Wins is a stat... it's a team stat. Just like losses. Not sure how anyone can seriously defend 885 goaltending tho. That's actually not even close to backup levels even.

The fact that our "reporters" loved it should show you they are stupid idiots and should be on chris jerichos list. The fact is this Is a TEAM who is struggling. They are not being put in positions to succeed. Maurice is a great talker just like Claude Noel but he's not a very good coach just like Claude Noel. Maurice says all sorts of things... it's his actions tho that should show you that he's actually all talk... It's all just talk and it's not a coincidence that our super smart totally not stupid idiot media is concentrating on Laine and his center ice give away and subsequent benching instead of oh I dunno.... talking about a certain veteran goaltender who absolutely sucked last night. Bottom line.... Pavelec makes that routine save and the media isn't talking about Laine today. Maurice isn't up there doing a puppet show pretty much. Cuz that's exactly what that was. A puppet show. Your team Paul is underperforming and one of the reasons is a direct result of your coaching and assinine roster decisions and you come out and drip sarcasm. In the last week 2 coaches better than you were fired because their teams underperformed. But hey... here in Winnipeg we are just happy to have a team right? Who cares about winning games. Keep defending the crappy goalie... keep benching the kids and letting the vets get away with whatever they want. It's cool with me because eventually TNSE will see through his excuses and send him packing. Judging by that interview... I think he's probably starting to feel the heat a wee bit. Here's an honest question.. I'll give 3 choices for it... who would you rather have as coach of the Jets? Ken Hitchcock? Claude Julien? Or Paul Maurice? Cuz right now The Jets have that choice also if they want it. So coming out dripping sarcasm.... well... it's probably not the best idea at the moment.

Well. Armia might be good defensively but ehlers and Laine get more points in 3 games than Armia does all year. It's hockey. The team who scores more goals wins.

Pavelec needs to stop that 2nd one. That's a basic save. Yeah Laine turned it over but on a stretch pass in the neutral zone. That's a bad goal on pavelec. Minny has what? 10 shots? 5 would have missed the net.

Helle should be playing... why? Just checked how we have done against The Wild this season. 3 games played, 1 win 2 losses. Hutch in net for a 4 -3 loss. Helle in net for a 4 -1 win and a 3 - 1 loss (final goal into empty net). Helle saved 50 out of 53 shots against the Wild for a save percentage of .943 Going back a year Helle started his NHL career with a win over the Wild, yielding just 1 goal in 15 shots. He faced the Wild one more time last year and had a 24 save shutout. Career against the Wild, Helle has posted a save percentage of .957. But yup... Pavelec. When pavelec starts Maurice says things like his career numbers are good against that team... explain this one Paul

Season is over in 8 weeks or so. I doubt he's back this season. Maurice can say what he want but why bring him back... it's pointless. Give him a Full off season plus to recover. Jets aren't making the playoffs

The strange part is hutch and pav have very similar numbers so far so probably not much of a difference at all In wins or losses. Comes back to coaching again. Blame the youth. Blame goalies. Whatever. It all comes back to coaching and that's not just Maurice but it mostly Is.

For the most part... our entire d system looks exactly like Stuart. What it's done Is actually made people think coaching isn't the biggest problem when it most certainly is. Those stats do mean something. They mean Hellebuyck has been better than Pavelec yet Pavelec plays. This is the problem. He has played better than pavelec. Yeah he had 2 tough games where he was pulled... it happens but he has better numbers... including a better Winning percentage than pavelec does yet pavelec keeps playing. Why? Cuz he makes timely saves? Lol. He's 4 and 3 and has let in 3 plus every game he's played. Timely saves? Bullshit. Donald Trump has coined the term alternative facts... seems like when people talk about pavelec they are using alternative facts also. Noone thinks he's the answer? Good. Then why does he play then? Helle Needs to play.

Maurice is a snake oil salesman. Talks a good talk but his actions say other things. Ehlers put on the 4th line. Pav starting. Buff still getting big minutes. Stu and Thor on the PK . The fact that he talks about the kids and letting them struggle which they haven't exactly done is just talk. Scheif Ehlers Laine are 3 of our top scorers. All kids. It's the vets who are struggling. And until the vets actually get held accountable nothing changes. The argument can easily be made that our best players this year have been ehlers Laine Scheif Morrissey Trouba. The "kids". It's funny to me that people actually believe the crap Maurice talks about when his actions shows that he's just all talk. Whats the difference between Noel and Maurice? Not much actually. Both great talkers but both had/have trouble because of their lack of action

That QS stat is interesting. Quality starts aka 2 or less goals allowed. Since 2007 when that stat first started there is only 1 goalie in the nhl with less than 50 percent quality starts and more than 250 games played. Care to guess who?
