we just need a few minor tweaks...some were already in house, and we also have to recruit/draft and keep players to build a more useful roster, ratio and positional depth wise, and also make better use of who/what we put on the PR This goes with a change in coaching mindset to make what I mentioned in first comment work, and take advantage of any roster rules that are in place that will help us....do that...we should be right back where we were last night....don't...and I doubt we make it out of the West next yr

yup a chip or a 50 block then move to next level is his only asset....anything else he gets over powered or just doesn't have the combo of size and power to handle any stunts or speed rushes and move it away....was a weak spot all yr despite all this praise... -
whats he supposed to say,."that was a dumb move"...even tho it was...Schoen basically said without saying it..."thanks for putting me in even tho i was not healthy or prepared" yeah..Miller...thomas...Briggs....Briggs was already contemplating it for this yr...and u think anyone in "the room" would tell Hamilton...or any scribe that?....doubt it
-
not sure why u so hung up on retirements...the only ones I can see as a likely, amd that will be due to the team telling them they are going to move on is Miller..Briggs and Thomas....Bryant is a strong maybe, and bet he would have if we won....36 yr old Bryant is better than 90 percent of Left Tackles in the league...No way Hardrick...Neuf....and anyone else will be...and why would they? Bighill will be the tough one tho....He is a battler and warrior and may not feel he is done...and someone will pay him....that being said, he has a well established off-season...and in sesson gig, so he may entertain the idea of a role player at a greatly reduced price, and with also being Nationalized American eligible would be a good backup...teams guy, where less wear and tear occurs on him, and his experience be invaluable Other than that don't be expecting all these retirements coming
-
Clements or Cole do tho...Cole even likely a chance to pick it yup....too bad our coach is such a stubborn egomaniac he won't use that rue, or make the obvious changes/tough changes

Rose when he got back in lineup was more than fine....and didn't whiff on tackles over and over Brady's yards were not a result of Kolo...he's an undersized guy who was on the street for 2 yrs that nobody wanted...and was basically a emergency sign...Eli was a top 3 ranked centre in the NCAA and was likely to be a 4th..5th round pick in NFL draft And what newer guys?...we never replaced any, and let any potential talent walk in TC...or the ones we kept let sit on PR all yr and not play -
Well....I guess as a consolation prize we still West Division champs...so there is that, and I see no reason why we shouldn't be next yr if we play our cards right.

There was nothing wrong with the oline this yr really.....ZC was more an issue behind it than anything...why...thats the question...is he physically wearing down?...Is he not seeing things fast enough now and processing it how he used to?...Is he become too focused on the big play?......it's something, but it also came right out of nowhere That being said....Eli needs to be the centre next yr...he is better...plain and simple, and also signed thru 2025...he is the future and the now...Not Kolo.....Dobson needs to play but is at at the expense of Gray...Or Neuf?...Neuf arguably was our best guy all yr, and back to back all-star selections kind of validate that. I think we should see if Dobson can be that guard, and we keep Gray as the 6th/extra guy, as he can back up at all positions....as well as use him in that role Jackson had...He did it several games when we didnt dress Jackson, and thats his job and role as a player and what he has done his whole football career...move bodies and block, and he's more than athletic enough...he's prob our most consistent lineman downfield on runs next to Yosh...banging bodies and created havoc....plus he irritates the heck out of defensive guys....If we choose to keep rostering 7 oline guys...which I think can be a bit excessive then I'd like to see a young guy be developed.... D-line as well....nothing wrong with the Jeff's and neither is close to being aged out...just look around the league for last decade or so...an End can be very effective well into 30]s with...and this is key...proper and adequate rotation...But we also need a monster inside again to really make it work....and have adequate rotation there...like when we rolled Nevis and Stove with the Jeffs, and Hansen and Kongbo and Thomas when he was fairly effective....3 yrs ago...he should have been sent packing last yr already and no way in hell he should be back next yr -
or have any impact on winning it either, or have much use...thats where depth of roster or lack there of it from standing pat and keeping wrong guys killed us....

Offence was vanilla because we chose to dress 3 receivers who were less than 100 percent, and not use one on roster at all who could have made a difference..BOLO...and we didnt dress a back-up receiver just in case...either Ambles or Alston....why have them if u wont use them due to injury...so we basically shaved our playbook in half as to what we could do...maybe even a third -

I'd say Rose off..hurt us big...Biggie on...Hurt us big....No legit end to spell of the Jeff's...Hurt us big...Jackson in lieu of Fox...whiom we saw was very disruptive in 2 games and would have been major fresh....hurt us big....thats roster mamagenent -

I said I heard/figured Schoen would....worried me that Biggie may play...that being said.....If not 100 percent...with Schoen then why......In my experience if you cant do what you normally do at least to 90%....u sit....that wasnt the case...if they were 90% it would have been fine....they weren't -
along with Kolo...Briggs...Bennett..Sheehan...Scmeckle

Kinda did...a useless Biggie...No use of Hansen at all.....and then that led to less use of Cole Clements like when Bigie went out.... -

and If they were all apparently "Number 1's" as Osh boasted all year...well then we should have had no issue slotting the other guys in, instead of hamstringing our roster even further...In the bloody Grey Cup of all games...I just can't get over the stupidity of this, and the fact it went on in various forms all damn yr...and nobody dragged Osh on carpet and asked about it, and how the majority around these parts didnt see it, or didn't wanna believe it...cause we won Grey Cups...well they now 3 yrs in the rear view, and if things don't change with how he coaches...soon to be 4...6...10 -

those comments right there...says it all...Thanks Osh....good god -
BA would be the perfect DA who could slot in at safety..SAM...corner and still plays great teams. Holm should be our safety next yr as we don't need a big bopper there, and we focus on HB who are physical, and can play up and disrupt receivers as well as run with them and cover....we play to soft, and when it gets to crunch time more often than not it kills us as we get nickle and dimed down a feild.... We don't need a plethora of guys who excel playing off and seem like good guys at closing in on a pass to stop progress...we need more guys who are there to actually limit the receptions in the first place and the bolded is key...its what has occured 2 yrs running now...and hmmmmm0-2 in last 2 grey cups
-
we didnt lose due to one play....when it was 10 zip we should have went for the throat...and we didn't/couldn't and that was a huge red flag...and giving up feild position all game on teams, and running an offence with only really 2/3rds of the receiving group actually healthy to do mush was also a major fail...Why do you think our offence looked off...no pre-snap motion to set things up...or jet sweeps....receiver runs...Heavy inside passes?...cause our guys couldn't do it...and shouldn't have been out there. Schoen for most part took no attention away from the MTL defence, and they gave him some underneath stuff to the sidelines...big deal....But running BOLO down the rail, or in a deep or midrange skinny post...or fade would have....Dumping Agudosi too was dumb and gave no coverage...I bet him down the rail or deep down the middle would have drawn away a DB and safety.... Our roster killed us...The Jeffs basically played all game....no end in the league will be successful with that load....not happening....Houston was being exploited....no coverage there to pull him...Perfect opp was there to have Rose there, and he WOULD have made a difference....but no ..Biggie was in...did nothing...cost us a TD....and was off the field as much as on it....Roster decisions...use of talent...or lack there of killed us....and it wasnt in just this game...went on all yr, and yes we eeked out a few wins we were lucky to get in spite of it...so it all seemed rosey....and it wasn't what does that post even mean or imply??

this should be the bell going off that they cant run it back as is....But bringing back all the oline pieces and a few prospects and select the 7 most dominant, and yes I include Bryant and Hardrick...as they were hardly an issue....U bring back the Jeffs...Lawson...Fox..Hansen....but you bring in legit guys to challenge Haba..Garbutt and Walker and then you roster the best of those guys and make your roster accommodate that...no ifs and or buts about it and get back to how we dominated games....all game...Thomas...gone..Schmeckle...never should have even been here..Bennett gone...too old already for what seems like no upside...dude hasnt progressed...at all...You target Bennet and Kongbo from the Hammer to fill those Canadian spots Nothing next year should be handed or awarded, time to get some young hungry guys with energy...fresh and new to learn from the core we keep.....Biggie should not be back, as he won't be a force/factor for 2025.....Coach needs to make the Cal Murphy/Wally Bouno/Mathews type decision...Not the Dave Ritchie...I fell Cole is gonna be a stud, Clements really came on and is very versatile and young....both uber athletic and Wilson can be the vet now in that group, but we need real challengers in camp, and to keep 1 or two around, on PR and or as the DA's somewhere much like Cole and Clements were used We seem to be able to find db's quite easily....We bring back Holm..Nichols, Parker, BA. and Rose, and I would say Lawrence too....Houston needs to be on the bubble and really round out his game, so he needs to beat out some new talent, and we need to bring in some guys with physicality and ability to consistently play a man game with route disruption...and let em all battle like the year we brought in Alford and Nichols I like our receiver group as is, but I wanna see a true guy ...or 2 on the PR this year who can step in and actually be used...not stand around on sideline, or be ignored if he gets in....seen too much of that the past 2 yrs.... Our foot soldiers....I'd keep Hallett..Kelly...Exume...Karamoko....Gauthier...the rest can be easily replaced with a drafted kid who actually can contribute out side of teams....and with FA guys coming out of the entry level deals from other teams...there will be lots to chose from....And the Jackson thing needs to be eliminated...he is a raw 32 yr old import with zero upside on defence and teams, and his role on offence is laughable at best as the reason he was kept around And if we are going to stick with an Import kicker, he needs to do all 3 jobs and free up another roster spot.....A DA kicker and a Global punter is poor use.....have one or the other do em all, or do what it takes to bring in a Hallelujha.... It's not wholesale by any means...but it's a few succession positions, and some scheme and roster things that need to get done...no more this hokey BS spin from Osh... Now to QB....I kinda on the fence there. Is Brown the future...could be...I kinda was in doubt....but went back and watched some clips on him and more I look...more I like....I like the calmness...and he seems to be more assertive now than ZC and will take whats there more than force things.....and yeah ZC is gonna be 36 next year, 37 the following....Does anyone think he gonna be the guy for 2025...I cant see it...Tough decision time...Maybe have those talks with him now...see if he wants to end his career back in the Hammer....close to home....where he started....u never know, package him up for Bennett and or Kongbo now, and maybe a pick or two and give us the ability to negotiate before FA....and then we sign the Strev and Brown....base salary at half of what ZC was to get...but incentive built for starts, and bonuses...make em earn it....That would be a real good 1A/1B tandem...would eliminate the need for Prukopp and his higher salary than what a fresh faced rookie to develop would cost us ZC since last yr has seemed a bit off, and not the wizard he was....is it age?...self doubt?...injury issues....fear of injury in his head?...dunno but something has changed there....He had a great 4 yrs here..will be honored for sure....but lots of guys in history had great runs, but u gotta move on... that was my one fear...I knew Schoen was close...and very possible, but would be more limited....and it would basically hand cuff our roster more than it has been all yr....and well....it happened...MOS has been hand cuffing us all yr for no other reason than his personal bias...and was not for the better of the team. Same with refusing to use the Nationalized rule...all damn yr...which would only have helped us in some situations this yr -
thats how football works tho...HC is the HNIC and makes the final call on roster and who u get to work with....He will take input, but he will roster whom he likes ....thats just the way it goes....and the players have no clue of the coaches decisons and how/why...thats not their place or role other than maybe a few real tenured vets All teams are like this....a co-ordinator may not like it...but thats part and parcel of what they signed up for
-
did BOLO even see a snap today?...wouldnt shock me if he packed his bags and headed east
-
u dont understand pro ball....the coach is the guy who sets the roster, and decides who the co-ords get to work with...they will have input but HC makes the roster decisions...and my take on it is Osh is very stubborn...plays favorites, and is also I believe behind the closed doors a bit of a control freak....

we went from best depth..2019 to 2021....to top couple teams in 2022...to possibly one of the poorer over all depth
