I think for imports Evan's..Mincey..Levels or Rose gives us the best available option with minimal if any noticeable drop-off....Kanheh could fill a role too as a plan B but I like the first 4 if we are gonna target a guy...I honestly think we only need to go after one...we are also bringing back Boynton who showed well and another TC under his belt may do wonders and with Jones..Alexander..Maston and Taylor all coming back, and also possibly some progression from Hallet and Exume we are looking alright...so add one of the free-agents to that mix and we should be looking good... Technically right now we could roll with Jones and Alexander on the corners with Maston and Taylor at half back if we had to and be pretty effective...just gotta figure out where that Canadian is gonna start..Safety or D-line

I'd target one of Evan's.. Mincey or Jonathon Rose as an import...and if it fits Ackie for the safety...if only one or the other is in cards I'd go for an import

Tasker has played one full season...out of 7, though played in 17 games one other season..and doesn't have world beating numbers by any stretch...I see no need for him, or any way he would make us any better, he's basically a mid 70's catches a yr guy with 800 to 1000 yards and 6 or 7 TD's ...not worth the money he would want, and I think Adam's offers more

Part of the QB thing getting done quickly too was to re-up a couple guys they have been talking already before free-agency starts....I wouldn't be surprised if we hear this week or next an extension for Nevis and Adams....with no effect on Willie money, as Kyle said they have money set aside for him as it stands as they have a pretty good idea what they will need, so they know pretty much what they have to work with for re-upping and free-agency Honestly all i see us doing is targeting an established DB...be it an import, or guy who is National who can assume the safety role, possibly a high end Canadian D LINE guy who can start, one or the other as a "big ticket" and most likely a National guy for ST's and to fill in roster holes...

Much like Whitehead...Adam's wasn't used to his full capability under Lapo, or under the guise that lapo didn't think...or believe our QB's could toss the ball. When Collaros came in Adams looked like a totally different receiver...you could see it in his play too, as he knew he wasn't going to be relegated to just curls and outs...many a game last year you could see Admas in his routes have coverage beat, or in a spot to be thrown open for big yards, but our QB's didn't pull the trigger...was it lack of faith in themselves?..Lapo discouraging it..Or them panicking and not waiting and watching that extra second or two to let it develop? Fact of matter Zack saw him...and hit him...or made the attempt...same with a couple other receivers on longer routes..totally changed the dynamics of the offence

Adam's brings a lot...I'd hate to see him go and yea he brings an edge to the group and is a killer blocker Not sure if many of you noticed but he ditched the knee brace in game 17 I believe and from that point was pretty damn effective and dangerous..pretty sure he was playing less than 100 percent up till then and a bit tentative

Adam's has turned out to be a pretty decent pick up...

Obviously Walker be tops..then I'd go with Eugene Lewis..Rhymes and Daniels...Evan's as the last resort but not consistent enough for me plus he gonna be 29 already this year coming up

and apparently working with this offensive staff they encourage input from QB's and players for schemes..plays...and what they like/don't like and from all accounts Collaros is uber intelligent in regards to stuff, even from years ago, so having a QB in house who has a bit better skill set than Matt is no doubt gonna help the transition to Buck...I expect a pretty dynamic offense tihs year

Supplement companies regularly hide behind the "proprietary blend" labelling and don't have to disclose exactly what and how much of certain substances are in a product, as well the FDA is very lax on these companies with no regulations pretty much at all, unless something comes out in news/public/studies to be harmful, then they look into it...so you can never be to certain Also the list of "approved" supplements has it's designation where companies have paid to have it attached to their product, so they too can add things from time to time to "up" their products rep in the sports industry to boost sales...so to know exactly what you are putting in your body would effectively mean eat whole foods and avoid anything man made...and that will never happen...ever

He didn't need to light up the stats sheets...in every game he played..when opportunity was there for a deep shot..he took it and was generally succesful...and in the instances when we were backed up in a hole..he calmly got us out..with either a longer toss or some darn accurate mid level ones, he made no errors and leaned on our bread and butter...especially in the cold weather, which was that run game...he basically for 4 games played error free..smart and pretty surgical QB...

Fajardo is what 50k less..Masoli 40k...hardly a huge amount...Personally I dont agree on the size of the bonus, but if thats what they asked and weren't budging..so be it....or on the flip maybe nased on our surrent SMS..and i am sure have had talks with strev and willie on what they would want/if/when they returned I am sure Management was comfortable with that...I highly doubt they are gonna sign someone and screw themselves..there were other options out ther so not like he was the only choice

Not what he was getting at at all....It didn't cripple us as we were not in SMS crunch and had surplus left over to re-sign quite a few guys, and really a large upfront chunk is par for the course in the CFL for a pivot...so we all in the same boat, that being said we were in better position than other teams SMS wise as we didn't have several guys eating up gobs of the SMS... Further to that we only were on the hook for what...2 game day cheques at his prorated amount so basically peanuts...it would have been peanuts pretty much as well for who-ever was picked up. Will be a similar scenario again this year if it comes down to it..and if Zack goes down mid-season...end of season...first 3rd of season then his remainder whatever it is goes off the books and we work within what we have...that bonus...like with Matt's last year, and previous years is already accounted for and removed from in-season surplus, so the GM knows exactly what they will need to work with, and pretty sure Walter's and company have gone over all scenarios of the what if's since the season ended and they had to decide who they were going with AND if we need to roll with McGuire for an extended period in-season for some reason I am more than okay and confident with him for some reason from watching him all year, and knowing his history...he is more a true QB than Streveler and the speed of going through reads and comfort in the pocket is better, so behind our line, and the run game we have...he will manage just fine...he also has the best arm of all guys we have had in the system for last 4-5 years

behind Harris as well, and pretty much in same ball park as Fajardo..and most likely Arbuckle...2 of whom haven't really proven much. And for all we know Fajardo, and the way he plays could be a walking injury all the time too...no history on him yet, though we do know last year he had wonky obliques, and had a shoulder seperation the Rider's claim at some point...The guy that lost out on all this is Masoli for selling himself short

How do you know what their cap space is?...if you sign Strev to around 200k with playtime bonuses that easily fits into the SMS allotment

either way you slice it..Nichols or Collaros was gonna get 450 to 500k...in this case it is 490k...and if 200-225k isn't up front...which I highly doubt it is...this is a very good deal... And who cares about Masoli...he won't be ready for start of season, and is hardly an established guy...so of course he won't be getting on the north of 400k this year 3 teams are in excess of 600k....Winnipeg and Sask are hovering around 500k...Ottawa and T.O will also be too...if not more now seeing as the pool of potential legit starters just shrank...And if Nichols is truly not ready for TC...Arbuckle is gonna get paid Injry history aside I'd much rather pay a proven guy (Collaros) what we are than an unproven guy (Arbuckle/Fajardo) the same amount...especially whhen I bet Collaros will have a smaller upfront cap hit in regards to a bonus than either of those 2 will

Not sure if Farhan is accurate...but even so 490k isn't bad at all when you look at what other teams are paying..CGY/BC/Edm as well as what Fartado is getting in Sask...one season doesn't an all-start make... Minimal playtime bonuses but I bet you Collaros surrendered a big up front bonus that would go up against the cap, for more guaranteed cash total...so in case he does go down early for a while (guaranteed that was discussed) he won't have a big bonus up against our cap...either way he is gonna get paid, and the team is safely covered....to me thats a good deal
