Looking Ahead: Montreal Vs Winnipeg
Agreed, teams that fail to establish the running game simply lose more often than not.

More CTE evidence
You have a point but the obvious side effect will be parents no longer signing little Johnny up to play Pop Warner football once the risks are widely known to the general public. I know I wouldn't do it. The after-effects of a concussion is the brain's warning that you did something really stupid and you shouldn't do it again, not something to be ignored and repeated.

BC were keying on Harris and met him in the backfield, running on first down with no gain is a big part of the reason they struggled in the 4th Q.

Bombers @ Lions: Game Day Thread (07/21/17)
I think O'Shea's strength lies in the locker room but without Walters input on personnel decisions, he may have been axed at the end of last year. If the Bombers can't match last years record of 11/7 this year or the next the questions will rise again in two years time.

3 stars + HH BC edition.
Wally platooned Harris with Logan for a couple of years in BC and I don't think Harris liked that situation very much as he wants to be "the guy". Hard to say how he would feel about being platooned with Flanders now.

Coaching and/ or Conditioning?
You forgot Jake's intercept that Knox scored on.

i think the problem is they know BC will always key on Harris, thus they resorted to deception and short dumps to get him clear of the D-line. You need a huge RB to do what Messam does but most teams are so pass oriented they don't want to make that kind of investment in their running game. Harris is nearing his end, I would go out and find the next Mike Sellers and I wouldn't care a lick if he couldn't catch.

Coaching and/ or Conditioning?
Notice how the Stamps developed Kamar Jordan, they didn't exactly pull him out of a hat, he's been sitting on the PR since 2014 learning the game and waiting for his opportunity to play. Bombers cycle through recruited receivers so fast it makes the head spin and even if the guy has all the tools he gets two pre-season games to prove his worth then gets cut before they move onto the next one.

From what I can figure the main reason Hurl is the starting MLB is that he knows how to read the O better than any of his competitors at this point and is able to communicate that to other members of the D. With all of the young guys in the secondary right now that's a pretty important function.

Nah BS, your reply is the definition of an inferiority complex and the comforting acceptance of mediocrity, to say this team can not be equal to Edm. or Cgy. 4 years into the regime is ludicrous. They demonstrated that they were a good team last year and played equal with those two teams, I expect them to be a better/smarter team this year and not repeat the same mistakes they made in the WSF by easing off the throttle and blowing a sizeable lead. I defer to O'Shea and Walters to make the right personnel decisions to improve the team as they seem to be on the right track. What they lack at this point is the conviction to win, smart in game coaching and a fire in the belly to get the job done.- Odds and Sods - Bombers at BC Lions

That's typical BS that goes along with any big project whenever a politician or developer steps up to speak about creating jobs while holding out their hand for public funding. You may see an accountant standing in the background representing some form of financial responsibility but they never let him near the microphone.- Regular Season - Bomber News, Developments & Speculation
Great article on QB ball placement and stretching the field by Marshall Ferguson, interesting that Nichols takes more long shots than any other QB but has among the lowest success rate completing those passes. https://www.cfl.ca/2017/07/21/ferguson-stretching-field-downfield-efficiency/?utm_source=feedburner- EDMONTON ESKIMOS @ HAMILTON TIGER-CATS

Very true, which is hilariously hypocritical as they hate T.O. , ONT. and QC with a passion bordering on irrational psychosis.
