced for over a year now. LOL

Well, I don't think a trade from 3 to 2 would make much sense for CBJ. I mean, what are they gonna give up? The reality is there are 3 guys in this draft that should be on NHL rosters next season and they will be playing for Tor, WPG and CBJ... Honestly, If the Jets have Pulju over Laine, at 2, I just take Puljujarvi... I don't even both talking to CBJ cuz CBJ would just say... well, we aren't giving up anything to move up 1 spot to take the guy that we are fine with taking at 3. The real winners of this draft are WPG and CBJ assuming Toronto takes Matthews, which they will. Cuz really, even tho Laine seems to be the flavor of the month right now, Puljujarvi's upside is just as high. WPG happily takes Puljujarvi or Laine second and CBJ happily takes whoever the Jets don't take 3rd. If Pulju was playing in the Worlds, people would be talking about him right now also but he's not...so they aren't. If the Jets take him at 2, there is a reason for that. What? only they will really know, Maybe they feel laine is a bit of a headcase? hard to say, maybe his skating and d work isn't good enough? maybe they don't like his attitude? hard to say... But if they take Pulju instead, i trust that they know what they are doing. These guys have quite the draft history. They know which guy to pick. Jets will more than likely take Laine but... I think people need to realize that there is also a chance they don't. Don't get your hopes up to high for a guy you have seen play 5 or 6 times at most, i get the media are pumping Matthews and Laine but Puljujarvi is no slouch either. It's very possible that Puljujarvi is the best player drafted in this class in 5 years time. His upside is huge also. Just cuz the media is talking about Laine right now, it doesn't mean Puljujarvi is some scrub who people should be upset about if we drafted him over Laine.

Hefney not completely healed yet. I know.. coach but I'm not sure that is a good idea if he isn't fully healed
