Nope pinning this all on Medlock is wrong. You win as a team and lose as a team. You don't hear that when Medlock kicks the winner that he won the game on his kick alone,same for the few that he has missed. Wouldnt it be easier and better for the league to just put in a rule about teams releasing players that they are not entitled to future compensation?And if a player can sign a deal with any team how is that unfair? Any way just some thoughts perhaps they will look at this in the future for the players and league.?

Yea i get it....so these players are SOL to play this year but get a full salary and a possible window for next year i guess but why practice roster and no games is strange.What good is it to put Vet players on the practice roster? They are free agents at the end of the year and no benefit to that team...

Yea but I'm sure when Mike Richards was signed to his deal same thought process...great team player but smaller guy but when his skating and health deteriorated and his offense collapsed it was a terrible deal for the Kings. Signing thirty year old guys to long term deals is risky. Here is hoping Little stays healthy and keeps up his production . Class guy no doubt.

Good player in decline could be a drag on the team last couple years of his contract if his offense falls off. We can't get players to come here unless we overpay so what choice do we have.
