  1. Dequoy should absolutely see a nice pay day compared to his counterparts. That's a guy I'd love to see in Blue and Gold.
  2. It doesn't fit the narrative that Mills is the best back in the league. I won't bring up the fact that BO had a better YPC average either, cause he won't care about that stat.
  3. lol that's an absolutely brain dead take. Right up there with Nye's take on Brady being named the MOP..."he only scored 4 tds!" So sure, go ahead and only use the stats that back up your narrative, whatever makes you feel better i guess.
  4. Not yet, and I suppose by the time the season starts he may not be the highest paid
  5. All fair points. My counter is, none have been the highest paid player for their position (outside of Willie, when he was in his prime and would absolutely ruin games). When Bighill was the highest paid LB, everyone knew why. When Lawler was the Highest paid WR, everyone knew why. It'd would be disingenuous for anyone to say Kramdi should be the highest paid SAM.
  6. This is the discussion I've had with friends about him. In the position he's played for most of his career....he should be making noticeable high impact plays pretty often. At least if as a team we're paying him top money for that position. Kramdi doesn't do that. It's not that he isn't good. For me, it's that I want a Monster at SAM, especially if they're being paid like one. And Kramdi just doesn't have that next level factor. He's had 1 interception for his entire career. 1.
  7. Except that he wasn't. Brady finished with over 100 yards more on 82 less touches. This includes rushing and rec. The only metric that has Mills being better is TDs, but that doesn't really incorporate how the Bombers operate inside the 5.
  8. I honestly can't think of one. I can remember guys making impactful plays essentially across the board from Holm to T Jones, hell even Jake blew up a run last year. Can you describe a play that Kramdi made?
  9. Does he though? Not trying to be sarcastic, but what's the last play you remember him making? Im not sure those stats are on the side of your argument. It has been difficult watching more wins than losses.
  10. THIS!! I've never seen so much discussion about a positional coach period...never mind the griping. We've never once discussed the good or bad of a positional coach...not more than a couple random posts anyway. Thomas isn't going to ruin the Dline just like he isn't going to turn them into some force of nature.
  11. Who was Milts WR coach? For people who really have a hard time understanding how important position coaches experience is...who was Milts WR coach and how did he get Milt to do all the things he did? Who was Charlies RB coach? He must have been able to cut like him right? It goes on and on. This idea (that I'm pretty sure only Tracker holds on to) that if a player couldn't do something, that automatically = he can't teach it, is just incorrect. It's been proven as much at all levels of the game. How many times did Dinwiddie throw for 4000 yards in a season?
  12. Yeah I get not wanting teams to pay rookies a crazy amount before they've done anything....but i think a system where each team can allocate up to$200k for a rookie would be a good start.
  13. lol it doesn't matter what I or GCN20 think. It only matters what Sankey thinks. And I guarantee he thinks he's a Starting MLB not a depth piece.
  14. Yes starting MLBs are just running over themselves to join the Bombers as "depth".
  15. This is the feeling I'm getting too with this move. Like "Hey you stepped up when we were in a tight spot, it didn't work out but we don't want to cast you aside because of it"
  16. There's got to be more to the story of how last year work out in regard to hiring the OC.
  17. it's probably pretty common honestly.
  18. We don't pay anyone, which is why we are over the cap. Being over the cap is also why we can't afford any FA even though we wouldn't sign them anyways. This forum has gone bananas!! Up is left, down is wrong, wrong is purple and the only thing left to do is complain about absolutely everything!!!
  19. dinwiddie I'm blown away by the uproar over a couple positional coaches lol. Here's a hint guys...they don't really have that big of an impact on players abilities. Scheme and drills baby. Thomas isn't going to turn Lawson into the next Doug Brown and he isn't going to help re-invent Jefferson...but here's the thing...no one is. Hogan isn't the reason BO is a freak of nature and he won't hold him back either. ****** relax boys
  20. I think it was something along the lines of no one would be able to work as hard as he would want them to lol. So he just never bothered
  21. Until I know what the salary cap is, I don't know how anyone can say we're overpaying this guy or that guy. We don't know.
  22. How dare you!!!! ....but Stegall the old saying...those who can, do. Those who can't, coach.
  23. The GOAT has previously said he would make a horrible coach. It's often the players who couldn't that become the best coaches.
  24. Hogan was the RB coach for the past 3 seasons. And Jake no doubt has extensive knowledge about DL play.
  25. Jake Thomas is back!!! as the DL coach
