  1. CDC Will Relax School Reopening Guidelines, Mike Pence Says President Donald Trump is waging a pressure campaign against state and local governments. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention will weaken guidelines for reopening schools that President Donald Trump said were too stringent, Vice President Mike Pence said Wednesday. “The president said today, we just don’t want the guidance to be too tough,” Pence said during a press briefing at the Department of Education. “That’s the reason why next week, the CDC is going to be issuing a new set of tools, five different documents that will be giving even more clarity on the guidance going forward.” The CDC is under clear pressure from the White House to amend its current nonbinding guidelines for schools, which say, among other things, that teachers and students should wear cloth masks and that desks should be “at least 6 feet apart when feasible.” Trump tweeted earlier Wednesday that he disagreed with the CDC “on their very tough & expensive guidelines for opening schools” and “will be meeting with them!!!” He also threatened to cut off funding to schools if they did not reopen quickly enough, although only Congress has the authority to do so. https://www.huffingtonpost.ca/entry/pence-cdc-school-guidelines-coronavirus_n_5f06124bc5b67a80bc01eb88?ri18n=true
  2. Florida Church Raided After Selling Bleach as COVID-19 Cure Authorities conducted a raid Wednesday afternoon at the Genesis II Church of Health and Healing in Florida after the Food and Drug Administration issued an injunction ordering a pastor and his sons to stop distributing of phony COVID-19 cure called “Miracle Mineral Solution.” The solution contains the same amount of chlorine dioxide content as industrial bleach. The pastor, Mark Grenon, was named in the injunction, along with his sons Jonathan Grenon, Jordan Grenon, and Joseph Grenon. The founder of the church, Jim Humble, was formerly a member of the Church of Scientology and believes himself to be a billion-year-old god from Andromeda. Humble has claimed that the Miracle Mineral Solution is the cure to numerous diseases https://www.thedailybeast.com/genesis-ii-church-of-health-and-healing-in-florida-raided-after-selling-bleach-as-covid-19-cure?ref=home
  3. You may wish to consider the Jewish adage, "Be careful what you wish for- you might get it.". If the GOP voters drop out of the voting, it could well give Trump another reason to declare the election invalid and refuse to leave power. He has already declared that the coing election is "rigged" and seems to be setting the scene for violence to come.
  4. Kanye West swirls conspiracies about coronavirus vaccine: “They want to put chips inside of us" West cast dark aspersions against a potential vaccine after purportedly launching his presidential campaign. Kanye West cast dark aspersions against a potential coronavirus vaccine as he launches a supposed presidential campaign. The rapper and producer claims he had the potentially deadly virus in February, but West told Forbes he's in no hurry to get his children vaccinated — against coronavirus or other ailments. "It's so many of our children that are being vaccinated and paralyzed," West claimed. "So when they say the way we're going to fix COVID is with a vaccine, I'm extremely cautious. That's the mark of the beast." After comparing a potential vaccine, which multiple governments and companies are rushing to produce, to an apocalyptic symbol, West spouted off some widely held conspiracy theories about coronavirus prevention. "They want to put chips inside of us, they want to do all kinds of things, to make it where we can't cross the gates of heaven," West said. "I'm sorry when I say they, the humans that have the Devil inside them. And the sad thing is that, the saddest thing is that we all won't make it to heaven, that there'll be some of us that do not make it. Next question." https://www.salon.com/2020/07/08/kanye-west-swirls-conspiracies-about-coronavirus-vaccine-they-want-to-put-chips-inside-of-us_partner/
  5. Impeachment Witness Lt. Col. Vindman Retires From Army, Citing Retaliation Campaign From Trump Key impeachment inquiry witness Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman is retiring from the U.S. Army after 21 years of military service. Vindman reportedly made the decision after determining that his career would be stunted due to political retaliation from President Donald Trump and his allies. Vindman’s lawyer said he’d already experienced a “campaign of bullying, intimidation, and retaliation” from the president following his testimony in the impeachment inquiry last year. Trump fired Vindman as the National Security Council’s top Ukraine expert and shortly thereafter fired his twin brother, who had been an NSC lawyer. “The President of the United States attempted to force LTC Vindman to choose: Between adhering to the law or pleasing a President. Between honoring his oath or protecting his career. Between protecting his promotion or the promotion of his fellow soldiers,” said Vindman’s lawyer, Amb. David Pressman. https://www.thedailybeast.com/lt-col-alexander-vindman-retires-from-army-citing-retaliation-campaign-from-president-donald-trump
  6. Trump Threatens States: Send Kids Back to School During Raging Pandemic or Lose Funding President Donald Trump has attempted to strong-arm state leaders into reopening schools during the raging coronavirus pandemic by threatening to revoke their funding. In a Wednesday morning tweet, Trump wrote: “In Germany, Denmark, Norway, Sweden and many other countries, SCHOOLS ARE OPEN WITH NO PROBLEMS. The Dems think it would be bad for them politically if U.S. schools open before the November Election, but is important for the children & families. May cut off funding if not open!” Trump followed up on his statement Wednesday morning, stating that he disagrees with the CDC guidelines for reopening schools. “I disagree with @CDCgov on their very tough & expensive guidelines for opening schools. While they want them open, they are asking schools to do very impractical things. I will be meeting with them!!!” the president tweeted. https://www.thedailybeast.com/trump-threatens-states-to-send-kids-back-to-school-during-raging-pandemic-or-lose-funding?ref=home
  7. Ron McLean had to put up with Cherry's off-screen objectionable comments for years and said nothing, so he was desperate to not get tarred with the same brush as Cherry. I do not blame him to get away from that.
  8. Scary to say, Carlson is being touted by some GOP as the replacement for Trump once the American voters get around to pulling the lever and flushing Trump away.
  9. You people ought to be grateful to be allowed to come in there.
  10. Tucker Carlson Accused Of Echoing White Supremacist Talking Points On Fox News Fox News host's on-screen graphic is being compared to the infamous "14 words." Fox News host Tucker Carlson is getting slammed on social media for an on-screen graphic that echoes a key white supremacist talking point. With an image on the screen of Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) and Sen. Tammy Duckworth (D-Ill.) ― both women of color born overseas ― Carlson’s text warned that “we have to fight to preserve our nation & heritage.” Critics said the phrase looked like an homage to the infamous “14 words,” or the white supremacist slogan “we must secure the existence of our people and a future for white children.” (The neo-fascists in the US becoing more and more overt as they sink in the polls)
  11. That only applies to peons.
  12. According to a CNN contributor, the tell-all book by Trump's neice is even more scathing than anyone had thought. Trump paid someone to take his SAT test for him, and after that it gets worse. Excerpts from psychologist Mary Trump’s upcoming tell-all about her uncle, President Donald Trump, allege sociopathy and narcissism in the Trump family and claim the president had his worldview “perverted” by his father Fred Trump, among other explosive claims. Here are five stunning revelations from the book: In her book, Mary Trump claims Fred “destroyed” a young Donald Trump by targeting his “ability to develop and experience the entire spectrum of human emotion,” according to the Washington Post, which acquired a copy ahead of its release next week. Donald Trump had a good relationship with his father because “his personality served his father’s purpose,” Mary Trump wrote, adding, “That’s what sociopaths do: they co-opt others and use them toward their own ends — ruthlessly and efficiently, with no tolerance for dissent or resistance. By limiting Donald’s access to his own feelings and rendering many of them unacceptable, Fred perverted his son’s perception of the world and damaged his ability to live in it,” she went on, claiming Fred Trump “hated it” when Donald Trump’s older brother Fred Trump Jr. — who died in 1981 at the age of 42 after a battle with alcoholism — “screwed up or failed to intuit what was required of him.” “But he hated it even more then, after being taken to task, Freddy apologized,” Mary Trump wrote, alleging that Fred senior “would mock him” and “wanted his oldest son to be a ‘killer.’” Mary Trump goes on to claim Donald Trump “had plenty of time to learn from watching Fred humiliate” Fred Trump Jr. and learned “that it was wrong to be like Freddy.” Trump allegedly paid someone to take his SATs and went to see a movie instead of visiting his brother in the hospital. According to the New York Times, which also acquired an advanced copy of the book, Mary Trump alleges that her uncle “paid someone to take” his SAT exam which then helped the president “gain admittance as an undergraduate to the University of Pennsylvania’s prestigious Wharton business school.” The New York Times also revealed that Mary Trump “tells the story in her book” about how the Trump family allegedly sent Fred Trump Jr. “to the hospital alone on the night of his death,” and that “No one went with him,” including Donald Trump, who allegedly “went to see a movie.” Trump’s sister allegedly called him a clown, mocked his presidential run, and said he only goes to church for PR purposes. Mary Trump writes in her book that Donald Trump’s sister Maryanne Trump Barry mocked his presidential run, saying, “He’s a clown,” and “This will never happen,” before the two spoke about Trump’s “reputation as a faded reality star.” She also writes that her aunt said, “The only time Donald went to church was when the cameras were there… It’s mind boggling. But that’s all about his base. He has no principles. None!” Mary Trump assesses Trump’s psychological “pathologies,” alleges narcissism. According to the New York Times, Mary Trump also “asserts that her uncle has all nine clinical criteria for being a narcissist. And yet, she notes, even that label does not capture the full array of the president’s psychological troubles.” “Donald’s pathologies are so complex and his behaviors so often inexplicable that coming up with an accurate and comprehensive diagnosis would require a full battery of psychological and neurophysical tests that he’ll never sit for,” she reportedly observes, adding, “Donald has been institutionalized for most of his adult life, so there is no way to know how he would thrive, or even survive, on his own in the real world.”
  13. Trump and company are no longer interested in even trying to look non-corrupt. They are doomed and they know it, so they, like the PC government in Saskatchewan under Grant Devine, are governing like an army of occupation.
  14. That's a weird misuse of a phrase. Its supposed to be," walk a mile in my shoes".
  15. To state the obvious- the expansion talks for the CFL are dead in the water for the foreseeable future.
  16. As Florida COVID-19 Cases Skyrocket, State Orders All Schools To Reopen Next Month School districts must provide a full array of services for families who wish to educate their children in a brick and mortar school. Florida’s education commissioner on Monday ordered schools to reopen for in-person instruction in August, even as coronavirus cases jam hospitals in the state. According to an “emergency order” signed by Commissioner Richard Corcoran, public school districts and charter school boards must open all kindergarten through 12th-grade schools for at least five days a week. Although schools may also offer remote learning, parents must have the option to send their children to a brick and mortar school. https://www.huffingtonpost.ca/entry/florida-schools-reopening-august-coronavirus_n_5f03df40c5b6e97b5689320b?ri18n=true
  17. Protests Reignite After New Video Shows New York Cop Kneeling on Man’s Neck Protesters gathered outside Schenectady police headquarters in New York state Monday night after a video appeared to show a city police officer kneeling on a man’s neck. The Times Union reported that the man in the video, named as 31-year-old Yugeshwar Gaindarpersaud, was detained outside his home Monday morning. In the video, a man who is reported to be Gaindarpersaud’s father can be heard yelling at the cop: “You got the foot on his head!” Schenectady police issued a statement saying that its Office of Professional Standards is investigating the incident, but did not specifically comment on the scenes recorded in the video. Police said they were called to the house as part of a neighbor dispute. “The department has been made aware of a video circulating on social media partially depicting the incident. The incident in its entirety is currently being reviewed by the Schenectady Police Department’s Office of Professional Standards,” the department said. https://www.thedailybeast.com/schenectady-police-investigate-video-showing-cop-kneeling-on-yugeshwar-gaindarpersauds-neck?ref=home
  18. Breonna Taylor’s Death Was Connected to Shady Louisville Gentrification Plan: Lawsuit Lawyers for Breonna Taylor allege the 26-year-old was targeted in a police operation to gentrify a western Louisville neighborhood across town. Breonna Taylor, a Kentucky EMT worker fatally shot in her home in March, died as a result of a politically-driven police operation “to clear out” a Louisville street to make way for a multi-million gentrification plan, a lawsuit filed by the 26-year-old’s family states. Taylor, who worked for two local hospitals, and her boyfriend were asleep in their apartment on March 13 when three officers executed a “no-knock” search warrant looking for a suspected drug dealer who lived in a different part of town. Taylor was shot eight times, spurring an FBI investigation and unleashing a wave of protests alongside the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis and Ahmaud Arbery in Georgia. “Breonna’s home should never have had police there in the first place,” an amended lawsuit filed by Taylor’s family in Jefferson Circuit Court Sunday states. “When the layers are peeled back, the origin of Breonna’s home being raided by police starts with a political need to clear out a street for a large real estate development project and finishes with a newly formed, rogue police unit violating all levels of policy, protocol, and policing standards.” https://www.thedailybeast.com/breonna-taylors-death-connected-to-gentrification-plan-in-west-louisville-lawyers-allege-in-amended-lawsuit?ref=home
  19. Its a bit late to expect sanity from Trump, his drones or Faux News.
  20. TRUMP CAMPAIGN VOWS TO DEFEND JESUS!!!! Trump campaign vows to defend famous statue of Jesus — that’s located in Brazil. President Donald Trump’s campaign is making a solemn vow to supporters that he will never allow the destruction of iconic statues located in foreign countries. The Daily Beast reports that the Trump campaign over the weekend sent out a new ad featuring a photo of the Cristo Redentor in the Brazilian city of Rio de Janeiro and informed supporters that “WE WILL PROTECT THIS.” The Cristo Redentor is perhaps the most famous landmark in all of Brazil, but apparently no one on the Trump campaign realized that the statue was not located in the United States. (I told you this was going to be crazier and crazier)
  21. Trump Rage-Quits Fox News After Network Shows Him Trailing Joe Biden In Polls President Donald Trump said he’s done with Fox News after the network on Sunday showed him trailing former Vice President Joe Biden in the polls. Trump claimed he was leading in “real polls” but did not cite any: Trump has repeatedly claimed that 96 percent of Republicans approve of him. While he does enjoy high levels of support among members of his party, there are no recent polls that show him reaching that level. Last week, a Hill-Harris X poll found he had an 82 percent approval rating among Republicans, down from 91 percent in May. In addition to attacking Fox, Trump also urged his supporters to change the channel. Trump has repeatedly attacked news agencies for reporting on polls unfavorable to him and even sent a “cease and desist” threat to CNN last month for broadcasting a poll that showed him trailing Biden by 14 points. https://www.huffingtonpost.ca/entry/trump-quits-fox-news_n_5f02ae8fc5b6acab28527a59?ri18n=true
  22. The Ticking Time Bomb of HIV in the COVID-Plagued South The dire situation in Mississippi—where disease surveillance for HIV has succumbed to coronavirus chaos—could send the larger region into a death spiral. Since her HIV diagnosis 24 years ago, Laurie Ann Lewis can count on one hand the number of times she’s missed her quarterly appointment for blood work. Both were this spring. For patients with the deadly virus that causes AIDS, regular blood draws are the only way to make sure their medication is keeping their viral loads in check. But as cases of another infectious disease, COVID-19, surged earlier this year, Lewis’s doctor told her to stop coming in. Labs had become overwhelmed with coronavirus testing. Blood work for patients with HIV would have to wait. https://www.thedailybeast.com/the-ticking-time-bomb-of-hiv-in-covid-plagued-mississippi?ref=home
  23. Trump Wrongly Accuses NASCAR Driver Bubba Wallace of Noose ‘Hoax,’ Defends Confederate Flag President Donald Trump kicked off the week by slamming NASCAR driver Bubba Wallace, falsely accusing him of a “hoax” after a suspected noose was found hanging in his garage at Alabama’s Talladega Superspeedway last month. NASCAR officials found the rope—and informed Wallace of its existence—weeks after it banned the racist Confederate flag from events. The FBI investigated and declared that the rope should not be considered a hate crime, though photos emerged showing it was clearly a noose. “Has @BubbaWallace apologized to all of those great NASCAR drivers & officials who came to his aid, stood by his side, & were willing to sacrifice everything for him, only to find out that the whole thing was just another HOAX?” Trump tweeted Monday morning before slamming the racing organization for banning the Confederate flag. “That & Flag decision has caused lowest ratings EVER!” https://www.thedailybeast.com/donald-trump-attacks-black-nascar-driver-bubba-wallace-over-noose-hoax?ref=home
  24. We can only hope that she was smart enough to create a poison pill that if she dies, someone, somewhere will spill all the beans to the world. Her father, Robert Maxwell was apparently assassinated by Israeli agents but was not wise enough to do this.
