wow. Because other reports have been "some talks". I guess it depends on your definition. But that would seem to be the timeline for the Jets deciding to switch gears from Ladd to Buff.

Shane is remembered in two ways really. His stuff with Kurt Angle, Test and Shawn Michaels was pretty great (especially Angle). His stuff with Randy Orton was horrible. Shane wasnt a great worker per se, but he was very athletic and smart to the business. He was very good at bumping and really, his incredible natural athleticism carried him. He was fearless. I remember after my first match, which was a Fans Bring The Weapons match where we didnt do very much - the match was designed around three big spots. And much to my shock, we got rave reviews. A local veteran emailed me and said I had a "Shane" thing going on where I could do something once a year and it would be big. In other words, a smart match with key stunts and someone willing to take risks who was surprisingly athletic (surprisingly because no one would have suspect I was remotely athletic lol). But doing it all the time would expose me as not a real "worker". I still think there might be a chapter to this story that sees Shane sub someone in for the match. John Cena is teasing heavily about returning WAY too early. He WAS scheduled to work Undertaker. Shane *could* be Plan B whereby if Cena is ready (miraculously) thats the match but if Cena isnt, they have a good "story" for Shane. On the other hand, they've asked Shane to come back before and he always declines, not even appearing for WrestleMania 30. So something brought him back. HIAC makes way more sense for Shane than a regular match. Because it can be a brawl. It can be smoke & mirrors. It can the Mean Street Posse beating up Undertaker. It can be blood and chairs and climbing the cell and going through tables and falling off things. Thats right up Shane's ally. This is a guy who wanted to fall higher and farther every match. I actually worry about him. Vince would never allow any worker to take a risk anymore. But Shane? Maybe...Maybe he leaps off the cage. The problem is..what's the finish? Shane loses and is done? Weird angle to come back for. Is it because they are desperate and Shane is just doing his dad a huge favour? Maybe. Is Undertaker going to lose to Shane? Hard to imagine that. Why would undertaker want the match (in storyline)? There is clearly more chapters to come. Perhaps Vince orders Undertaker to win or he's retired. Then you've got retirement vs control at stake but how do you root against the Undertaker? Regardless, this is the most intriguing angle WWE has orchestrated in a long long time. Good for them. Combined with the fact that Triple H, in an emergency replacement, is WWE champion and getting cheered against the guy that is supposed to be the next John Cena, makes this a very interesting WrestleMania. I expect RAW to be very very good from now until then. -
Thompson Dorfman Sweatman LLP plans to move from Portage and Main into True North Square, the $400-million mixed-use project planned for the south side of Graham Avenue. The 129-year-old law firm, one of Winnipeg’s largest, is slated to become an anchor tenant in a three-building complex True North Developments plans for a pair of vacant lots on either side of Carlton Street. Later this week, True North is expected to unveil more details of its plan, which includes the construction of a 19-storey office-and-retail tower on a former Manitoba Public Insurance-owned surface-parking lot at 225 Carlton St., a 28-storey hotel-and-residential tower on the same parcel of land and a nine-storey office building at the former Carlton Inn site to the west, at 220 Carlton St. All three structures are expected to be connected by skywalks, creating another weather-protected link between cityplace and RBC Convention Centre. Last week, Sutton Place was identified as the hotel brand that will occupy 21 floors of the hotel-residential tower and fulfil the RBC Convention Centre’s need for more nearby rooms. True North spokesman Scott Brown said he would not comment on the Thompson Dorfman Sweatman tenancy, though for weeks, sources have identified “one of the city’s largest law firms” an an anchor tenant in True North Square’s office tower.

Well it sounds like there is another shoe to drop. They didnt do a very good job of explaining it. Shane seemed a bit nervous and it got awkward for a moment like everyone forgot their lines. But they alluded to Vince having made a big mistake that allowed for Shane to make a deal to leave but not lose his spot (ie. the heir apparent). But then he had to make a deal with Vince to come back...so its a bit confusing. If Shane has something to hold over Vince's head, why would he put it all on the line? Some times we have to accept leaps in logic but there are a few missing pieces here. And knowing WWE history...I had a terrible thought. HITC - Steph (and Hunter) help Shane beat Undertaker and its all a ruse to get the old man out of power. Shane and Steph in on it from the beginning. Ugh. -

It's more the quality of the opponent but Hunter isn't trying at all. He's clearly playing to the crowd and acting like a bad ass which is what a face does. He was heeled on two years ago against Bryan. But I don't recall him trying this hard not to get heeled on. He insulted and ridiculed bryan a lot. Not that thats the best way either but he played into the fans sense that bryan was screwed by the company. The bigger issue is Roman. Someone said in the video package they changed roman's boo's to cheers. That desperation if true. Ambrose is a natural face. He gets cheered against Brock who is even more a bad ass than Hunter. -

It's all very sad but I must be missing something. He owes $10m. He has a $30m contrAct. Can he not leverage that to get $10m in cash, pay off his debt and live happily ever after? -

That was a monster Pop though. Biggest reaction is ages. Way bigger and more organically emotional than rocks last return. -

Well spiked alert but I'm shocked. Although I've been pitching Shane's return for months and no one will listen -
I don't believe ladd will entertain an offer to come back here if he's traded. I think there's a certain amount of uncomfortableness that comes with that when you're a top guy and captain. And even if he would he will get bigger offers elsewhere which the jets won't match if ladd graciously took a trade and then resigned here for a reasonable deal then I would like a trophy in his honor erected at P&M.

Isn't the risk in the current system where all non playoff teams have a shot at #1 crating more likelihood of tanking? What if you're a bubble team with a chance to sneak into the playoffs where chances are you're going to get killed or get a lottery ticket for first over all? What incentive is tjere to try and sneak in? Besides money that comes with hosting two games? has the new format stopped TO from making trades that are helping them lose? -
Schmaltz looks good. A bit small right now. 19 years old. How much bigger will he get? 6'0 178lns Wisconsin kid.

Forgot about Poolman. Wonder what his ceiling is.

Taynted - just opened beside Mongos on Kenaston in the old Los Chicos building. They really gutted the place though. It's compeltely different. Move only been once so I can't speak to multiple menu items. Had steak bites which were "ok" to tide me over. The ones at Chop are better and bigger pieces of meat. Had the John Candy burger. Really enjoyed the taste. Tasted like a really good BBQ, very juicy. I made quite the mess. i was with a buddy to chat so the environment was a bit buzzy for us but for sure going to watch a game or going with friends for fun would be a great experience. It was very busy. Packed. They take your name for waiting for a table and text you when it's ready. Lots of staff on too. However they had lots of nhl jerseys hanging but not a single Jets item. I didn't go hunting so maybe I missed the jets wall but I did remark to buddy "hmmm no jets stuff".
-
That makes sense. Im not a beer person. They rattled off their specials and on tops and I said "Michelob Ultra, bottle". But I really did enjoy their burger. And my buddy liked his sandwich (cant remember what it was). I enjoy OJ's too though the food is sort of that "tastes great, regret it later" sort of fare.

If Myers was paid more cash for sure he'd be more likely to be traded. It's not a moot consideration. Neither is his talent and skill set. And if you put Myers on the trade block today, you'd have 29 teams calling.
-
The NHL didnt yank the Jets out of Winnipeg just to fill a spot somewhere else. if the Jets were a successful franchise with an arena and ownership, then I'd agree. But they werent. No one wanted to own the Jets. A better comparison is the Jets to the Thrashers. The Jets had fans but no owner or arena. The Thrashers had an arena but no fans or owners. You need three (or close to it) to succeed in the NHL. Bettman has been consistent on this and, emotions aside, he's correct. The fact is, to build an arena in Winnipeg required at least two seasons of heavy losses and no one wanted to own the team under those conditions. It was sell/relocate or fold.

The benefit to this is, the Hamonic and Myers contracts are tremendous value. And Morrissey/Bowey are ELC. So Buff has a big contract and you can give Trouba a good contract and you're not over paying. In fact, that line up might be the best value in the league for the next 5 years. if you can get a D prospect in a trade for Toby (and Ladd) then you're laughing.
-
Trouba - Buff Enstrom-Hamonic Morrissey-Bowey And thats IF you trade Myers which Im not in favour of doing.
