@olearychris: Among those at #eskimos tryout, former #bombers RB Chad Simpson. #cfl

If the NFL is paying less than Six Million per year in legal fees, ours should be nowhere near a million.Exactly.
-
Allan Eaglson 2.0? Something definetely isn't right here. How do legal fees go from an average of $300-400k per year to $1 million per year in only a few years? And Flory only makes $80k per year and was allowing this to happen? Hmmmmm...

@DarrinBauming: Another new linebacker #Bombers have brought in is Darrell Johnson. Ran a 4.61 40 at 6'1" 257lbs during his East Carolina pro day in 2014.

Lawless Article:It Will Work In Winnipeg
gbill2004 replied to The Unknown Poster's topic in Winnipeg Jets Discussion
Pretty sure he's always said, if it made sense, we'd spend to the cap. -
LBs are a position of concern, but the Bombers have signed some very interesting MLB prospects over the past few months. Have you not been paying attention to the signings? In addition, Sam Hurl is a possible option at MLB. We won't be using the first round pick on a Canadian MLB.

He was a free agent and tried to catch on with an NFL team. He's not a big end zone WR that we need, but I see him as a great replacement if Moore or Denmark get injured this season.

I'm hoping that video is a preview of some of Willy's TD dances this season! -
When we can likely get Gill for free as a free agent next offseason?Next offseason? He won't likely be a free agent next offseason. Especially with 5 of their Canadian defensive tackles looking at free agency after this season. Didn't he say he'd like to play for the Bombers prior to being drafted? If he wants to, he just doesn't re-sign with the Ticats and then he's a free agent Feb 2016.Gill hasn't even signed his first deal yet and is not allowed to sign a one year deal under the terms of the CBA so he's Hamilton property unless they decide otherwise until 2017 at the earliest.Oh really? Did he not sign a 2 year deal with the Ticats when he was drafted? Opted to go back to school instead and didn't sign a deal prior to going back because he wanted the option to pursue the NFL this offseason. Interesting. Didn't know that he hadn't signed yet with the Ticats.

I understand the thinking in trading pick 15 for Gaydosh, especially in a Grey Cup year, but I still probably wouldn't do it. But if Walters did it, I wouldn't fault him. It's the one year rental that scares me, then he tries the NFL and if he doesn't make it, no guarantee he returns to Winnipeg.

Who exactly is doing this speculating on Twitter? The Edwards article does not mention the Bombers or any potential interest we might have.Go look on Twitter. It was Drew Edwards and a few other CFL Twitter type people.

3rd rounder id do.. even if its for one season.. this way if he does bolt, we have an upperhand when he comes back..Pretty sure he meant our 3rd pick (15 overall). Don't believe we have a 3rd rounder this year.

Even though he's a one year rental? I think Austin would jump at that in a second.

Interesting article from Drew Edwards: http://scratchingpost.thespec.com/2015/04/ticats-have-glut-of-defensive-tackles-and-what-they-might-do-about-it.html Speculation on Twitter is Walters might trade one of our top 3 picks for Gaydosh, considering it's a Grey Cup year. I wouldn't make that trade, especially considering Gaydosh is a rental looking to explore NFL after this year. What would you give up for one of these Canadian DT's?

So you don't think Goossen would start over a newly drafted rookie if Neufeld got injured? And I'm not convinced either of those 3 guys start their first season. If the Bombers drafted a guy like Chungh and he joined the team immediately, I find it hard to see Goossen starting over him at any position but centre if it comes down to the two of them. Put it this way, if the Bombers don't get at least one guy and probably more who can contribute this year out of this draft class, the 2015 team is in trouble. Big difference between starting and contributing. And there's a big difference between CIS and the CFL. Goossen has the advantage of experience there, so I'd expect him to start this season over a guy like Chungh.

Bombers add Jordan Reaves to neg list
gbill2004 replied to gbill2004's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Technically, Cameron is part of the BB management team. He's the Director of Communications and Media Relations. I'd put a lot of weight in what Darren Cameron says. -
Nice post. Bombers are paying Hurl like a starter, so I expect him to get every opportunity.
