Agree with a lot of your assessment of the BC roster. To be fair Rigmaiden was only mad GM in Nov 2024 so a lot of the brutal contracts are millstones he inherited. Obviously I’m not a Lions fan but just for the health and competitiveness of that franchise, I think we see Rigmaiden make his mark over the next offseason and beyond.

What about a LOTW where you get a strike removed if your guy gets 2 td’s or more. Asking for a friend 😬

2019 Shawn Lemon pancakes Nichols and a blown shoulder ends his season. Streveler on one leg in Calgary, looks like his season is done (we also know how that turned out) Collaros starts the last game of the season. Unless you mean the off-season choice to part ways with Nichols?

The Bombers GC defensive game plan was to give Arbuckle all kinds time to hopefully confuse him and let him eff it up himself. Zero pressure and coverage seemed off even when the game was still within reach. Guy was coached perfectly to just take what was given… and the Bombers obliged.

Dalke is one of those who passes off being a goon as skill. Two steps too late and he’ll still go through someone. No sportsmanship at all.

Rourke’s o-line already dropped like flies and BC has done little to address their junk defence. How’s he gonna go full MOP when he’s running for his life or eating sacks while waiting for Buck’s long intermediate and deep routes to develop. Also hard to rack up stats while watching your defence get marched on all up and down the field.

Adams and Woods were either left off the game day roster or hurt for long stretches last year. I do see your point though, having our DT’s brutalize Kola in camp actually isn’t saying much… but the dl was still better during rare live snaps when JT was on the sideline. JT taking most of the snaps and not having a Nevis or Stove type next to him for sure been a key issue. Really bad composition and use of DE rotation also frustrating to see.

At least we get spared clips of camp tippy toes…. Year after year there are at least one or two vids of Kola getting absolutely destroyed by a DT. Last year it was either Adams or Woods making him look stupid. Just saw a clip of #94, Adams again - put Kola on roller skates. Just insane that the team doesn’t see any need to upgrade center.

Chris Smith was the only returner worth a damn last year and was cut. Came back from injury, re-signed, and was promptly banned to the PR for the rest of the season. Instead we got lame-leg Lucky returning the ball the rest of the year. Finding players and using players… our favourite topic but it’s true.

It’s definitely a familiar refrain… players say they went long stretches with no contact. A.Harris, Jeffcoat, Janarion Grant, Bighill… Kyle Walters did the right thing letting some of these players go but these sorts of stories are disappointing. Are the hard conversations that tough to have? Sweet jeeeezuz is Fatboi that intimidating, just shove another one year contract at him and hope he hangs up the cleats the season after??
