  1. You feel that further denying Streveler reps while exposing your starting QB to injury in a 'meaningless game' would have been better? Nichols has more to gain from a week of rest than a week of reps at this point in his career and in the season.
  2. Yes, ha I just clued in now.
  3. Wouldn't that depend on how we lose the WSF? If Nichols plays lights out and the defense folds like a cheap suit, how will a new QB help the situation?
  4. Didn't say I agree with it but players vote the way they're gonna vote. Sutton isn't much fun to tackle either I'm sure.
  5. Tyrell Sutton beat out Andrew Harris for 'toughest player to bring down'
  6. There was no debate. Looked like a gym sock stuffed with pool balls.
  7. I was genuinely curious... and I found a couple: 1975 - Willie Burden (RB) CGY, missed the playoffs with a 6-10 record 1977 - Jimmy Edwards (RB) HAM, missed the playoffs with a 5-11 record I think that's it going all the way back to 1953. So as good as Reilly's numbers are, odds are against him winning MOP after missing the playoffs.
  8. That's a good point. Has MOP ever gone to a player on a team that missed the playoffs? I might have to go look that up...
  9. My predictions: East: Player: Jeremiah Masoli Defensive: Henoc Muamba Canadian: Brad Sinopoli Offensive Lineman: Alex Mateas Special Teams: Lewis Ward Rookie: William Stanback West: Player: Mike Reilly Defensive: Adam Bighill Canadian: Andrew Harris Offensive Lineman: Derek Dennis Special Teams: Brett Lauther Rookie: Jordan Williams-Lambert Winners: Player: Mike Reilly - still the best player in the league, statistically or otherwise Defensive: Adam Bighill - pure beast mode, defensive nightmare and playmaker Canadian: Brad Sinopoli - surpassed Ben Cahoon's record for receptions in a season Offensive Lineman: Derek Dennis - anchors the line that leads the league in passing TDs and sacks allowed Special Teams: Lewis Ward - home town boy setting records while making some clutch kicks Rookie: William Stanback - 6.7 yards per carry, over 700 offensive yards in 7 starts... could be good for 2000 combined yards in a competent offense
  10. I just can't stand to see children in green sweaters. It's the only reasonable response.
  11. I do prefer throwing whisky at kids, it's true
  12. Bogus BS story. Still pisses me off to this day. Buddy of mine uses it to compare 'classy' Jets fans to 'classless' Bomber fans. Plot twist: they're mostly the same people.
  13. No obvious reason. Manziel and his LT Washington were fighting on the sidelines before the half but were all smiles and laughs minutes later. They were up by 19 points at half time, just the HC giving some reps to a recently extended backup in a nothing game I'd guess.
  14. Adarius Bowman is plain awful now. I remember how I excited I was when we signed him.
  15. 1. Nope 2. Try again 3. Homophobia stopped being cool in the 90's, but dyeing your tips stopped being cool in the 2000's. I think both should be put to rest.
  16. Heard O'Shea saying "sorry we couldn't get to you" to Streveler just before his live mic was cut. O'Sh wants to get Streveler reps but he wants to win games even more. Have to respect that.
  17. Really? Because I just watched the entire first half using http://watchkobe.info/cfl1.php found in the game day thread
  18. Hecht made his mark on a few blitz packages throughout the season. I'm sure he can fill in for a game or two.
  19. Yep. We've been down this road before. We have plenty of important football to play before we can even start talking about the GC
  20. I'd take those odds every day and twice on Sundays
  21. I never had to settle for participation ribbons, thanks. Call me Sterling cause I'm allllll Silver baby.
  22. There is definitely a sort of pre-millennial post-Gen X generation that gets unduly rolled in with others. 80-85ish births are unique in having an analog youth and digital adolesence and adulthood. Pioneers in a lot of ways. We might be the last generation to play outdoors, Pokemon Go notwithstanding
