  1. I will agree there with Hunter being face on NXT and heel on RAW is very very confusing, I don't get it.. I actually liked the cold open, it was cool and very ECW ish with Paul Heyman always doing the same type of thing there... But i do agree that it doesn't make sense that he's a face on NXT and heel on RAW... makes no sense. I'd love to see them shoot an angle tonight, hell, vinces birthday, could have Vince come out to celebrate, Vince will get a reaction, then you could have HHH come out and say... Happy Birthday DAD then pedigree his ass in to retirement lol, or have a bunch of NXT guys come out and all hit their finisher on Vince (doubt that would happen, some might kill him lol) and start an invasion angle of sorts with NXT taking over RAW... It won't happen and generally i think invasion angles are over done but... this one actually makes sense.. You could incorporate the real life stuff in to it, HHH wanting to take over, Vince refusing to let go really.
  2. Hamilton hasn't really had to come back to win a tight game tho, they are blowing people away... I dunno, I agree Hamilton is the team to beat but... they haven't had to face the adversity really that Toronto has had to face, Adversity builds character, coming back and winning games builds character... Can Hamilton come back and win a close game? I don't know.
  3. Couple things about Buff... and Ladd for that matter... The Salary Cap... how much will it go up? Will it go up? If they want to win now, who has the cap space to sign them as free agents to these 6 7 million dollar a year deals? Honestly? Not many teams so the options are limited.. They could sign with bottom feeders for big money but the impression I get is they both (LADD at least) want to win now.. not in 5 years but now... The real contenders, do they have the cap space to hand out 6 7 million dollar deals without crippling their team elsewhere? Not sure that's the case.
  4. WR Mike Willie - sounds familliar... dunno why but that name sounds familliar * edit* it's because he was cut earlier this year. AND OL - Sam Longo.
  5. You notice the subtle differences between the main roster and NXT also... It's pretty interesting, TUP, you can go on about HHH but NXT is his baby and I think NXT is miles better than RAW and Smackdown... Just little differences... Like the set-up for example, In NXT it's simple, they even darken the arena lights so the action is focused on the ring, ON the main roster, not so much... Less backstage skits in NXT, NXT is all about the product in the ring... It's simple, its' straight forward and it's good. WWE main roster, they tend to over think themselves i think. I'd be willing to almost bet anything that if NXT went head to head with RAW, i dunno, NXT might do a better rating. Also, you can tell in NXT that the promos aren't as scripted, it's not the same cookie cutter BS from the main roster.. It's from the heart, it's passionate and it's legit and the in ring action is fast paced, it's quick, it's really good, it's innovative.. On WWE main roster shows, it's basically, well, it's boring really.... outside of the guys who were in NXT really... the Rollins, Nevilles, Cesaros, Owens... Hell, even Roman Reigns is all just clotheslines, punches and kicks, part of the reason he is failing to get over with the audience i believe is his terrible move set... He doesn't have a move that makes you guy OH SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT really... I'll give WWE credit tho for one thing... NEW DAY!! Talk about an entertaining team really... Those guys are money really and they show that if you actually embrace your gimmick, not sure how much of a gimmick it is as these guys tend to be playing an over the top version of themselves, then you will get OVER. NXT NXT NXT!!!!
  6. That Match was probably the best match male or female on WWE TV in a long time.
  7. The minus 40 thing is a little overblown, it's rarely minus 40 here, some days with the winchill sure but... honestly it's probably only like 7-10 days worth of -40 with the windchill, our winters in my opinion have gotten a little more mild over my lifetime.... I have no problem with snow, i enjoy the snow but if you take the windchill out of it, well... most days are probably -10 to -20 on average... The Minus 40 stuff is definitely overblown a wee bit in my opinion.
  8. You keep firing coaches every year or 2 and nobody any decent will want to come. Why is that so hard to get really. Look at Oakland Raiders really as an example. No stability means nobody wants to coach there. Fire coaches every year or 2 and you get a reputation. It's not a good one either.
  9. Solid PPV really... several good matches Rollins beating Cena with help from Jon Stewart - very good match Taker Lesnar was very good Cesaro Owens was very good The Tag Title Match was good Amell and Neville winning was a good match The Divas match was ok, WWE just doesn't respect the women like NXT does Overall, 7/10 Last nights NXT show tho... 10/10
  10. Toronto isn't as good as their record says they are and neither is Ottawa.
  11. It is an odd thing to complain about on day 1... They basically play a week from today, 6 days but still... it's day 1.
  12. Even makes more sense to split his reps though right? Doesn't matter who the starter is they'd split reps on day 1 of a long week (4 or 5 full practices). Sure if your talking about a Vet Qb yeah or a backup that can actually move the offense but that ain't the case here is it? But but but here we go.Brohm should be gone period. And if Willy was healthy he might be... But he's not so really, you need Brohm to stick around a bit longer... It's an odd thing to complain about really tho. I'm not a huge Brohm fan and i agree he should be gone but... Think about it... Marve,Brohm,Davis... New kid they just brought in... You get rid of Brohm now and that stable is a huge question mark... it is with brohm but at least and yeah i agree he should be gone, but... At least you got a guy with some CFL experience.
  13. Even makes more sense to split his reps though right? Well, it's sunday and they don't play till saturday so yeah makes sense for sure.
  14. At times the OL is dominant... but most times, they aren't.... We have a very good tackle in Bryant, we have a good young rookie that is learning in Chungh... We have 2 pieces right now, We had 3 as i thought Jace Daniels was a damn good tackle too but he's hurt now so really... You got Bryant, You got a rookie and with the rookie you will get good and bad, to be expected, he will get better tho but then we have 3 spots that are below average. 5 oline guys... 1 is very good, 1 is a rookie.. 3 aren't so good.
  15. Marve is starting tho and it's been confirmed.
  16. It's made for baseball. Where every seat at IGF is facing midfield more or less, every seat at SkyDome is pitched toward home plate, which is basically the endzone of the end facing the scoreboard. It's terrible for football. They won't have to worry about playing football there when they put grass in there and kick the Argos out You miss the part where the argos are moving to BMO next year??
  17. We have a good O-line. We need an OC.No we don't. Our OL is the worst (again) in the CFL.100% false. We have a very good OL. The schemes are terrible for a pocket passer like Willy. What team have you been watching? You actually think we have a "very good OL"??? It's just schemes?Yes. When Willy stands in the pocket for 4+ seconds routinely and still hasn't released the ball, and when the pocket still rarely moves, that's mostly schemes and the QB. Not on the OL talent. And I still don't consistently see an outlet for the QB when protection breaks down. C'mon gbill. The OL is terrible. You can try to spin things any way you want but the line isn't anywhere near good enough compared to other teams. I believe someone timed the sacks, the only time a sack came close to 4 seconds was when Brohm was in the game, he was sacked at 3.9 seconds, Willy tho, Willy's average sack time against hamilton was about 2 seconds so yeah Gbill is slightly off there... The average amount of time it takes to sack Willy this year is something like 2.2 2.5 seconds.. That's on the oline and more so the center cuz most times those sacks that happened that quickly, well Picard was beat out his shorts really.
  18. Lemieux is definitely my sleeper pick to make the team and stick this year... I think he fits on that 4th line in an energy type of roll, possibly even used on powerplays standing in front of the net... I don't know why but... he's definitely my sleeper pick.. I'd honestly guess he makes it over Armia who i think starts the year with the Moose. Just going on what McCambridge said at D camp... I think Armia is with the Moose.
  19. It's made for baseball. Where every seat at IGF is facing midfield more or less, every seat at SkyDome is pitched toward home plate, which is basically the endzone of the end facing the scoreboard. It's terrible for football. Yeah it looks that way on TV and looks pretty brutal in terms of the view.
  20. I dunno... LA is in a division where they should have a chance.. Honestly.. That pacific division is gonna be pretty weak this year in my opinion I see Vancouver,Arizona, Edmonton even with McDavid all struggling... I see Calgary coming back to reality a bit, they had an insane shooting percentage last year that wasn't very sustainable and i don't think Hamilton or Frolik will make much of a difference so while i think LA might not be as good as they were last year, I think outside of the ducks, they are the 2nd best team in that division by far. It's not even close Anaheim LA The Rest are over here somewhere with Calgary being the best of the rest. If i had to guess which 3 teams come out of the pacific... It's Anaheim LA and Calgary.... and i think both Wild Card teams are from the Central.
  21. I'm not sure how embarassing it is, it's just very spread out... Looks like a good sized crowd honestly... just very spread out.. I was gonna ask.. I've never been to a football game at skydome but.. for anyone who has.. Does it look as awful on TV as it does in person in terms of the view? Stands seem very far away from the field.
  22. Yup, Erhoff wanted to go to a contender, guess he see's LA as a contender... Money isn't an issue for him at all, nice buyout from Buffalo there.
  23. While i agree passing on WAUD was a miss... we did need a receiver pretty badly tho... Kohlert, JFG,Bastien and that was it really... We did need a receiver for sure...
  24. The best Canadians do get drafted tho... Covington was drafted, Varga was drafted, Boyko was drafted... It's just sometimes it takes time for them to come here.. if they ever do but that's part of the risk you take really... CFL draft isn't like the NHL draft where you are gonna get you a franchise player like a Crosby or Ovechkin or guys like that... I see nothing wrong with guys chasing their dreams... Big CFL fan, big big big... but you know what, if i played football and had the opportunity to go PRO, yeah i'm gonna try my hardest to catch on with an NFL team for sure... It's not cuz it's the big leagues and the CFL is the minor leagues... That's total bs and just a ridiculous way to look at things... CFL is the big leagues IN CANADA hence Canadian Football League really... This NHL to AHL comparison is BS... It's not the same at all...CFL isn't a feeder league, it's a second chance for some guys league but lots of guys, lots make a career up here and stick around after. CFL as a feeder league? That's bullcrap at its finest... because i look around at NFL rosters and maybe i see 10 or 20 former CFL players in total. Feeder league? Nope. Just another option for guys who want to make a living playing football.
