  1. From a growth point of view, this mentality isn't about the coach, isn't about your boss, isn't about other team members, it's about the individual always pushing themselves to present the best version of themselves regardless of what others are doing. That takes disciplined work physically and mentally.
  2. I'm reading that the new assistant coach for the Jets leading our PK likes the aggressive approach. I'm excited.
  3. That's one thing that has never changed in football. If you don't establish your run game your options become limited.
  4. A great reminder that this is why we enjoy and live every BB good/great moment we can.
  5. Not knowing the extent of his injury, why not rehab him till he's as close to 100% as possible before dressing him? Or maybe he is and they just want to bring him back slowly (i.e., game speed conditioning)?
  6. I love sports, I love the NHL and the entertainment that it provides and as a result athletes are rightfully compensated for it but one of the many things that frustrates me is how we are told the NHL is a business that doesn't necessarily equate with how other businesses are run. For example, Connor Brown struggled mightily throughout the regular season but now has over the last small percentages of games in the playoffs produced. I can almost guarantee one that his next term contract will be based on this small body of work not on the larger body of work which then drives up the prices of other similar players contracts which then drives up players of better abilities contracts etc etc. I find that frustrating because if you question this approach when you compare to how other businesses are run you are met sometimes with that condescending you don't know how this works do you, it's what the market is dictating explanation.
  7. Us Bomber fans here are showing varying viewpoints on what and when that is. 🙂
  8. LA literally just gave him away for a bag of pucks (I'm not trying to disrespect DK) but also literally saved themselves some cash for other things they need. If he struggles yet again based on the size of his contract and the production expectations that come a long with that contract, at what point can he no longer use the 'it's a new team, a new system, new surroundings for myself and my family, I'm not getting regular linemates to get used to etc etc) to explain his struggles and buy some patience from the Capitals organization? The Capitals are rolling the dice more than the Kings are here.
  9. That's my hope that we continue to have no legitimate reason (s) to doubt KW and MOS. I think that's a reasonable hope of a fan and if/when we do come to that point that there are (potentially) legitimate reasons (e.g., stubbornness wrapped as patience) to doubt it's okay to thoughtfully chat about it with one another knowing there will be varying viewpoints on the matter.
  10. Yup agree but I'm hoping that they have a good handle on the difference between being patient to being stubborn.
  11. Gotta admit that even though I loathe the Oilers it was very enjoyable to watch the Panthers GM do his toddler impersonation after their loss last night.
  12. Check your answering machine you’ve missed some calls.
  13. No way. Next year is our year. Or the year after. Or for sure the year after that. Or most definitely the year after that year. Or I’m dizzy now.
  14. How lack of compete can happen at the pro level is fascinating to me.
  15. Your fourth paragraph first sentence I’m not understanding.
  16. Like I said in another post, he comes across as someone who is very committed to an approach if he believes that’s the key to success and will embolden him even more to stay this course when others suggest it might not be the key to success and actually lead to failure. A definite quirk of his it seems. Let’s see how all this rolls out. I hope he can say to all of us I told you so but I also hope if he can’t say I told you so he’ll swallow some of his pride and make the changes he needs to for the betterment of the club.
  17. I also think if MOS was told directly he favors some vets a bit too much to the detriment of the club and could improve on his roster management I think it would embolden him even more to stay his course. MOS seems like a genuinely nice guy, knows football, is a great player coach but like every last one of us has his quirks that seem to be showing.
  18. I'd replace the bolded part with suck. Yes I'm juvenile but truthful. 🙂
  19. Salary issue, talent issue, something else issue?
  20. The first telling sign will be what specific adjustments he makes for this coming Thursday.
  21. I know there's an argument that you gotta keep your number 1 in to work out the kinks, get into a grove, keep his confidence etc etc but I think there's benefits in going with a two qb system not just because your Number 1 is sputtering (especially with have Strev as our 1b) where you interchange what qb you send out for the next series and even within series depending on the sets of plays you call. Try it out and see how it goes, that's all I ask, my guess is you'll be pleasantly surprised with its results.
  22. He's gonna turn it around, He's gonna turn it around, He's gonna turn it around said in fetal position.
  23. Says you. I’m ready to go.
