  1. It’s not directly relevant to this and all the complexities involved in how our responsibility to one another works but this quote from Tupac Shakur has always stuck with me: ’Just because you lost me as a friend, doesn’t mean you gained me as an enemy. I’m bigger than that, I still wanna see you eat, just not at my table.’
  2. So the logic is these children and their teachers trapped in these two adjoining rooms this murderer barricaded them in had to be sacrificed for the greater good, i.e., any children and teachers hiding in other rooms in the school? What in actual F.
  3. Could you please let the Toronto media know stat.
  4. If only this was not true I'd laugh.
  5. If they indeed are, I hate them even more now.
  6. Majority of US citizens: 'Another senseless mass murder of children and their teachers, we need to do something about access to guns! US Senator response, 'Hey don't make this political'. FFS
  7. It just seems this year more so than previous years how regular season success guarantees you nothing other than receiving a ticket to enter the contest.
  8. Like Hawerchuk banking it off MacLeans body parts for goals. Well maybe not that bad.
  9. Wouldn't fluff coverage be met by fluff routes?
  10. Wingnuts new tag line: you can’t legislate evil.
  11. This is so predictable. The solution to guns is more guns. Ffs.
  12. Not the only thing but maybe the allure of coaching a Canadian team might draw BT here?
  13. Has Rittenhouse visited him in jail yet?
  14. Out of the 32 NHL teams if you took out the one best player from each team and punted them to the sideline the Edmonton Oilers would be the most negatively impacted. Connor McDavid is unreal. He makes elite NHL defensemen look average.
  15. Elie Honig @eliehonig The justices keep acting more petty, petulant, and political - while continually lecturing us about how dignified and non-political they are. Bingo. Bango. Bongo.
  16. I actually like it when head coaches are compensated more than (most of) the players. I don't know why exactly but it has always been weird to me when players get paid way more than the Head Coach. I get why because it's a business, it's entertainment and you're paying for the on-ice talent but still fells weird. Employee making way more than the person they 'report' to sort of thing. I've wondered now and then if it affects the working relationship at this level.
  17. Was in Winnipeg last week stopped at the store and picked up a few things $400 later. Didn’t have my all black W hat in stock. Said it might be in this week. As I have no money left if it’s there can you pick me up one and one of the rider fans who frequent here will sell their sister wife to pay you back? Sorry reflex.
  18. Man I loved that duo Not much of a nick name but what about Joe Pop. Had lots of favs but him and Rick House were high up my list of favs.
  19. 'I don't agree with what you say but I'll defend your right to say it' is sometimes the least smartest thing to say. (see incinerator example above).
  20. Hmmmmmm don't know if I agree with this.
  21. I like how you think.
  22. I have absolutely no faith in this legal system based on their track record. History tells us this is their 'due diligence, covering all areas' but then will come out with 'results were quite inconclusive, need more information', a bit of finger wagging and a few low level arrests and back to the sideline they go. It's a joke and when I say it's a joke its not based on theory. They are our last line of defense against insanity and I'm not seeing anything that gives one confidence. I hope I'm completely wrong on this, I didn't show enough patience and missed tons of complexity in how slow they react to illegal insane behaviour.
  23. I'm glad you're not doing the interview. :-)
  24. Excellent point, never thought of that influencer.
  25. My guess, and it's purely a guess, is money won't be his number one closure. He's going to get a boat load of money no matter the team. Level of existing talent, locker room dynamics, how much challenge he wants to take on, having a huge say/influence in changes needed, autonomy to assemble his coaching staff and how he will coach and family input will drive where he goes.
