  1. Pretty sure that replacement is Jace Daniels.
  2. Somewhat of a big loss...he is very versatile...can play LB, punt, kick, long-snap, hold etc. After Renaud got injured, he was the backup kicker in case Lirim got injured.
  3. Yep, I just called my rep at the Bomber office and that's what they told me. Logic says you just give the Bombers back the $100 if you don't want to renew, but they told me that's not the case. Once you commit to the 3 years, it's irrevocable.
  4. Get a feeling Sears will exhaust his NFL aspirations, if none come to fruition, Don't think any will, Think he will come back to the bombers. Hope you're right Goalie but like I said, O'Shea made him a healthy scratch for half the year. You know he wants to play - he'll sign where his best opportunity is (and the most money) and unless MOS changes his tune it's not Wpg - if O'Shea liked him so much, he would have found a way to get him in the lineup. It was only injuries that got him in. And realized the error of his ways, why do you leave that point out? There was a very clear change in his approach later in the year. Rookie head coach makes mistakes, learns from them. This is a pretty big thing you want to gloss over all the time. I don't think Sears will go elsewhere unless the Bombers cheap out on him or he gets an NFL opportunity. Can you really see other CFL teams making a big offer to the guy knowing that he has had problems staying healthy? Maybe Ottawa but again if you're choosing a team on the rise that you've played your whole career for or that **** show in Ottawa it's not much of a choice. what did I leave out 17? Want to read my post again? I said once Sears got back in, he played so well that MOS couldn't take him out of the line up again. Or, do I need to say that every single post I make (check the previous page). It's more fun when we dream up a personal conflict between O'Shea and Sears...the drama is way more interesting than facts.
  5. Coach of the year will come down to Chris Jones or Tom Higgins.
  6. Incorrect. The top ticket price (excluding club seats) for season ticket holders in BC is $315 and that does not require a 3-year commitment to get a discount. In Saskatchewan for the 2013 Grey Cup, the top ticket price (excluding club seats) was $349 for season ticket holders. The top ticket price for the Bombers (again excluding club seats which will probably be $500) will be $399 IF the ticket holder commits to three seasons.http://www.bclions.com/102greycup http://riderville.com/article/saskatchewan-unveils-grey-cup-101-ticket-information A more apt comparison would be the season ticket holder who chooses not to commit for three seasons, but merely the season ahead. They will receive a $50 discount so the price will actually be $449 - an incredibly high price charged by an organization that has pissed away the goodwill of the community through incompetent management and season after season of losing. The Lions and Riders, on the other hand have had recent success with Saskatchewan being in the Grey Cup in 3 of the previous 6 seasons prior to last year while the Lions won the Grey Cup as recently as 2011 and have qualified for the playoffs for 18 consecutive seasons. They can justify the higher prices, Bombers not so much. Again $449 to a season ticket holder with no 3 year commitment!! That's more expensive than the 100th Grey Cup in Toronto! Top ticket price was $399 to season ticket holders for that one by the way and no 3-year commitment required either. Miller and the Bomber organization are taking a big risk with these price points. With a minimum price of $199 (for those willing to stomach the three year commitment and $249 for a non-committed season ticket holder) I'd venture to guess that the 2015 Grey Cup will have the highest average ticket price in CFL history. It would be great if the organization can pull off a Grey Cup sellout prior to the beginning of the 2015 season - it would fill up their coffers nicely even with the annual payments towards the stadium. However, I think they may be overestimating the demand for Grey Cup tickets in this market at those prices...even with the 10 year gap between games. Where are you getting the $50 discount from? My P1 non-club seats are $499 if I don't commit for 3 years. I thought if you are a season ticket holder for the 2015 season, but do not want to commit for 3 years that you would still get a discount of approx. $50 on the Grey Cup tickets. Thought I read that somewhere else? I got my season ticket renewal info with Grey Cup pricing and there was nothing about a $50 discount. Only a $100 discount if you commit to 3 years.
  7. Might be the first offseason (ever???) no head coaches are fired.
  8. @HerbZurkowsky1: #Breaking. Have learned Tom Higgins will be returning as #Alouettes head coach in 2015. Story to come shortly at http://t.co/WGuLnlIjkv
  9. care to give a recap of what makes you feel that way? I didn't catch it.Well I recommend trying to listen to it. But from what I recall, he talked about how much the inability to stop the run hurt us this season. He provided stats on that too...seems like he's clearly done his homework/analysis. He suggested O'Shea knows the run D is a problem but that O'Shea protects the coaches during the season; that was part of his plan going into the season. Said figuring out the coaching staff is his and O'Shea's first priority now; to me that says there's uncertainty there. If this is what he said then the writing is on the wall big time.... but if they fire Etch and keep Bellefool I'll be irate. One is much more deserving of a firing than the other. Bellefeuille and the offense didn't really come up during the 1290 interview.

  11. Walters was just on TSN 1290. Much better interview than his presser earlier today. Based on that interview I get the sense Walters wants Etch gone.
  12. So your strategy is to bring 75 Nationals to TC? Okay.
  13. CFL has a limit on the number of players that can be in TC.
  14. Where do you think Everett would be drafted this year? Looking like a very shrewd pick by Walters.
  15. Very nice to hear. I wasn't sure if he was playing DL or OL this year. Chris Greaves 2.0 I recall Everett looked lost in TC but he was still learning the OL position.
  16. Very nice to hear. I wasn't sure if he was playing DL or OL this year.
  17. Leggett over Randle surprises me a little.
  18. Is this a standard end of season presser or an announcement?
  19. Mike seems to think otherwise.
  20. I wanna see O'Shea give the good old Donald Trump "You're Fired" to Etch.
  21. Key point. Goodrich is as good of a prospect as Demski in terms of talent. He could be a very good CFL player. I like JFG and Kohlert, I don't think Watson has enough good plays left in him to be a main target. What's the story on Goodrich? Will he be in TC next year? When O'Shea was talking about this on CJOB he mentioned how Watson stayed healthy the second half of the season. Maybe he's on some type of new training regimen where they're more confident in him staying healthy.
  22. I'll second that - Wild is good for certain things, but was too small to stop the run - but Kuale didn't do much for that either. I shudder to think if we lose Wild and Kuale becomes the #1 guy at MLB next year .... I shudder at the thought of ever seeing Kuale anywhere near a Bomber uniform again.

  24. $499 IS the season ticket holder price unless you commit for 3 years. My whole point is the $100 discount is a sham. That just supports my point. Looking at it your way, fans are subject to a $100 penalty for not commiting to season tickets for 3 years. This has Wade written all over it. I've been impressed with his work so far, but this $100 penalty unless you commit for 3 years is disappointing.
  25. Highest price for a Grey Cup ticket in BC this year is $360. The $499 is a joke. Ticketmaster says otherwise. $440 for the high end tickets for this year. Here's my source - the BC Lions official website: http://m.bclions.com/102greycup. Comparing apples to apples its $360 and $499.
