he was huge for the receiver room right until he left, and what he brought (attitide/toughness and leadership)and showing guys how to play was really missed....Guys still here after he left were in constant communication with him...he was a true leader here...and came up big when it mattered too

yeah....no issue and problem with going with Clercius...you need to use the younger guys and let them grow, that being said it's usually smart to do so with a nice viable backup who is a veteran of some sorts and a guy you know you can plug in and run with...we forgot that part

In all honesty I dont really understand why they dumped Woli...he just turned 30 this yr and was probably performance wise one the more reliable guys we had game in and game out And not like he was an injury magnet...missed 4 games in 2022 and guy came back with a brace from that MCL injury and played just fine Last yr got ribs busted from suicide passes and getting the gritty yards, so why he was tossed away before his bonus...which wasnt much either was pretty short sighted considering the pickle we in with Canadian receiver depth ...receiver depth in general really.....and in this lame offence as well...A dependable guy who you can trust and your QB had great chenistry with as he always knew where to be for ZC....just dumb And he made peanuts too really when you look at his salary and what he gave you If he was available via trade thats one to definitely make

It's not that irrelevant when we have the wizardry to carry one backup and thats who comes in if a guy goes down...like we saw...or 2 Who would you rather see out there again as the backup..Woli or Corcoran?.....seems like a pretty easy choice and relevant one to me...His presence out there would garner attention and make some space for our other guys as well.. He wouldnt be brought back to be the guy....but augment what we had and offer proven vet experince...not like the dude is over the hill in Biggie/Thomas territory by any means His presence would give us a bette roster than with one of Cobb or Corky they didnt wanna pay him and figured Clercius was ready...which he is....but had zero depth behind him tho...poor foresight

Not to nitpick or challenge your post....but he had 8 yrs...fairly solid ones at that in terms of TE stats for a NFL tight Emd who wasn't an offence's key guy NFL fams with casual interest may check in to see whats up if they see he is doing something with league, but ;ike you said youngins and people who are just your average fan would have zero clue, but he does offer more on how he breaks some stuff down and what he contributes to the in-game analysis than that screechy Clair and Britt Dort who Rider fans think is some god....The girl in CGY is good tho and will get better CFL just needs to onboard themselves with the way leagues and companies now market themselves online with social media and fan interaction....thats where they slipping big time

NFL is also different than up here...IR guys also count against the cap...may not be their full salary as some don't necessarily get their actual full non guaranteed amount....but none the less it counts along with the PR guys, so teams need to really be aware of where the cap is being spent, so a guy they may view as a real long shot project...or one who may never evolve into a legit starter, they won't waste their time on...and money

Easy decision...Drop Artopoeus yeah....all guys go toward the cap...AR and PR....it's gotta be accounted for

yeah nothing about him screams successful long career....not sure the allure there to be honest for that pick,,,,havnt looked at draft results but I sure there was something more useful at that point in draft, tho in those rounds generally most are just a hope and dream pick and many never amount to spit

Woli would make the perfect replacement for Corcoran as the extra guy on the squad as well as take rotational reps, and was huge for iur run game, if he was available would be a smart aquisition....can play all the spots...ZC trusts and looks for him He doesn't need to be the #1 or a guy expected to be leaned on Chain mover....2nd down conversion guy (ZC totally leaned on him for that as he always knew where to go vs a defence)....play the dirty role in run game....and vet savvy...thats it....and really can be just for this yr too

You would think if Schoen all of a sudden becomes healthy and close to former self...(he wont be this yr)....Wilson finds his way back, and Moore and Echols are here and soaking it all up...and really a week of running with the one's would be more than enough to roster either...or both...they not league rookies after all, that we would cut loose Case and Mitchell, cause why carry them when you would have Demski, Clercius, Sterns, Wheatfall, Cobb, Echols, Moore , Corcorran and hopefully Wilson? You only really need 7 on game day, so 2 would be 1 gamed or PR's and we still have that other guy we signed, who I dont see a future in the CFL with....basically a big ol meh burger with a side of average

Both Moore and Echols have played in the league...know the standard route tree's all teams use....Know the opponent they be playing.....pretty aure if your coaching is elite you would have them ready and from what I know thats a indication I get

yeah you would think....If not for anything a few weeks here....or there That being said...Undrafted Canadian.....Canadian School.....he definitely behind the 8-Ball as dumb as that is...the NFL political narrative and how/who/what they value at times over actual talent and potential is baffling to say the least I hope he gets to stick somewhere for a bit of an extended time...learn...and grow a bit and hopefully next yr decides to come north more polished and readu for a TC here where he actually can compete and not be learning/adapting In all honesty down there he is not gonna amount to anything...let alone get a real shot to more than a PR guy...maybe get the odd game here or there as a 3rd string clip board carrier
