list him as a HB next year, and don't recall if you have to designate your emergency QB before hand...pretty sure you don't but he could be your defacto "emergency" QB...Scout and draft and use free agency to allow you to use a Canadian as an extra LB or DB you normally DI for and and just roster him as a normal import Then he can be on filed anywhere..anytime with the QB still on the field..I think that could be a lethal opportunity...never happen mind you, but if it did.....

Thing is tho...if Roberts came to play that game..Westwood may not have had to try those field goals, and also as Roberts went..so did the field opening up for the receivers...I was told that opposition players could smell the booze oozing outta him on the field and knew he was gonna be a non factor in hat game Which didn't surprise me as many a night I sent him home when I bounced at Teasers over the course of a season well past closing either by cab or drive him personally...and many a time it was night before a game..great guy don't get me wrong and an unreal talent, but man what coulda been with a dedication to his craft..even a half arsed effort

no I said is he gonna run...or pull up and throw...thats the whole point of the scheme...they start to cheat on the run cause you show it all the time...and bam....which makes me think part of last weks game is to set up Sask for this sunday...thinking all he is gonna do is run...i bet ya the first extended set of plays when he is in sunday that they will do exactly like the did to the Stamps and when the Riders crash down...and they will...we will be dumping it off or going over top....book it...

The smart QB when going up to the line usually locates the MLB..and depth of the db's immediately, they will then send motion and see who goes where, and what it causes the MLB to do if they are showing heat...and now when you have a lot of ENDS playing stand-up it's really hard to determine who is gonna drop off..especially if its blended coverage...thats also why you see the receivers always do that run to line and stop...then re-set...they are trying to get the defense to show their cards and move...

It could yeah, Biggie could drop off, but most times, especially in the quick hit shot the QB has eyes on the MLB and is very aware, and the role of the slot is to hit the soft spot inside the tackle and guard 3-5 yards off the LOS...This is why the show of heavy blitz with 7 or more guys and dropping off the end works well...the QB isn't even in the moment thinking of him, and rarely even sees him until the ball has left his hand...cause he shouldn't be there

With this new rule of only 2 qb's next year you could conceivably see a team re-asign a QB to a new position...A smart move would to designate him as a RB/FB and you could bring him in in wildcat as many times as you want with another QB on the field...in our double headed monster scheme you could use it as a sub package as well where you didn't have to specifically sub the guy in and out f...so you could run tempo flipping back and forth between them and not allowing the defense to make substitutions...imagine going no huddle with Harris..Strev and at moment Collaros all set up behind center and start all that misdirection stuff...is Strev gonna take it and run...or read option and pass...Will it go to Harris directly?...perhaps Collaros takes the snap...is it a pitch to Harris to the right?..swing pass to Strev to the left...or a run up the gut...is it a fake and Collaros goes downfield...be interesting to say the least The best would be a pitch back to Strev...who could stilll pass it..or run it...how would a defense cope?

Jam at the line..Have your HB or SAM jam in the 5 yard to mess up the timing or break up the pass...so playing tight man..or a mixed coverage. I could also see us show blitz and crowd the box to lull sask into the quick hitter and drop the ends out at snap right in the spot Sask has showed tendancy to hit...exactly the type of player in Jefferson we have to do that and get a pick six...much like he did to us and edm last year

no question there one bit...was soley on the defence...but I think that Nichols would have put more points up and a FG..even a TD wouldn't have won it as a walk off...but we will never know...been a weirdly frustrating season of highs and lows, but I think it bonded this team even more than they were and they are trending in right direction now and on a mission again...

I'd take em all casue I am QB1 and would have swagger and attitude and kick anyones arse put in front of me...truth be told...I never worried about opponents

yes...true...but i the LDC he may have generated more points as well...especially with Harris out as well...Thats a lot of veteran leadership that was missing in that game..in that environment
