Don't know who's to blame, but the US recruiting under Walters has been mediocre. In two seasons, they have found one above average player -- Leggett. Cotton may turn out to be another. But that's it. Compare this with Mack, who brought in Matthews, Wild, Washington, etc and Walters and Co have performed poorly in this area. Makes me wonder whether Hall is the main guy to blame for the bad defence, or if Walters shares some responsibility for failing to recruit better players.

I watched Westerman too and he was a non factor. Looked slow too, despite what MOS says.

I watched Westerman pretty close. He was close couple times and I thought he got held at least once. But Collaros was really dealing and the ball was gone pretty quick.

So Terrence Jeffers-Harris has survived BC cuts so far? Was interesting to see him on the field last week.

Did anyone point out to Wiecek that the Bombers won last year in Calgary? Believe his thoroughly researched story on Saturday said Bombers hadn't won there in years and years.

a few news and notes .... Addison Richards walking around with his helmet on .... wait, that's his hair! Jordan Reaves is really a tall, solid dude. Made some nice catches. Williard was great with the fans. He was busy snapping pix most of the time, but chatted up with the fans too. When one lady (not knowing Williard was there) made some comment about how big Jordan was, Williard cracked that he was thinking of getting a DNA test on the kid. Ryan Reaves showed up just as I was leaving. Barron Miles is VERY vocal back there. Liked it. Mo Leggett was among those taking kick return drills. Bastien is wearing Watson's #81. Looked like he can play. I thought Darvin Adams looked a bit more polished than the other new Amerk receivers, which you would expect. Nick Moore had one bad drop, but caught everything else I saw.
