  1. No hospitals in Montreal?
  2. They're weather isn't anything like we potentially get.
  3. People already complain that the first couple games are glorified exhibition games and you want to shorten preseason even more? Not fewer games, but maybe less practice time. Maybe start rookie camp earlier as veterans don't seem to need/want as much practice time during TC. I'm just looking for some creative solutions, unlike you who just likes to complain.
  4. The CFL could also look at whether training camp needs to be as long as it is...maybe shave a week off main TC? With the number of veterans taking a week off anyways for "injuries", it seems most veterans don't need it to be as long. But ya, I'd like to see more warm weather games and the Grey Cup played no later than mid November.
  5. He wore his helmet and was doing drills for the first little while, but he had his helmet off for the latter half of practice. So he practiced a bit but looks like they're easing him back in.
  6. Rempel isn't going anywhere. He's already made the team. Cronk is a bubble guy.
  7. With TSN no longer owning NHL rights, you'd think they wouldn't mind competing with the Stanley Cup Finals.
  8. Handing out resumes? He was chatting with one of the assistants on the sidelines.
  9. Paul Lapolice was at today's Bomber practice.
  10. Willy with a beauty 40 yard TD completion to Denmark. Tuenei created nice separation on the opposite side of the field and was wide open. Reaves caught a nice catch up the middle in traffic from Willy. Brohm still looking good. Scott clearly running with the 2nd team.
  11. Did Morgan have 2 interceptions today? Media saying Morgan picked off a Portis throw. I'm 99% sure that was Willy who threw that pick.
  12. Darvin Adams just rolled his ankle but looks okay. Ryan and Willard Reaves both here today. Willy with a bad decision on a sideline pass that's picked off by Morgan. Portis with a nice deep completion to Gordon.
  13. Willy with a nice strike to Denmark. Cotton and Anderson taking turns with first team offence. Reaves also getting reps with first team. Peach just burned Stanley Bryant...would have been a sack. Brohm looking good today. Willy with a perfect 30 yard sideline pass to Clemons. Willy looking very sharp today.
  14. Practicing special teams now.
  15. Moore and Neufeld still no helmets.
  16. @PentonKirk: The #Eskimos have released OL Tyson Pencer. It's been a bad 24 hours for Joe Mack draft picks. #Bombers
  17. @scratchingpost: Two more additions to the #Ticats injured list: RB Nic Grigsby & DB Johnny Sears. #CFLTC #CFL
  18. He was interviewed sitting on the toilet while taking a #2 a few times. Guy was a legend.
  19. Nothing wrong with Marve wanting more playing time and to be a starter. But if he's the 3rd QB for the Bombers, which is essentially a developmental position, and you know he's gone next year, then from the Bombers perspective, why spend time developing him, when there's another guy ready to step into that role (Portis), who is committed longer term? It's like in the workplace, why would a business spend effort and resources developing an employee they know will be leaving shortly or an employee who will be retiring in 6 months?I'm not saying Marve will be cut, but from the Bombers perspective, there is definitely a strong case to cut him, or try to trade him, especially when you have a guy ready to step into that developmental role who is committed longer-term. Now if the Bombers plan on moving on from Brohm next year and they see Marve as the long-term backup, then that could change things from both sides perspectives. The biggest reason that we won't cut Marve from a developmental position is that the 3rd stringer is essentially not a developmental position. We've (as well as a number of other teams) have gone 3 QBs deep every season in recent memory. He is not here to develop, he is here to help this team when his number is called and he does a better job of that than what we've seen Portis is capable of. Even with how the Bombers have used Marve, I'd still consider it a developmental position, even though he gets in the game in short yardage situations. Nothing suggesting that with some work, Portis couldn't do the same. You will recall the first half of last season Marve really struggled with the short yardage until he was "coached up".
  20. Tim Burke was the worst interview. I felt like killing myself after hearing him speak, he was so depressing.

  22. Is he? I didn't watch the game but people who were watching the stream said he was inconsistent.I trust the coaching staff whatever they do will be the right choice. Inconsistent maybe, but he was still more effective than anyone not named Willy. 6.9 yards per play in which he was involved and 14 points scored overall. No matter how you look at it, Marve has been able to move the offense and put points on the board on a consistent basis. It would be absolutely foolish to cut the guy. You remind me of Roadgriller and his fetish for Goltz.BTW I'm not saying Marve is anything like Goltz. Except Roadgriller had ZERO stats to back up his love for Goltz. Goltz had plenty of TDs. Those are stats. Plenty. IMO, Goltzdeserved a better chance at starting. Named one week, 3rd string the next. Goltz couldn't hit the broadside of a barn with a beachball from 2 feet away.
  23. Fitzgerald seemed to play soft. And like I said earlier, Walters is making this his team. He's getting rid of most players associated with Joe Mack.
  24. Marve was bad at sneaks last year and our base short-yardage play shifted to the riskier off-guard play rather than a play that is safe and should be quite easy in a sneak. Another good point about our QB situation, we either need someone who can sneak or need to work more at teaching the guys we have to do it well. The effectiveness of sneaks and short-yardage plays seemed to improve as the season went on.
