  1. Rather they signed ex-Elks Hergy Mayala or Kyran Moore, both bring more ability than Sterns, but both have been injury prone throughout their careers.
  2. O'Shea reporting in from "Parts Unknown", isn't that the name of a village in Newfoundland?
  3. Yep, Fox had the opportunity to impress and he didn't do much with it, both Woods and Adams showed more than he did.
  4. Cutting Woli. is exactly what many people want them to do every year, once they had Clercius up to speed, they moved on to the younger and cheaper player. There was no justification to ask Woli to stick around as a backup, so they set him free so he could find a new team to extend his career. Win/win it worked out for both sides.
  5. This is nothing new, tomorrow we'll find out the CFL has reset tampering week and will start negotiations over again!
  6. They had their winter meeting about a month ago, I'm sure it was discussed. So league revenues increased substantially last season, despite sucky attendance in most locations? Was that due to gambling revenue or what?
  7. Not sure where the extra $400k is going, it appears they're spending less than they did last season.
  8. Somebody needs to take a bow.... Hey....where did he go?
  9. Don't think they would win, Buck would have tried to squeeze Arbuckle into Zach's shoes.
  10. Video of Jay Person, looks like a super fast edge rusher. Listed at 233 lbs. and at LB on the Bomber roster, on the small size for a DE.
  11. Buck took Bourgoin with him, if he wanted Hogan he probably would have taken him instead.
  12. Wonder where Hogan is getting his playbook from, hopefully Jackson brings his with him Decent size, 6'3" 200 lbs. could be a Safety or just another ST head-banger.
  13. Maybe Hogan is the coach that will occasionally put 2 RB's on the field at the same time, Logan and Brady with a side of Demski could do some serious damage.
  14. AC Leonard is still available, let him juice if need be. A combo of Willie, AC and Vaughters with a bunch of stubby guys in between doesn't offer much for the future, but adding 2 strong pass rushers would take the focus off Willie and get them through this year.
  15. Rumour has it O'Shea's gone on a bender, he's run off to follow Great Big Sea tour the Maritimes.
  16. 2022, the year Lawler played for the Elks the Bombers did well, Schoen was an unknown rookie plus they had Demski, Woli, Bailey and Ellingson for half the season. Now they have Schoen, Demski, Mitchell, Clercius and Wheatfall with the fair chance Pokey shows up within a couple of months. Don't think they have reason to spend big dollar on a receiver if his name is not Lawler, for sure Zach would be very happy to have him back along with Schoen.
  17. Ok, turns out he's not from Manitoba, but he's awesome to listen to, he's like a 12 year old you can't shut up. I'd hire him based on personality alone.
  18. What do yah mean? Hervey's already shut down the lights and gone to bed.
  19. Fantastic! He's a good punt returner and could turn into a decent receiver if he could mimic Dressler.
  20. Before he made Brady the highest paid RB in CFL history by a large margin, he probably checked in with his 2 co-pilots to see if they were onboard with the proposition. Logically he would have thought not to pay him because it far exceeded his RB budget, and most on here would have agreed with that decision. Wade may have seen it differently, considering his main objective is to fill the stands with butts and sell booze.
  21. I think it was Wade giving him permission to go off script.
  22. Who was that? I don't remember him making offers to other team's FA's, he was handcuffed trying to re-sign his own. Amazingly stupid, Rourke earns $200k more than Zach but now costs the Lions less in SMS!
  23. It looks like Walters is returning to his positional balanced budget this off-season, especially if he doesn't bid high on Lawler again. Last year he threw fiscal responsibility out the window when he blew his wad on 3 offensive players and let other useful players slip away due to lack of funds. The balanced approach gives him the financial ability to participate in FA once again even if he can't be one of the big spenders, as long as he's prepared to make the hard cuts rationally when and where they need to be made.
  24. Got a link? Likely means it's an internal hire, surprise, surprise, that would be a bad surprise.
  25. Neither would want to be limited to a set snap count, try Kyrie or BA.
