Blue Bombers - 2023 Regular Season - Discussion Thread
Tracker replied to JCon's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
I am pretty sure that I didn't want to know that our head coach is a podophile. -
I'm sending my tux out to be freshened up for the grand opening.

I can't recall who said this, but it went, "Don't let the truth get in the way of a good story".

Nic Cage's judgement is very open to question. He once sued his business manager for mismanaging his money. Cage lost the case when the manager produced volumes of receipts detailing Cage's extravagant spending buying, among other things, a herd of emus that were allowed to roam free and John Merrick's skeleton.

Global spewing trash? I am shaken to the core of my being. Followed by hijabs and public stonings.

CFL - 2023 Regular Season - Discussion Thread

Mitchell may not have the arm for the 20-30 yard touch passes any more, but the 'Cats have enough good receivers that can run the crosses and outs to give our linebackers a workout. Between those and the running game that we still seem to be vulnerable to, this is not gonna be a walk in the park for the Blue. -
There seems to be a pattern emerging here.

RIGHT WING CHAOS AS FOX IS THREATENING TO SUE TUCKER CARLSON OVER TWITTER SHOW Fox News has notified Tucker Carlson that he has breached his contract by launching a new show on Twitter, and legal action could be coming. Axios reported: Shortly after Carlson posted the first episode of his new show on Twitter Tuesday evening, Fox News general counsel Bernard Gugar sent a letter to Carlson’s lawyers saying Carlson “is in breach” of his contract agreement. “In connection with such breach and pursuant to the Agreement, Fox expressly reserves all rights and remedies which are available to it at law or equity.” According to Fox, Carlson signed a contract that makes him exclusive to Fox News and is prohibited from doing any other type of show whether it is TV, radio, or Internet while still under contract to Fox News. Carlson’s contract reportedly runs through 2024, so if Fox decides to sue him to keep him off the air, the former top-rated host will lose all momentum if he tries to launch a new venture after his current contract has expired. Fox and Carlson are already locked in a battle about his firing from the network, and it looks like Carlson might have tried to put one over on Fox while playing Elon Musk for the fool. Twitter should have been well versed in Carlson’s Fox contract before they ever agreed to host his show. Fox News could be out to bury Tucker Carlson so that by the time he is legally allowed to return, he will have no audience left to return to.

Because Cons have smeared excrement all over themselves to the extent where they are ashamed to be identified as such. No credibility, so they try to make it look like an independent third party is raising concerns.

The larger issue is that Bighill ain't getting any younger, and with aging, a few things are inevitable: he will slow down a bit more every year, become more injury-prone and take longer to heal. Like it or not, this is inevitable and the Bombers need to start looking for a replacement with increasing urgency. I was hoping that Wade would be that person, but apparently not. And excessive verbosity. -
Not my favourite L & O series but welcome nonetheless. It does point out the dearth of fresh ideas in TV series, though.

That is very good news! I have driven by their former bakery at the corner of Erin and St. Matthews but have not seen any signs of life there.

This is typical of the fear and smear tactics that right-wingers use when it becomes apparent that they have screwed up so badly that they have no chance of winning the election. Those who claim that the left is as guilty as the right, need to just look around.

The Russians did the same thing in WW2 in trying to halt or slow German advances. All they did then was to drown some 15,000 of their own soldiers, Predictably, Russia is blaming Ukraine while saying that Russia is winning every battle and destroying a lot of Ukrainian military assets. This flooding will kill thousands of wild and domestic animals while cutting off the supply of drinking water to the whole Crimean peninsula where several thousand Russian troops are stationed. The military will probably have some stores of water but the civilian population will have little if any. This will precipitate a humanitarian crisis.

Just what we need here in Canada- another Christo-fascist organization.

Astrud Gilberto, Singer Of 'The Girl From Ipanema,' Dead At 83 NEW YORK (AP) — Astrud Gilberto, the Brazilian singer, songwriter and entertainer whose off-hand, English-language cameo on “The Girl from Ipanema” made her a worldwide voice of bossa nova, has died at age 83. Musician Paul Ricci, a family friend, confirmed that she died Monday. He did not provide additional details. Born in Salvador, Bahia and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Gilberto became an overnight, unexpected superstar in 1964, thanks to knowing just enough English to be recruited by the makers of “Getz/Gilberto,” the classic bossa nova album featuring saxophonist Stan Getz and her then-husband, singer-songwriter-guitarist João Gilberto.
