  1. I've heard it on the radio (either the talking heads / Bauming on 1290 or Irving) mention that Richards had dealt with concussions playing university ball .. not saying that's what this injury is .. have no idea what's keeping him out of the lineup to be honest .. but I have heard similar things. How could he have gotten a concussion after 2 days of rookie camp?
  2. A little disappointing that Gibson was, again, absent from the line up.Apparently his GF is giving birth.
  3. Yep it was disappointing considering the interview was from a couple months ago.
  4. The way these GIFs are going, we're going to have some hardcore porn in here pretty soon
  5. I'm just replying to this so we get to see it twice.
  6. Same here...I've got a condo AGM I have to attend tonight so I'll miss the first half.
  7. Desjardins will fire whoever it takes to keep his job.
  8. Atmosphere at the game tonight was awesome. Crowd was probably 95% Americans. I'm not a soccer fan but really gained an appreciation for the game seeing it live. Attendance was a little over 31,000.
  9. I have solid sources on this.
  10. I can confirm the Bombers will be going to a new Royal Blue jersey in 2016.
  11. @TorontoArgos: THIS JUST IN! Tomorrow's preseason game vs WPG will be streamed live on TSN.ca! You can also listen to the game on @TSN1050Radio! #OURteam
  12. He sure must be fast if he can longsnap to himself.
  13. You say that based on what?Penton said Bellefeuille is very high on Brohm, so it's unlikely anyone unseats him as backup. Penton has said that the coaches are very high on a lot of players. Doesn't mean the coaches have a bromance with them. Call it whatever you want. Penton said its unlikely anyone unseats Brohm as backup because Marcel is high on him.
  14. Good call. I think if we signed him now his contract would be guaranteed for the season. So maybe the Bombers give him a look once the season starts, if Stoudermire's injury lingers and if none of the in house guys look good...What?Players on the roster to start the season get some type of guarantee. That's why teams often sign guys right after the season has started. I believe Romby Bryant was an example of this last year. Some guys have roster bonuses, but nobody's contract is guaranteed until after the 9th game. They get paid per game if on active, reserve or injured list, so teams might time signing guys in a way to avoid paying them a game cheque in-season.Why did the Bombers wait until after the season officially started last season to sign Romby Bryant? It was contract related. Yeah it was contract related as in he was under contract to the Argos. Bryant was one of the last cuts from the Argos TC and then signed with the Bombers less than a week later. No that wasn't it at all. Argos cut Bryant. We then brought him in for a tryout/look, but I recall Oshea saying we wouldn't officially sign him until after the season begun.Link? There may be a link but I don't have it. I recall him saying that on the CJOB coach's show at the time.

  17. His stats were far from impressive. He had one decent game against Calgary, but even then the offence only managed to score 9 points under his lead. He had that one long completion to Denmark and followed it up with a fumble in the red zone. He was no good in the preseason either. To be honest, I have no idea what his stats were in his games last year, I just recall from watching him that he moved the ball pretty efficiently and made good decisions. I'm thinking of his start at home where he ended up breaking his hand. He looked good that game.
  18. Worst nightmare, football and politics don't mix. Unfortunately there's always politics in football.
  19. Overall Portis has looked better to me than Brohm has. Portis really stood out to me early on in camp. Maybe less so this past weekend, but I still thought he looked good.
  20. Good call. I think if we signed him now his contract would be guaranteed for the season. So maybe the Bombers give him a look once the season starts, if Stoudermire's injury lingers and if none of the in house guys look good... I have to believe with the talent the Bombers brought to camp this year a replacement player is already in house. If they have to use a player heading for the PR to temporarily hold the position until Stoudermire returns it's not the end of the world. Anyone know if Reaves was given a look at this position? Haven't seen him practice returns at the practices I've been to.
  21. I've been to 4 practices so far this year and Brohm has looked bad at 3 of them. The other he looked pretty good. I recall he didn't look very good in most practices last year, but I thought he played well in the games he got into last season.
  22. Great. Now use your magic and get them to livestream it?It's certainly possible, but doesn't mean they'll do it. I would bet the farm that this is not in the Bombers plans. What I meant by "no cameras" is without TSN no broadcast of the game will be available to stream. If you want to watch a game recorded off a fans camera, best of luck. I'll stick with Bob Irving's description supplemented by the 3 million adverts 'OB subjects us to. I'm a product of the "black out" era, so I'm used to that level of abuse. Ya it definetely won't happen. I'm just saying it's possible. Bombers will be filming the game for their own purposes.
  23. Really? Cause i thought that he was noticably not as good as willy brohm or marve. Yeah he threw a few good balls but he also was missing a lot too. Came away a lot more impressed with the other qbs. I thought Marve looked fine today but I thought Brohm struggled again. Brohm often has trouble finding an open man, when the others QBs don't seem to be having the same problem. Willy has looked good all TC.I was there for the first and second scrimmage today. Were you there for both? Yeah we were there all day today. Brohm did have some issues today but i think when he throws it's a lot more accurate than portis. Based on the two days i saw portis is the wprst of the three and marve might take the backup jpb from brphm but remains to be seen in the games. I suspect we start with willy brohm marve as 1-2-3I agree with that pecking order to start the season. I'm thinking more next season when Marve is gone, and Brohm an unknown, that I'd be comfortable with Portis as backup. But obviously need to see him in game action still.
  24. I hope Willy doesn't play too much behind all those backup OLs. That's an injury waiting to happen.
