The way things are with this team I'll be surprised if we can get anyone that's had a record of being effective and competent. and as much as people hate Jones in Edmonton, and Austin, cause they're arrogant and the rest of it, seems like that might be a good quality for a head coach. look at their teams. Edmonton O line is nothing to write home about, so they say. seems to be getting the job done with the backup QB. #pissedoff

Considering we have a "Riders start sucking" topic that's past 40 pages and a few Bomber fans (I'd guess) not exactly acting sad when Durant went down in game 1, we probably deserve a little shade. wait. imagine if they beat us with their 3d string quarterback, who rightly or wrongly was derided here.

See if the Chipmans are interested in owning the team. They wouldn't put up with this kind of thing. They have shown they know how to operate a major sports franchise. They'd have it turned around pretty quick.

How long has it been since we had a franchise quarterback? how hard is it to get one? How important is Willy to the team? I blame O'Shea for letting his franchise quarterback get the sh** pounded out of him two years in a row, and doing nothing effective about it. He's the head coach. That means he's responsible for everything that happens on on the field. No excuses. If he can't do whatever is necessary to protect the franchise quarterback from being put out of the game, whatever that takes, including firing somebody… Then he shouldn't be a head coach.

To be honest, I feel bad for him more than anything. He's been saddled with a lot of bullshit that he doesn't deserve. The fans may deserve better, but so does our franchise player. same here Mike. I feel really sorry for Drew. He busted his butt, sacrificed his health for the team and the fans. Top quarterback in the league. one of them for sure. The rest of his teammates and his coaches have completely let him (and us) down. I really like and admire Drew Willy, and win or lose, this inevitable injury to him, has kind of ruined the season for me. 1. The pounding he took last year 2. The completely failed attempt to do better this year 3. The pounding he's taken this year, head shots, leg injuries, his gutting it out and lifting the team to wins. 4. The rest of the offence, and all of the coaches just let him down and failed to help him at all. He was on his own. anyone who couldn't see this coming is just plain stupid. total disgust with the team right now. negative…. yup. and the positive thinkers can lump it.

don't want to read to much into it, but when he said after the game he didn't know who the starting qb would be if willie couldn't play… I thought that was a big deal. O'Shea has never been that blunt that I can recall. could mean a number of things.

well that would be something, if we can't beat them. riders i mean. for what it's worth I think they are a lot better than their record.

do they ever keep a back in to help with blocking? if not why not? I don't understand why Edmonton and Calgary can have two, three starters go down, and still have a decent o line, and we have our starters, and its not very good. Or why Ottawa has a better O line than we do. are their backups better than our starters? Worst part of this, is that everyone, fans, and the team agreed that the main thing that needed to be fixed was the O line.
