  1. That's not far off from reality with some players.
  2. This feels like a trick question. Ummm maybe ask our scouting department? I'm assuming there is potential/suitable nose tackle type players in the pipeline to evaluate at training camp? What an odd question you pose. As well your fourth point I bolded is so off the mark if you've been actually reading most people's posts about JT. We all love him, we love what he's accomplished both on and off the field but like all professional athletes his time has come and gone but of course you come in hot and label it as anti-Thomas sentiments with no context given at all.
  3. We've seen in BB land that training camp has different meanings depending on the player who you are talking about. In JT's case, training camp is more 'try out my new comedy material' while some players work their ass showing they're ready for prime time but with no chance of winning that starting/rotational position cuz that funny guy over there has earned whatever he wants to do regardless of anything else..
  4. We're literally at the point where he's taking a job away from a more suited candidate. Sends mixed messages in the locker room.
  5. The drunken sailor approach. I dig it.
  6. I think we’re saying the same things but in different ways. .
  7. For sure when I rationally think about you’re right with your points but the Argos with their back up qb gross.
  8. They both hurt but for me the Arbuckle one, maaaaaaan, and the fact losing to the Argos, maaaaaan.
  9. It was good Canada went with character but now finding they may have minimized the importance of melding that with offensive power.
  10. Oh my goodness, I'm finding myself defending KG. To get yourself/the team to the big game, you/team gotta win games unless your name is Arbuckle. So yes when it ultimately mattered (i.e., winning the championship game, he faltered sans broken arm but no he did fairly well over his career helping his team win games. For most things in life, nuances are in play when observing/judging something.
  11. Okay I get it. We're all nuts. Sheesh.
  12. I'm looking at his full body of work as a whole, from start to finish, not just near the end of his career. With this lens to say he always fell short is debatable depending on the KPI's one is using.
  13. Hated when he put on that pucky green color but c'mon man, always? Little bit more complex than how you're presenting it.
  14. Isn't one way (not the only one) to attract talent is longer term contracts (i.e., longer then 1 year) knowing there is a risk? This trend of seeing more and more 1 year extensions is interesting. Or has stability gone the way of the dodo bird?
  15. I see you crunched the numbers. Impressive.
  16. If this is true how does it reconcile with some posters here saying our current stable of back-up QB's in the near future won't see the field (sans short yardage) as long as MOS is head coach? Whether its CS or our existing talent or someone else, we need a competent back-up QB that MOS can deploy if ZC is really struggling that forces his hand to put in his back-up trumping this earned it loyal approach, hurt feelings. I love loyalty, I love respect, I love earned it, I love that player has given so much to this organization, I think they have become very underappreciated values but it does with some at times need be balanced with reality of what's going in that current moment of time especially in professional sports.
  17. Being greedy, wish it was for at least 2 years but will take it.
  18. I was thinking/hoping the same thing but then read the article, he’s 71 and wants to retire. Good on him and many years of happy retirement. Oh and it feels weird that Tom Clements is 71, it feels like yesterday where him and Huff were the best 2 qb tandem in the league ever and continue to hold that mantel today imo.
  19. Fair point but they do stink and really suck. Yes I'm a toddler.
  20. Tom Clements stepping down as Packers' QBs coach after working with Favre, Rodgers and Love All the best #2. Bomber for life whether you want it or not. 🙂
  21. Ask @Noeller he blocks everyone. 🙂
  22. I like that Heinola is getting a shot at pp2 to hopefully showcase is offensive talent on the blueline. Now what has to happen is the Canucks need to take penalties unlike the AVs who took none last game.
  23. Whoever it is (this includes playoffs as well), customize/adjust your offensive playbook to the talent you have, control the line of scrimmage, establish/maintain the run with BO the best running back in the league , distribute the ball with intermediate passing setting up kill shots as they come. Use your existing QB stable as appropriate. Limit gimmicky plays, I.e, please no decoy plays, use depth when needed, be patient, don’t panic, be flexible when needed, don’t just surround yourself with yes people and don’t be a yes person to others when it can negatively impact the team. Easy peasy.
  24. And based on how straightforward all of this I'm assuming in the spirit of being upfront with your existing rostered players MOS/coaching staff let Wilson and Dolegala know from the get go there was no way they were seeing the field (sans short yardage) other than if Zac was hurt enough where there was no way he was returning? Because, as some here post, Wilson/Dolegala are not good enough coupled with MOS's loyalty approach to people who have earned it in his books. So basically Wilson/Dolegala played the role of an emergency back up goaltender that you see happen in the NHL at times? Not a great model imo.
