I think Elgersma will be the next starting QB of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Not this year probably not next year but the year after, he will be our starter. If he comes up this year he’s probably the backup next year.

I thought Elgersma had another offer from 1 other team not named Green Bay but it appears they all passed on him. Wouldn’t surprise me if he’s up here sooner than we all think. The politics down there is real, ask Doug flutie about that.

A healthy Schoen would be a game changer. I don’t think he’s fully healthy.

Sterns is out for sure this week O’Shea said. Not for sure any longer. Demski he was being coy about, I think Osh expects him to play.

Regarding woli, I think that ship has sailed here. I don’t expect him back although his veteran presence behind Demski and Clercius would be valuable. However, I don’t want them bringing back vets they moved on from. Need to jettison a few vets, not bring more in. Thomas kolo Kyrie Neufeld Stan all gonna be need replacing probably this off season. Maybe a couple more.

He’s a rookie we drafted this past year. 2025 draft. That would be silly since he’s not an Alford type talent. Dude prob needs development time. I mean. He does. So him having to play is on our poor depth. Corcoran looked solid in pre season, he should be getting part time reps, but shouldn’t be asked to start. That’s crazy talk. He’s like Shay and smith on D, should be getting rotational reps. Should be. Maybe old Joey is a reminder that rookies do actually need time to develop and shouldn’t always be thrown to the wolves. But old Joey definitely a reminder that message boards are insane cuz lots of us complain about lack of reps for the rookies then we complain when 1 of them does get reps so really… does any of this matter lol.

Every team would then start a Jake Thomas. Not just us. So just Wilson confirmed currently. Any other bombers related or maybe cfl free agent related cuts? Manu? Elgersma? Any non bombers cfl free agents cuts we could use?

They do but they keep signing him. So at this point Jake will retire when he retires and that’s when he won’t be a bomber. He’s going out on his terms. I think we should all just accept that. Personally I would let him go because he’s the guy I look at and go not good enough, want to show ppl you serious about winning. That’s the easy move to make. I like Pokey but I wouldn’t go crazy overpaying for 1 year of production. I’d offer him a fair contract with an nfl out but if you ain’t making the NY jets then I’m not sure you getting another shot. I mean I work at a job that makes nepotism hires. I don’t mind but all the new office people are sons or daughters of bosses. In the nfl would a guy who was drafted and cut maybe get a shot over a guy who was undrafted and out the cfl. ?? I’m not sure there but I’d imagine NY was his chance.

Riders got exposed by Calgary. Hopefully bombers take that template and expose them also. Riders tend to start off strong but the old saying the season begins Labour Day , well they historically tend to suck after. Don’t see why things would be different this year.

Why. He’s got more potential than both Wilson and Streveler. Why cut a guy who showed more in pre season than Wilson has in 2 years. Streveler can’t even make a QB sneak anymore. Why not. We have only played 1 plus 500 team right now anyways but BC was 1 and 0 when We beat them. We have lost to 1 team 3 times and 1 team once. We haven’t played 2 of the 4 (in reality 2 of the 3 cuz we are 1 of the 4 teams above 500) and Montreal was 5 and 5 so I mean pretty tough to beat teams above 500 when you have really only played 1 team who is currently above it. Bc is under 500 but we beat them twice. If not they would be above 500. 500 in a 9 team league when 4 teams including us are above 500 is pretty ridiculous honestly. I mean that’s like plus minus in hockey. Doesn’t mean **** dude.

In 2 weeks, bombers and Sask will be 8 and 4. But a little Sask story. I met a dude from Regina on a vacation and he was married to a girl from Regina and they named their kids yeast and flour cuz those be ingredients in bread. Yeah. dude was a fun guy tho, he could count all his sexual experiences on one hand. 3 times mom 2 times sister 1 time aunt… but yeah, I’ve been twice to Regina and that’s probably enough for me now. Bombers are tied for 3rd in the league behind Sask Calgary and tied with the offensive juggernaut Ticats. I mean. The reality is the bombers are better than a few people think. They aren’t the dominant bombers of days gone by but I think that’s more on the D than the O. Bombers D used to be dominant. Bombers O never was, always middle of the pack kinda where they are now in lots of O categories. The difference this year is our D is giving up more points and are leading the league in explosion plays against. That really hasn’t been a thing here in recent memory. The O has their 1 or 2 45 50 point games a year but on average probably mid 20s to late 20s points on average historically. There was a point where our D didn’t allow any points in the 4th quarter for like years in a row. Not so much right now. Medlock was kicking 5 fgs a night also.

He’s been around since 2018. Good stats. I’d imagine it might take a bit to get him out of Ontario now tho. Seems like he’s bounced around between Toronto and Ottawa a bit now. If I’m being realistic I think there’s a good chance Chad Kelly is done in the cfl and done with the Argos and Arbuckle will be signed again. Plus realistically Zach is signed for next season. If Arbuckle can start in TO he ain’t leaving to backup. Cuz whether ppl accept it or not unless there’s some weird miracle, Zach is our starter next year.

As a backup yup. But if he’s starting we are losing more than we win.

Nobody will cuz dude has been in the league since 2018 and teams have been there done that and he’s failed. Argos still have a shitty record. Arbuckle has nice stats but when he starts he loses more often than not. He’s already played for Calgary Edmonton and Ottawa plus Toronto now. Half the league. It ain’t happening for him. With that said I’d take him as a backup over Streveler.
