  1. My guess is his options were to be placed on one game IR or to go on the PR.
  2. Thought I read Barron Miles signed a 2 year extension with the Riders last offseason.
  3. How about a long snapper, a kicker, a left tackle and 9 quarterbacks on offense?
  4. How about starting 12 RBs on offense? That would throw the opposing defense off for sure.
  5. @ArashMadani: Timing of the #Alouettes releasing Troy Smith today is no accident. By cutting him after the #CFL trade deadline, he now can't play in 2014.
  6. Hustler & Lawless reported yesterday that according to a Bomber "insider" Grigsby was selfish and essentially a locker room cancer. This backs up Friesen's article.
  7. This is correct. If correct, doesn't the same thing apply to Grigsby? If a player is released before the trade deadline, which Grigsby was, they can sign with another team.
  8. Three RBs like Mike Sellers might work with this strategy.
  9. This is correct.
  10. Obviously this guy has progressed faster than Anderson. Not necessarily. Jace Daniels can play all 3 spots on the OL. Anderson only plays guard...at least that's what O'Shea says.
  11. Yep that's the book on Etch.
  12. @ChrisRandle_Ad: In regards of Grisby and him leaving our team; I spoke for my self, and myself only. @ChrisRandle_Ad: He has his own situation and his own reasons for his decision. I respect him as a teammate and friend. @ChrisRandle_Ad: I know he'll only do great things in the future. He's a great player!
  13. I've seen Grigsby play and I have zero concern about this. Grigsby was not the answer. Glad to see him gone.
  14. I'd like to see Volny get a serious look. Maybe even feature him as the starter in one of the remaining games.
  15. I wonder if he'll be active on game day?
  16. No. O'Shea said Cotton was starting again this week. Grigsby then asked to be released.
  17. I'm not convinced the problems with the OL are entirely lack of talent. I believe other significant contributing factors are: 1. Offensive schemes. No outlet for QB when pressure arrives early, not moving the pocket. 2. Lack of continuity due to injury. An OL needs 4-6 games to gel. Seems like this year every game there's a new combo.
  18. Simpson is a very good RB when healthy.
  19. I just asked O'Shea on the CJOB Coach's show whether he'd commit to bringing back all 3 coordinators next season. He would not commit to this. Instead he said that the player roster and coaching staff will all be under review this offseason.
  20. Reed was in over his head as a head coach but is a very good DC. I'd be all for new blood too...who are some up and comers?
  21. Let's assume some or all of the 3 coordinators are fired this offseason. Who are some realistic replacements? I'll throw out Paul Lapolice as OC and Kavis Reed as DC. Any other names? And do we bring back Bob Wiley? If so, I don't think O'Shea should allow him to be part-time. That was a mistake.
  22. Willy said publicly last week that 'he couldn't take anymore hits.' I highly doubt Willy said this. What's your source?
  23. One positive I drew from this game was that Brohm looked quite competent.
  24. @PentonKirk: Aaron Woods is warming up, so he'll be going on the roster this week as well. Bruce Johnson probably sits as a result. #Bombers
  25. That's part of the reason to run a slow methodical offense. Allows our defense to rest and keeps the other teams offense off the field. Problem is when we run this type of offense, we don't score.
