Definitely. Violence is way more acceptable than sex. I've seen some movies that have pretty light sex but might contain nudity and kids are banned. I always wonder, do 14-17 year olds not know what a naked human looks like?
-
Still dont get it. If the option is for both a PG-13 and R rated film, what difference does it make? Its not like they're talking about only releasing an R Rated version...
-
Im intrigued by Axel. Wasnt he signed as a free agent and basically was considered a wild card? But his size and youth was interesting. Would be great if he developed into something.

Yeah there will be loads of posturing. We're not used to this here and being in the eye of it. Andrew Little is the tippy top rental player this year so there will be tons of rumors, wild speculation and red herrings. GM 's will be calling bluffs, throwing up obstacles and trying to swing the best deal they can. Ultimately, Chevy is in the driver's seat. The opportunity for a rival is that they know Chevy loses big time if he doesnt trade Ladd. So someone is getting Ladd...you want to force Chevy as close to the deadline as possible and make him nervous about consummating things. Thats about the only leverage a rival has.
-
Absolutely awful news. Bryan Little is a very good player. Feel very bad for him. What's the recovery scenario for this injury?? A broken friggen back. This is exactly why there are rules that oblige players to avoid hits to the head even in instances when the player is hunched over or falling.

Well if the Isles said something like we'd offer our first and this prospect OR you throw in this and we'll give you Hamonic later and maybe we exchange picks...I'd listen. The caveat could be a Jets option to choose Hamonic or an alternative if they choose which protects them from injury. But realistically, it would have to be a devastating injury to still not be worth it. And that's generally unlikely. Doesnt seem to be many Future Consideration trades anymore. The closest we get is an either/or draft pick based on resigning or playoff success.
-
Certainly they wouldnt right now. But what if Hamonic was a part of the deal as a future consideration? Ie. They get Ladd now, we get Hamonic in the summer? Other pieces involved to be sure. But in sort of a Buffalo scenario, we dont need any "help" right now...

Game 60 : Alive @ Stars

This is my favorite one so far. -
I agree. I think part of the competition for rentals is what other guys are doing. if a team in their division improves on Monday morning, those two teams will both be calling Chevy. Andrew ladd is good enough to make the difference for a team in the Playoffs. The islanders interest me though because I would think talks might include to a degree, Hamonic. Probably not right now as they'd want him for the playoffs, but some sort of future consideration. Someone else made the point that Chevy might target an return that gets him something later. For example, if the Jets want Drouin, and Tampa has a specific need Chevy could get that from someone else for Ladd and use it to get Drouin. Or Hamonic.
-
Maybe if there are other Ladd-quality players. If Chevy goes back to the three best offers on Monday, no one is going to say "no, jerk, you should have taken this on Wednesday." UNLESS they went in a different direction. But there really isnt a Ladd type player available so if half a dozen teams have serious interest, Chevy will get good offers on Monday.

They know the trade deadline is monday, right? Not today?

What does kids have to do with an R rating. The point of an R rating is that kids wont watch it. Ofcourse some will, but that's their parent's problem, not mine. If the arguing is we shouldnt have any R rated (or worse) films because a kid might see it, we're into the realm of censorship and craziness.

Sure, why not. Whatever. WWE Network and Wrestlemania

What do you mean proves your point? And what do you proof along the lines of Saxton/Reigns? Also, I didnt resort to anthing. I told you both sides of the speculation. I mean sure, Brock could have deliberately smashed his face against a steal post instead of the far easier and more effective and less dangerous blade job, But I dont think he did. I certainly dont see his head striking the post as easuily as I see him dragging his head along his glove... -

The one pic I saw looked fake. Doctors don't tear off toilet post and shove it up your nose after nasal surgery. And nothing touched his face during that segment. -

Here's the video. Head doesn't touch post. And he drags his head across his glove in an unnatural way. -

Well I never said it was obvious. But there are many who believe it and I happen to be one of them in one instance his head doesn't even touch the post. He puts his hand up to block which is what you're supposed to do. His head gently presses on his glove. And he comes up gushing. So while I can't see a blade sticking in his head, for me it's logical that's what happened. Bexajse gently pressing your head against a glove doesn't using cause a deep cut the only odd part is one of the cuts was a pretty wide gash. Blade is usually very clean cut. The benefit to using a blade is it heals nicely with no apparent scar (unless you cut the same spot over and over like Dusty Rhodes). But in his haste Brock might have just cut deep and wide. He basically draws his flrward down across his glove -
I agree it's meant for kids and adults. That's why kids can watch the reguakr release and adults can watch the R rated one of they choose. as an adult I can decide. I don't need someone to decide I don't need to see it

I think NHL pension is $45,000.

Although now some are saying that as per his retirement agreement, all teams have to okay his return. I'd also assume he has to pass through re-entry waivers. Which would give Toronto the best shot but why bother? I always liked him though...
-
Okay, this is an Eklund rumor but seems far too specific to be completely made up. Been chasing a slew of rumors, but I was just told by a very reliable source that Ilya Kovalchuk may be leaving Russia and signing with an NHL team before Monday's trade deadline which would make him eligible for the post season... The source contacted me just as news broke in Russia that Kovalchuk will NOT play Games 3 or 4 in his playoff series versus Lokomotiv SKA and has been stripped of his Captaincy. The two teams Kovalchuk would most likely be signing with are NJ and Toronto from all indications.

lol! Did he think he might develop a taste for it if he saw it? My thought process is this, the more dink they show the better because it probably means we're getting some SERIOUS female nudity.

Yes I believe R is "Minors must be accompanied by a parent". And I noticed theatres check ID a lot more than they used to. NC17 - no dice unless you're over 17 (ie. 18). Not jporn though. Porn would be Triple X. NC17 was created because previously it would be X. But that was the kiss of death because people saw "X" and assumed it was "Triple X". A Clockwork Orange was originally rated X but now it's R (modern sensibilities I guess). Unrated is NC17 Bad Lieutenant is NC17 also. Blue Is The Warmest Color is NC17 (movie has a pretty hot extended explicit sex scene between two girls, one of whom was in the last James Bond film if I recall). Blue Valentine was rated NC17 for oral sex on a woman but was appealed to an R rating. Definitely didnt deserve NC17. Body of Evidence was also NC17. I assume for the oral sex scene. Hmmm...seeing a trend. The Dreamers is NC17. I can see it. Although I think its because of male nudity which isnt a huge issue in my opinion but the rating board is generally prudish. Violence is ok but sex isnt.
