Agreed that was a terrible call. I love conspiracies, so with that disclaimer, I suspect the league wants the Argos and the East to start winning some games, so I wonder if some of the calls were made with that in mind last night.

I noticed this as well. He does this very well. He didn't even get to full speed last night...just playing very smart and following his blocks. Can't wait to see him when he breaks one loose and gets up into top gear!

Some random thoughts from last night's game: I've been a Cordaro Howard supporter up until now, but after last nights game, he's gotta go. He consistently gets beat by his man...he plays too soft. And that's a few games now where he has taken costly penalties. Howard is the weak link of the OL. Time to give Jarvis Jones another try; he was solid last year. With Kuale getting injured, I'm excited to see what Abraham Kromah can do. I suspect he will help improve the non-existent run defense. Run defense is a concern. A lot of missed tackles. I suspect the cause is twofold; 1) short week and guys were simply gassed late in the game, 2) seems guys are trying to punch the ball out to cause a turnover and aren't going for the tackle. I was steaming for a while regarding Romby Bryant, but with Moore back next week, after sleeping on it, I'm okay with keeping him. Not the best game for him last night but he's okay as depth. Scouting departments needs to be looking for longer term solutions though. Run game/blocking looked much better last night but I suspect that had more to do with the level of competition and not so much improvements we've made. Real test will be when we play the Riders again. Very, very impressed with Stoudermire. Can't believe the Riders let him go. He looks like he's the next CFL star returner. Only a matter of time before he breaks one for a TD...hope he does its against the Riders I hear lots of fans saying cut Woods, but I hope we keep him as depth on the IR or PR. Woods has a great attitude too. Washington had a weak game. Missed a few tackles and took some stupid penalties. I don't understand why Willy stays in the game late when it's over. He took a few unnecessary hits late in the game. One serious blow to willy and our season is over. Poor decision by the coaching staff. Get Marve or Brohm some meaningful reps and protect your biggest, most important asset. I really like JFG, but Watson is that much better. I do hope JFG gets back into the WR rotation as he deserves to play. Kolhert making some big plays lately too. You could make the case of starting 3 Canadian WRs, but who do you bench of Kelly, Moore, Denmark? Looking at our remaining schedule, I see us finishing the season with 9-10 wins at most (10 if we split the last 2 games versus the Riders). I'm optimistic, but it will be a battle making it into the playoffs. Good news is we should have Moore and Sears back next week and the guys have an extra long week to get healthy and rested. Hope we don't take the Als lightly, they're slowly heading in the right direction.

My issue is with Howard. Moore will be back next week.

Heard there will be 8000 there.

@Wpg_BlueBombers: Bombers scratches are OL Gord Hinse and returner/receiver Aaron Woods.
-
You were asking who the away game sponsor was. It's the Shark Club.

His cuts are beautiful when he has a 5 yard halo around him in all directions. Too bad that happens once every 3 weeks in football. A running back who can't fight through contact is useless to me. Agreed. I hate it when people say (insert random running backs name) can do a lot of damage when in space. I could do a lot of damage in space. I want a RB who can consistently get 5 yards on first down.

I got the same email. It's true.

Shark Club.

Cotton replacing Woods tonight on returns
gbill2004 replied to gbill2004's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
@PentonKirk: @ArashMadani reports Aaron Woods is out tonight for #Bombers. That would mean Troy Stoudermire will return some kicks. -
Cotton replacing Woods tonight on returns

Woods was 100% healthy at practice on Sunday, they're only practice this week. -
Not happy with this decision. Maybe it's to get Stoudermire also on returns. @ArashMadani: I'm told the #Bombers will be without kick returner Aaron Woods tonight. Paris Cotton will take his spot back there. #CFL

Ya, how exactly does the process work? What's "Territorial exemptions for dummies"?
-
Was Brett Carter a territorial exemption?
-
Unless you plan on having 5 Canadians on the OL you need to scout in the US. And the article says this will pay dividends in 2-3 years. For all we know, Walters is scouting January's replacement. To have sustainable success you need to do this type of stuff.

Where's Neiswander?
-
TSN just trying to create some hype for tomorrow's game to increase ratings.
-
That's actually a pretty good idea.
-
Trouble in paradise? @DidierRDS: The Alouettes intent to put Troy Smith on the 6-game injury list, but Smith doesn't want to and he isn't too pleased with the situation #CFL
-
@CFL: UPDATE RT @DidierRDS: I'm told that Jonathan Crompton is now the number 2 QB behind Alex Brink and Tanner Marsh is third. #Alouettes #CFL
-
Clearly this was done prior to the last 2 Bomber games
-
He said one or six game IR. Six game would give them some cap room to pay Garcia as a QB.
-
Why? Look at who the Alouettes are playing next week. I'd think they have a better chance with Brink. Smith has been horrible this year.
