Ford was going to his brother's team...and out priced himself any way...so out of our hands there Biggie...was hurt...and not gonna be ready....if not hurt....he was gonna be here...if Osh continues to roster Thomas..kolo..Scmeck....Wilson...Scmeck....you know damn well Biggie would have been here BA...is maybe the only one we chose to move on from...did we low ball him tho like we did Jeffcoat?...quite possible...who knows 100 percent that was taken out of his hands....he wont be playing next week either...or week after I bet...9 months out...for an aged player...at his position?...nahhhh....and if he does try that soon....gonna really tarnish the last memories fans will have of him
-
if anything...learn from past losses....and why....and adjust/change things.......and not repeat it....continually.....easy concept most coaches grasp.....most
-
Wilson is by no means a liability and been one of our more steady guys....it's dependability....but I bet at a rotational role like Griffin...would help keep him clean from injury...and fresh

Osh won't play new hungry young talent....let alone give them a chance....even if they are clearly better....Thats the issue....I also think he values some things to a greater degree over actual talent/ability/upside...Which can be fine when you trying to re-set your foundation...our's is set and it's they way we do things now....as long as you have a few vets to continue to bring it along you are fine....save for a few outlander type players like that Marshall db who was in Sask...and a few others it's pretty easy to figure out the bad apples...and even then the room will get guys in line regardless...we need to recruit...sign and play the best talent...not just the "character" guys..... yup...even in 2022 a few spots could have been already transitioned and have the roster that much further ahead we brought in a lot of talent....but we kept a lot that shopuld have been dumped Our WR recruiting was abysmall....retreads and guys that offered not much...Hall seemed to be the best new guy...and would be a good backup/compliment to Wheatfall for what he would offer but we cut him and kept a guy from last yr who wasnt good enough...and still isnt...and will never be Imagine how or defence would look and be like with Ayers and Jonathon Jones....Griffin at Sam....Parker at corner...Allen at safety and have Woodbey as a DA...all working and gelling together, with talent...major athleticism...and hungry youth...with WJ and Vaughters being spelled by Person and Bailey.....with Lawson...Adams....Woods (when healthy) as your main set? Puts Vaughters/WJ....Ayers...Thomas...Korn...Kramdi...T.Jones main set to shame...I'd have Wilson as a rotation guy as ell.....and we can easily do that too....but we choose not to
-
Grant wasnt lost due to money.....we cheaped out and insulted Jeffcoat...and he had no desire to play anywhere else so retired We could have NOT re-upped KOLO and Thomas ...PaID Kramdi135k which is ridiculous for what he gives...That alone could have been savings for whatever vets we lost...who did we loose for 2024 that hurt us anyway.... We didnt need a Canadian SAM and could have filled it with Griffin ...Cole...any number of imports who would have been prob 50..55k cheaper... You do have to retain some yur own FA's sure....we kept the wrong ones but to really succeed you also can achieve that by a couple impact free agents too....there were a lot this winter out there...we choose to grab duds...guys off injury...guys who never were anything elsewhere and had minimal if any upside as they were "economical"
-
thing is...as rosey as that all sounds...and seems...Player's releagted to no play time...or minimal don't see it that way...or care less about it Being a players coach also means playing the best player....be that coach for the better player....not just the dead weight...sports is a cruel business and there is no loyalty at a certain point...Osh needs to know that and grow a pair....Worry about how he is viewed as opposed to being succesful is a slippery slope I'd rather view him...or any coach as a great player's coach, but one that made the tough decisions and was a hard ass when needed, and won 5 straight...or 4 outta 5 rather than a stubborn loyalist who lacked the balls and foresight to make the right calls and flopped on his face repeatedly due to totally preventable reasons....the yeah but crowd will chime in 5 stariaght cups "appearances".....but fail to recognize the 3 utter flops...To the likes of Fajardo..Arbuckle and the Looney/pervo combo....good god thats a legacy to be super proud of thats the thing...we spend up to cp sure...where it's allocated tho....poorly... yup....and this yr re-signing him without even seeing a good 6 to 8 games?...plain stupid....it's not like he had to be or he would agree elsewhere mid yr....and did he get some of 2026 money moved to this yr....hindering any possible intra season signing that could help us?...possibly
-
Spends money sure....but majority of it seems to be spent in wrong area's...and or too influenced by a bias'd HC....And his tactic of allowing so much money for this group....and that group is dumb....basically excludes you from actually improving in an area or at times having adequate depth that can play...and seems to be influencing their scouting as to who they bring in he was savvy...but the problem now is he got some nice pieces, and Osh thinks they just the best of the best and see's no need to replace or demote them...hence our depth in some areas really blows A team should be continually doing things...be it moves...bringing guys in...whatever to get better...deeper and we dont...When Osh breaks camp who we (he) decided on is it....unless a guy actually dies or has an injury so bad he cant play....and we seen a lot play that should never have...thats the problem
-
he gets a lot of greif....but he's the head ref who for most part is relaying the call from his other ref's....not necessarily his lame calls...for most part he is pretty good on flags he throws....and he cant say "nah...we not gonna call that" on flags his minions toss...
-
Grants only game was the last one wasnt it? yup....and part of that is who the coach chooses to employ in middle of your line...Our coach chooses dome real bottom barrel guys....so the importance of Line and coaching goes hand in hand here....
-
Part of that is nobody likely would have picked him up either...and we sign him first in offseason...like he a priority...we could have left him u signed right up to camp and then if it seemed like he was needed...bring him on...
-
Kinda how I see it too
-
Yeah I'd take Deqouy in a heartbeat...he would feast in our system on defence...Osh prob would rotate him with Hallett tho...or back seat him lol
-
Hamilton isn't as deep or good a team...tho this yr they may be That being said...2022..2023...2024...a healthy Bo with our group...I bet he did more than what ZC gave us in grey cup Even in ZC "good" game.this yr...there were still a fair amount of wtf passes he got lucky with...even Demski td...was a short duck that was all on demski...forced into pretty much triple coverage and if one of the dbs actually had any feild awareness that was a pick
-
That's how Osh rolls tho since forever...and why we always have this depth issue or lack of faith putting guys in..cause they get no reps all yr A horribly bad trait Chris Randle was another..and yeah we used to target guys...there were some that said no too...was it cause they didnt wanna see their reps reduced here? Who knows...but maybe Walters needs to change his ways and evolve too..and spend a little...and also shelve his idea of only so many dollars alloted to this group...that group....and target impact guys and then sort it out...its not hard Also...they have to take some of Osh's say away as it's apparent that he heavily influences some of the carrying of dead weight...and if he doesn't like it...kick stones and move on
-
Our free agency was garbage...and for whatever reason we didnt seem to wanna spend any money We grabbed reclamation projects for most part...and reupped guys we didnt need to...well not before FA started anyway if we still felt the need
-
I can't see any of that being said here to be honest I'd take Bo over ZC i think..Bo gets a lot of grief from play8ng on crap teams of late
-
Guaranteed
-
We tossed him away.... It was edm tho...lol....but a 600k QB should be looking more like that every game...then once in a blue moon..and generally against the weak sisters Pretty much...and for 85k we coukda signed him...brutal....Osh prob didn't like him for some reason...so buh bye
-
Garbutt and fox have been real good...and woukd look even better here But no worries we have Jake..and Korn..Scmeck chomping at the bit..experienced Ayers to help take load off...no sense in retaining upside guys who can play..and know the system Yeah...last night was a nice kick to the plums watching them go off...and then watching Sterns...Vaval...and revisiting last yrs return excellence here...at 85k too....super savvy player management They didnt agree on 2...biggie not here only cause he was injured and not gonna be ready....don't kid yourself And osh always has...and always will have his favs and bias towrd players...its happened his whole time here and not for the betterment of team..but .makes him feel all warm and fuzzy I also think he doesn't have the guts and ability to cut ties with players...a bad trait for sure We are vet laden...sending a.few to the unemployment line won't affect anything...and allows other voices to pick up the slack and become leaders from what they learned here
-
And both cases are piss poor coaching decisions...you make changes to better your team anytime...anyway...and before a slide....and our way of only due to injury has us in the mess we in...and the lack of trust in all these other "all number one" guys we apparently have...which is a huge load of ****
-
I'm sure he and Younger are not saying we want more jake....Gimme some Jake and Korn I wonder if they are "supplied" with the guys Osh wants and have to make it work....appears to be
-
negated by penalty hahaha
-
and who would blame them...and I can totally see it a few need to go...yup...others need to be in the back seat to fresh talent and become thatdepth...which would make us a way better tem all around...we have a lot of the pieces...we just using the wrong ones...or in wrong order...
-
or....you cant go home
-
pretty sure that if we dressed...and used legitimate inside players...Adams and Woods....or who ever and also incorporated another end...and played those said inside guys and rotational end all of Jakes reps....mening hit the PR or injured....would make a world of difference to Vaughters and WJ...Teams can easily neutralize them as it is, plus they bagged out throughout the game. They turned WJ loose in Grey Cup and we see what he can do....I'm almost certain they do not want him playing in a let loose fashion but more so to keep the qb in pocket and beat our secondary, thibking we have the dawgs in th middle to collapse and rush the passer...and we dont when we use certain sets You can see when its Lawson or Adams on the nose...or them together the pressure is breaking through and the results are night and day Then we go sets with Just Jake...Jake and Korn....and we get eaten alive...even when its Jake and Adams....Adams gets penetration still a lot of the time but .....even when double teamed, but Jake just gets stood up in place neutralized....pushed back...or spun around or to the side as the play goes by and just negates anything the other DT just did His sole skill is a straight push on some reps but rarely gets off his block, and when he does has nothing left to finish a play...or chase anyone down...let alone come back from behind l.o.s to make a tackle....how many times tho we see Adams...and Woods last yr do that tho....alot We either need to change or scheme a bit as we dont have....let me rephrase, choose not to use the guys up fron to make it work....or stick with the scheme and roster and PLAY the guys who can make it work...easily fixable if one puts his bias aside and further to that....works from a strength from inside out....strong center...strong/dominant nose and multi tech DT....You cooking with fire...we got the wort center in the league, and the worst "collective" group of interior dlineman in the lague bar none....Adams would start anywhere..as would Woods...thats why I said collective..Schmeck..Thomas...Korn...I have a hard time seeing any one of them cracking a roster...let alone getting reps they do here And then some wonder why our dline seems to get no push/pressure and at times our oline looks like rodeo barrels
