  1. yeah...wtf were those??....just sad
  2. i dunno......look at the injuries Buck has dealt with here...starting center...knicked up tackles.....ellingson out....demski missing games....woli out....as well as integrating a new RB....and we humming along just fine...so a good OC it appears gets the most, and production out of his players available....I guess an average one doesnt?? that cup wasnt a result of Lapo's offence....funny that Buck is that picture too, as he had a huge hand in things as well...and his offence now is night and day more explosive and prolific....if you wanna say the success was a result of the OC...Then Buck has slayed Lapo as he is 25-5 as the OC
  3. Khari...i say nope...as that was a drop back and chuck offense...stretching field...taking chances Durant...could care less about Rider drivel...but from what I recall wasnt that slop Lapo serves up now...was more a standard push it offence...and a QB who made stuff happen with legs...same with Buck's handfull of games where he was healthy...they pushed the ball....didnt play the style he promotes now. Matt Nicols as well started out here with a more vertical attack, and it morphed into the Lapo way...and Streveler was just fine his first season as a thrower, and a runner...he got nuetered when Lapo realized what a runner he was, and made him into this gimmick project, and it hampered his success as a passer, and he rarely was in schemes to be throw first...and teams seen it, as did everyone else...when he came in you knew exactly what was gonna happen. There was no way it was Lapo's brainwave that got Strev his NFL look....he got a look as he had 4 yrs now under his belt as a QB with success, as coming out of school he basically had barely 2 yrs as a QB....but if you look at his tape he was a passer with gaudy passing stats, and great running stats. if you take what Boomer says as an indication of anything...I dont know what to say....based on 1 play...thats just laughable Collaros was able to make things work within that Lapo system but if you break it down and look at it...he went off script, and looked downfield, and created plays...look at Harris recieving numbers when Collaros took over, as well as target location on the field....it all but dried up for Harris, as did the targets from 2-3 yards from line of scrimmage and behind....and the teams over all record since is reflective of the play not to lose Lapo scheme... He was decent to a point in the early stages of his career, but after he did his U.S tour of football clubs to "gather" ideas, he turned himself into a self generated smartly pants. trying to be the smartest dude in the room and the results from that point on forward were average at best....we won the cup here in 2019 despite his system...not because of it...
  4. Hahah....yeah no doubt eh?
  5. thing with Roberts...for a little dude who didnt train,,,,he carried the load injury free basically...and how many games did we watch him in the fourth quarter when everyone knew he was getting the ball just grind out first down after first down to kill out the clock...phenomenal what he did, in the tiny lil cheeseburger lovin smoking body...interesting fact tho...strength wise and if he did enter the weight room he was phenomenally strong...like almost in an unbelievable way...lil fella just was gifted...too bad he didnt stay on track here and get in 3 or more good years
  6. yeah....hard to say if Lawler would have got hurt here...likely not having to dive all over the field to make catches,,,but Stove did himself in training...and Harris was inevitable in my opion...so 2/3rds of a bullet dodged
  7. just makes ya wanna laugh hahaha.....to heck with the 31 to 13 thrashing....and being swept...and looking like garbage...what a joke
  8. yup...I had and have no issues with Roberts...cause every game he brought it....and on some bad bad teams too....and his grey cup no show he wasnt alone
  9. yup...said all along that Harris got jobbed, and the Faj got it cause he was the only QB to play 18 games....so got it by default basically as his accumulation of stats..that yes were nothing special just out produced every other QB.....but was far from the MOP...he was 3rd in passing yards...behind guys with less games...7th in tds thrown in league (4th in West) heck Nichols had more than him in only 9 games...wasnt even the rushing leader for QB's....Strev had more in way less reps...the fact he got the MOP was a joke....but a blessing as it snookered the Riders into going all in on him...haha....and been 2 yrs of awesomeness lol
  10. after his split with wife, and her and kids went back to the U. S he fell into a dark place....and was very depressed...I helped him out a few times prior to his trade away and was sad where he ended up....I will give him credit the dude cared...bled blue and gold, but he did lack the training part of it, but he didnt have to, and he knew it as it was that way with him all his life...too bad he didnt have a real mentor, or a coach who really pushed him in highschool and college....but soley based on accomplishments, and how he affected teams preparation to stop him...he was one of the best...and not just on the Bomber
  11. yup....too bad he didnt really....he did on the field....but not so much to prepare for it as for the no show....he wasnt alone....but for some reason he gets the brunt of that anger...there were quite a few who let the team down...some whom would surprise you but is never mentioned...and not a lot know
  12. wonder if he asked for it, since he was relegated to PR this yr...and they have a vet group there more or less and hoped to get an opp somewhere else...He's head and shoulders better than Holm and Parker as it stands now, plus has 2 yrs experience in league as well...so is less apt to be caught off guard with a different look from an offence...we have had good luck picking up cast offs later in yr...worked well with Taylor...
  13. Harriso tho wasnt a wasted space....just we never put him out there...so a waste in we coulda used the spot elsewhere...even in the one game where a receiver went down...he didnt get a singal rep...so what was the point of dressing him....I like him and his potential tho and hope he brought back next yr like Agudosi was be dumb if we weren't....
  14. Or likely A. Harris if he hadn't been screwed over by the media....Heck who knows what Nichols stats would have been over 18 games....better than the Faj's I am certain...
  15. yup...agreed....and in a few yrs he will be the second best...with the best also being up there, and a long tenured Bomber....7 of his 12 yrs have been here, and I truly think he has 1 more in him....and when he goes into the CFL Hall of Fame as the best there ever was, you can guarantee it will be in Bomber colors...we been blessed to have him here for 7 yrs now, and is super awesome he got rewarded with 2 Cups...so far....as he was loyal and hung in and was key to turning the room around...even when first few yrs were fugly
  16. last year he got the bulk of his production in one game...140 some yards I believe...and in the WF he got the bulk on that BS catch that wasnt a catch, and the TD only because the field conditions and Taylor skidded out...and BA had to take trepid steps trying to clean up the mess as to not wipe out as well....other than that...he didnt do much of anything other than bring a out of shape body, and cancerous character and a bad influence on the younger players there....and you see it still today as to how many act...as they are following the lead of their "leader'
  17. yeah...I would think a Winnipegger who had a stellar career..especially for a number of yrs here would be a recipient before a 2..3 yr American who had a good to great time here....it does have a lot of bearing
  18. theres a bit of give an take...late 80' and into 90's there was a ton of roided up monsters...so some of the line play would be on par...skilled position guys tho is easily swayed toward todays players...the big stars of the past would still succeed...but those second tier players would be dominated
  19. not in that offense....and not with Faj they wouldnt have....I can maybe see 2 guys in that group get 1000's...thats it...only so many balls to go aroiund....and to have 3 guys with 1000 takes an elite QB and just as elite guys catching it...of which they have nobody who is eleite...Evans and The Doucher maybe in 2019 were elite, but thats 4 yrs ago
  20. Demski's missed 4 games....and if didnt would likely have that 1000 already, or close to it...same could be said with Ellingson...if all 3 had been healthy all yr pretty sure it would be 3 1000 yard receiver's here Bailey started slow, but wasnt used much tho was clutch when he was....he being targeted more now, and is still clutch....we also have 3 receivers in the top 7 of TD receptions....how is that not elite type status?....and factor in these guys block the hell out of things for the run game and each other, not to mention run the ball too....and when one guy goes down....always someone steps up....they are good...deep...and team first guys...I wouldn't trade or group for any group in the league....we have an elite group here
  21. haha....what a hack article that was....a team that scores one offensive touchdown was never in the game....and they hardly could run the ball without an american back behind a now serviceable oline....or claims to be serviceable....The Faj sure didnt get sacked but was hounded all night....and that was with all the blatant holds.....too funny
  22. Thomas I am sure will get a spot in the Bomber Hall tho...tenure of 12 yrs...2 cups....that alone I think gets him in BA and Jeffcoat...will need to really pour it on for ROH status...but slam dunk Bomber HOF guys..Neuf as well...same with Yosh...I know u cant put all gyuys in from an era...but this era has had some special guys who turned this ship around....Sure wish Randal was able to get that extra yr here to be rewarded too...he was a key guy with big Stan to turn this around...and worked hard to make that culture shift when the first few yrs here under Osh were a bit sketchy....and he also noticed what was within BA and basically annointed him and groomed him as the future leader and helped shape who he is today....guy deserves a lot of credit for where we are today culture wise
  23. yup...Willy tho will have been here longer than anywhere in his career next yr...already is now with 3 yrs....and is one of the straws that stirs the drinks for the back to back seasons...Biggie is getting close...but the awards he won here, the cuos...and being one of the Culture leaders/instituters...gives him in my opinion a spot
  24. O'day has been a serious failure there....he is one of big reasons they have spiraled into the abyss Thats key there 100%...if u have idiots as your leaders...well you end up with a team infested with em
  25. spreading the word u lil ambassador u haha
