Practice notes from August 28
Pierce being hurt is a blessing. This team is an utter mess, and with all the new players, the QBs who get the practice time are the ones that need to play. It's a sad state of affairs but with Goltz and Boltus the only guys out there with several new players and presumably some new schemes from MB you have to roll with what you have. Hopefully Hall gets out there soon. At one point the QBs had to practice zone-read handoffs. Now I haven't been to camp for a while so perhaps they do it everyday (likely) but it also struck me as something that indicates how far we have to go. DeAngelis and McKnight kicked field goals after practice. Both were solid from inside and at 40, a little shakier outside the 40. DeAngelis dropped one about 10 yards short at one point and then McKnight followed that up by putting one maybe five yards short. For the most part they were a lot stronger than those two kicks indicated.

Hi Capt, who's on WIL spot ? Right now we have McGee and whoever is 36 mirroring Muamba 36 is Sheffield Did you caught this? Stayed right to the end but I don't remember if I saw Creehan yell specifically. Plemons and the DL was in front of me for a bit and he was really vocal.

Ya he and Kelly were both there. Kelly is 19 and MSW is 17. Kelly is exactly the guy we all remember from his time in Hamilton. He's big, not extremely fast but he caught the ball when thrown to. MSW was smooth out there, very fluid. Neither got much time with the 1s.

Watching live here... Goltz taking all first team reps since we only have the two QBs dressed. He looks okay. Hopefully they go with him.

Palardy and Isaac Anderson released
Man this kicker situation moved quick. I always thought Burke liked Anderson a lot, maybe that changed after he sucked in his game time.

Brody McKnight
It seems Tim Burke really didn't like Palardy - and it seems likely that Mack continued to force that roster move. Two kickers in a matter of weeks already.

Burke: Happy with Buck's play on Saturday
This is such flimsy reasoning. Weak. You can see with your OWN EYES that Buck isn't playing well. Do you also believe everything politicians tell you? Or that lawyers are always telling the truth? I sure hope so, because unless you can show me your law degree or that you're secretly Stephen Harper we should all just close and eyes and accept what they say as gospel. its a double edged sword.tho.. why do you assume hes lying? Because he's given me plenty of evidence suggesting I should question his decisions. i also saw hall and goltz not fair much better.. i assume you did too.. "Not fair much better" = better. you nor i know EXACTLY what plays were called and/audibles...we also don't know if the o-line executed properly, if the receivers ran the right routes or if the rb blocked the right gap.. So? I don't need to know the exact plays to know that Pierce can't read a blitz and makes terrible decisions on the field. so without knowing even half of this info, isn't it safe to assume your simply guessing or going by your own opinion? id take a coaches take on it over your or my own opinion any day... why? guess im just a dumb ole follower (even though I'm probably on par with you or close to it football knowledge wise and after watching the same game) For the sake of not personally attacking you I won't reply to this.

Mike Sims-Walker
Wonder how healthy he is. Couldn't stay healthy at all as he bounced around the NFL.

Boltus and two receivers
He's a journeyman. Most journeymen don't amount to much, I'm afraid. First you criticize Mack for quite literally everything related to this team - and then you go and criticize the approach that you've clamoured for.

Burke: Happy with Buck's play on Saturday
i thought all qbs looked equally crappy... i also dont have a score card or video footage to reference like the coaches do so i too tend to listen to what the coaches say over forum denizens/media.. i dont think the o-line played well.. at all.. and from what i understand, edwards was the only consistent reciever.. *shrug* i still think coaches and coordinators are the.best judges of whos doing their jobs and i cant see why they would willingly lie about players performances... especially when hes been brutally honest in the past... This is called an "authority bias" - people want to trust the people in power, even when there is evidence to suggest otherwise.

Maybe he thinks that if he says it enough it'll come true.

Burke: Happy with Buck's play on Saturday
Just fire Tim Burke. He honestly has no idea what he's doing.

Listening to Troy Westwood is the equivalent to reading Paul Friesen.
- Who is the New Bomber QB?

Firing of the week ...

Buck Hurt Again
Hahahahaha you never disappoint.

Buck Hurt Again
When is Brown not ready to fire anyone? That's kind of his thing...

Buck Hurt Again
I'd be okay with Brink here. If we had decent coaching to use his athleticism he could be at least an adequate placeholder. Not a big Porter fan but I will support anyone but Buck.

Bellefeuille: Burke decides QB on Saturday
This is what ticks me off the most about people that just blindly hate Mack. They criticize him for things he doesn't deserve criticism for. The man built a currently 1-6 team, and one that has sucked for two years now. There is plenty of legitimate things to criticize Mack for. That does not mean every move (or non-move) he made was wrong. Fans at this point just love to revise history here and blame literally everything on him now. I could not stop facepalming through half this thread.

Bob Irving: Max Hall To Start
HOLY. ****. This is the right move, but you will have to excuse my shock. I'm not used to the team making logical decisions..

Bellefeuille: Burke decides QB on Saturday
Right there with ya. I can't wait for them both to get far, far away from this team.
