It was discussed and at that time I think most people assumed that he would of been the back up for this past season and that he restructured for 2017 so that he can milk out an extra year of a pay cheque. Unfortunately since he won the cup I can't imagine his ego accepting the fact that he will make half as much as Harris and most likely sitting on a bench. I think he gets shipped to Riderville ....

I remember watching Omega at the U of W ... must of been near 10 years ago. I think he was in a match with Dan Severn in a "shoot" which was dismal... however his other matches with the masked wrestler (name escapes me) were fantastic back then. The guy definitely was on another level compared to the local talent. I do find local vets giving advice to be hilarious as many of the ones that I saw were absolutely terrible in the ring and looked like complete garbage (fat bloated and in terrible shape).

So it appears Evander Kane is leading Buffalo.... in penalty minutes. Perhaps we can get a few power plays by squirting water on his jersey?

In fairness it makes for a real cheap excursion when you vacation out in Florida. My parents went to a Panthers game (against Montreal) the other year... two tickets with two vouchers for 2 hot dogs, 2 pop corns , 2 soft drinks, free parking ... grand total $50 dollars. They ended up moving down closer to the rink after the 1st period and if not for a tonne of Montreal fans in the audience they could of nearly sat at ice level.

Complete bone head penalty on Trouba at the end.... he had time and space and flips it over the boards.... Helle had a lot of rebounds but most of those goals were break downs on our part. Armia and Matthias were robbed tonight... we could of put in more.

It somewhat reminds me of the UFC and how they ban certain reporters because they will print out the truth rather then the message sculpted by the UFC themselves. It'll be very interesting to see how reporting will be done down the road... how can insiders with the real dirt make money on their own? It'll be very interesting...

I seem to remember (possibly on the old site) nearly everyone was not a fan at all of Burmistrov the last season he played before leaving for the KHL. The only "excitement" fans around here had of him was that he was signed to a cheap cheap contract and we had hopes that he would of matured and could of been a decent player that we could of traded away for something of quality in return.

How many teams played their backup last season? Aside from injuries and/or terrible play?

Maybe a new start will be good for him. It's a safe pickup for Arizona also.

How dare Davis not start ahead of 300 - 400 thousand dollar man Willy and how dare he doesn't leap ahead of a vet like Nichols who led us to a big winning streak. Cutting Davis because he isn't the starter is ridiculous... if anything I hope he comes back because I would much rather have a guy who has trained and practiced with our club and is familiar with our players and system then throwing a nobody out with zero experience.

The Sun has an article about Lemieux... it made it seem like he was getting some minutes.

Halak would be a solid pickup for a team in need of a vet goalie... the lower numbers this season has much more to do with the management and the club as a whole then his play. The Jets don't need him but someone else will get a quality player if they scoop him. He was having issues with the 3 goalie rotation from the start and I'm sure a change of scenery will shoot up his numbers like how they have been for the past several seasons.
