  1. When you're emotionally invested in the Jets like a lot of us are, they are such an entertaining and maddening team to watch. Just when you think they have figured it out, bam. If Joel Armia continues like he is, he is going to be a really good hockey player for us. I'm thinking Bryan Little must be playing hurt. He's not himself since coming back.
  2. Good grief man. I'm thinking he's constantly doing something behind the scenes that the lay fan has no idea about.
  3. I'd assume our goal is to develop Dom Davis into a starter sooner than later. You would think he'll see more of the field this year.
  4. If that's true and if I'm Michael Hutchinson, I'm thinking 'Thanks a lot Coach'
  5. I'm guessing you could put a lot of teams in that category by looking at the changes they've made over the last 2-3 years. When is it tinkering and when is it a rebuild? What number of changes determines that? Very subjective and up for interpretation for sure.
  6. Yes but how strong is Durant's position in a league of 9 teams with most already set at starting QB's?
  7. Immediately after a play is whistled, a coach has 20 seconds to decide whether he wants to challenge the call. After twenty seconds elapses, that play can't be challenged.
  8. Are you suggesting his teammates are questioning his leadership? My hunch says no.
  9. Not absolving responsibility for the Jet skaters last night but what a monumental chance for Michael Hutchinson trailing 3-2 to steal the game and hold off the naysayers. I'm not sure how many more chances he will get.
  10. Yup it's rational to plug in a previous 20-30 goal scorer, it's also rational to ensure you're matching their playing minutes to their contributions. I heard the commentator mention he noticed more jump in Staffords play against the Flames. The only thing I would ask from Drew Stafford is ensure his level of intensity, effort not change regardless of minutes and line combo he's on.
  11. It's always been important to do this regardless of era. If one of us is on the wrong end of unjust judgment, we sure do appreciate this approach. Absolutely this era has provided more complexities in trying to have an informed perspective on others. Having bias's, assumptions and opinions on others is human nature, testing them on a regular basis is a whole different ball of wax. To ensure they are close to factual takes some work on the judge's end. Each of us have varying levels of ability, commitment and energy to do so. One things for sure, no one's perfect but some are better than others in how we talk about others factually.
  12. As much as I detest the Flames, their PK scheme is something the Jets should consider in adopting. It's aggressive, on the puck all the time. Yes, there is a risk, but boy does it force the opponent to make a play quickly.
  13. I'll rephrase. Planning for the 2017 season started when the last second ticked off the 2016 season.
  14. Might we see some of this recent influx of cfl'ers to the NFL back at some point as I assume these contracts aren't guaranteed?
  15. Great I'm glad you loved it.
  16. The 2017 season started when the last second of the 2016 season ticked off.
  17. My point is, whether there is a strong bias towards Matthews or not, Laine is in the running. If he continues/increases his strong play and others tail off, some will be forced to award him the Calder. So no, at this stage it's not a done deal.
  18. Ahh, he's in the running for sure.
  19. I'm probably in the minority, but I don't like this move. If it was about money and Glenn wanted to much, fine. But if not, he would be a tremendous experienced vet who could help Nichols and Davis. You know what you get with him, I understand that. Not retaining him is a huge risk in not knowing how Dom Davis can actually perform in a real game. (and of course I hope he can do it well).
  20. Don't get Kevin Glenn.
  21. My hunch is that Myers is not at all being considered by Jets management as a needed trade. They will not put themselves in a place where they will be forced to unload him. Some other existing Jet will take that spot. He is a unique piece to the puzzle the Jets management seem to be trying to put together that would be hard, if not impossible, to replace. I just hope his health doesn't limit his career span.
  22. The guy I see a bit vindicated on this is Claude Noel. Burmistrov's inability to communicate with coaches seems to be a trend.
  23. I think you're bang on here. My unsolicited advice to him would be to simplify, KISS.
