Odds and Sods - Game 4 Edmonton at Winnipeg
Fatty Liver replied to do or die's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Well in hind-sight the results were no surprise but the details are painful. They did compete with one of the top teams so that is a positive. -
Another option might be Durant, won't happen until the off-season but he is heading towards F.A..
-
O'Shea won't even acknowledge that possibility, it's a non-starter with him.
-
Burris is about to re-live the "Kevin Glenn" experience and you can't blame Desjardins for making either of those choices, the proof is in the puddin.
-
Fact is Willy's skill-set is not a good match for the CFL game, he's the least mobile QB in the CFL.
-
Question is why doesn't Willy trust his blocking? He's taking no more hits this year than any of the other QB's in the league. The O-line isn't great but they seem to now be about the league average in protection. No reason for Willy to be shell-shocked this early in the season and in reality Reilly absorbed the more brutal hits last night of the two.

That was Watkins, probably the tallest DB in the league, covering one of the shortest receivers in the league. Great matchup!
-
Willy is averaging about one long completion per game, he just does not seem to have the accuracy or the vision to make those plays work, they're all hope and a prayer.
-
BTW no sheep allowed on the bus.

Here's one ******* that believes that. http://www.tsn.ca/cfl/video/suits-and-pratt-oshea-s-on-thin-ice~910333

Haven't road a bus in Wpg. for a couple of decades but anything to get you to Crazy Corner and onto a Pembina.
-
I suppose that diminishes their role in the pass rush which might explain why Hall sticks with his scheme. I'd rather see the LB blitz than the Safety.
-
I really don't know if it's possible, it's a kin to turning back time. Gone are the days the Argos used to draw 45,000 to a game in Exhibition Stadium. It's a big town that likes to focus on the big fish, even if viewed remotely. If there was a way to turn the water-cooler talk back to the CFL that would be a step in the right direction but how do you do that?

Fogg is the man. In yesterdays interview O'Shea said that Fogg is one of those few players that can run all day and likened him to Chip Cox, Weldon Brown and Kyries Hebert for their ability to start and play on all ST units. http://www.winnipegsun.com/2016/07/13/fogg-in-forecast-for-bombers-return-game Kevin Fogg was an elite kick returner at Liberty University and his highlight reel is something to behold. The Winnipeg Blue Bombers defensive back will get a chance to put those talents on display in the CFL for the first time on Thursday night when the Edmonton Eskimos come to town. With Quincy McDuffie sidelined, Fogg will get the call to return kickoffs and punts and he hopes to do what he did four times during his collegiate career – take the rock to the house. “Oh man, I’m excited for that,” Fogg says. “That’s a thing that I always loved when I had the opportunity to do it back in college. I’ve always been waiting for that next opportunity.” Fogg returned three kickoffs for touchdowns and averaged 33.5 yards on kickoff returns in his junior year, leading the nation in both categories. He was named an all-American kick returner that year. He had a punt return touchdown in his senior year and had a kickoff return for a touchdown called back due to a penalty. “I used to be a running back in high school so having the ball in my hands was a thing I was used to,” Fogg says. “Having that opportunity is a fun thing, an outlet for me honestly.” The Bombers also took a look at LB Moe Leggett and S Macho Harris at the returner spot this week and have options with WR Weston Dressler, SB Ryan Smith and SB Julian Feoli-Gudino if Fogg doesn’t work out.

They have to solve their red-zone woes, relying on FG's will not be enough to keep pace with Reilly.
-
Never mind the mistake, answer the question. Is that the same "Danielle Smith" who bolted from the Wild Rose? At least she found a job.
-
Bigger yes, but hard to find LB's more athletic and faster than Wild and Bass. BC has succeeded in highlighting both Bighill and Solly, I wonder what the difference in scheme is?
-
The problem is that the MLB spends a lot of time wrestling with O-lineman, plug Wild into that position and all of a sudden it will be Bass making the big plays again and Wild will become invisible.
