Really like it.

So, according to several contributions, Goltz is not good, Hall is not good, Boltus is just a filler and bad, bad describes Levi Brown.
All in a thread of Kyle Walters.
The best thing....honestly?
No talk of Buck starting the next game.
So you mean Wally wont sit Lulay and give Pierce a chance
While Wally is an idiot for not keeping Elliot around, it's clear Buck gives BC the best chance of winning as he has won more games than Lulay for the Lions over his carreer so Wally needs to put Buck in.
Does that cover it?

Said this elsewhere before seeing this post.
How about just the Jets games?
-
Could always just do Jets games.
BTW, what Jets forum do most people frequent during the season?
-
he's not making fun of iso it's a play on broken English spoken by an asian person
Wow.
Just wow.

Thanks.
HAve to remember who you are for the PM

Is this the best way to communicate this kind of stuff, or would you prefer something other than a thread?

Don't know why, but the list shows BC as visitor. Game is in BC.

Wait, are you suggesting someone on the Riders is being overhyped by The Saskatchewan Network? Naaaaah, that couldn't be!
With the Riders losing to the Bombers, could this be the week the TSN2 Fans Choice Game of the Week tonight is not a Riders game?
Nope. Got this one wrong.

I don't love what I've seen out of Goltz, but I think he's worth investing the rest of the season in to see what we've got; given the extreme unlikelihood of another team dealing us their #2 QB midseason, as opposed to after the season and before the cutoff before the expansion draft.
I don't mind starting him, but if he isn't moving the ball then it becomes time for Hall or Boultus. Don't leave him in if he is being innefective. Even if he is pulled for a series and goes back in.
Disagree with this entirely. We're too impatient here in Wpg with QB's and being ineffective in the short-term. Need to leave him in there to try to work through the kinks, and see if he can develop. The Bombers and Walters need to see a body of work from Goltz... he's a developmental passer, he's not going to show you enough in small, segmented periods of time to form a basis for judgement.
Give him a half, not a whole game if he is being innefective. Alternatively, pull him for a couple of series and have him watch what the defence is doing, then stick him back in.
There is a happy medium between yanking at the first bad pass and leaving him in the whole game regardless.

I would like, however, to see the starter pulled if he is under 50 yards passing in the first half.
Yup. Not too short a leash but not too long either.

Hate ******** Rod Black. He was especially annoying today. I just about barfed when he said that Burris was having a "Peyton like day" after his fourth TD throw. Duane Forde quickly said he had a ways to go to match Manning's 7 TD performance last Thursday night. Is Black ever a tool.
I still think him calling Dave Stala one of the most ''dominant receivers'' in the CFL even more bizarre.
Didn't hear that quote but if I had so it definetly would have made me throw up.
I heard the quote. Sounded like Forde wanted to throw up.

And I think the guys we bring in should at least be 'potentially good', not 'at best, arguably better than what's already here'.
This.

With each passing week it looks more and more likely that Miller will stay on as C.E.O, Walters as the permenant G.M and Burke as the HC, which IMO is depressing.
While I agree with you on Miller and Walters, no way is Burke staying on as HC.
-
Just a suggestion. Was looking at the calendar for some reason. Be nice to see the games up there.
-
Depends.
Can he see you kick it off the green?

Go figure Tim Burke would want his players to look as bored and unemotional as he does.
Here's my question and as much as I'm asking it because I dislike Burke, it's also a serious question ... has he ever been anything but critical of his players in the media? Can anyone remember a quote or anything printed in the papers from Burke indicating he was pleased with an individual performance?
It seems like every time he discusses one of his players, it's negative.
Unless it was Buck. Never had a bad thing to say about Buck.

Won't find any of THAT stuff in THIS town.............

Shawn Churchill @ShawnChurchill 5m
Burke says coaches in Saskatchewan have given him recommendation on Levi brown. What rivalry?
Amazing what happens when you actually talk to other teams instead of pretending they don't exist.
we sign a guy who lost his 3rd string job? Yeah those coaches in Sask really musta loved the guy, cut him and everything.
Yeah.
That would be like harping about how good someone is when they are 3rd string for the Lions...........

Bleh o-line isn't even that bad, Buck has been making it looks worse than it is for years now, and everybody else is either inexperienced or uncomfortable and the position has been a complete merry go round. Let a half decent QB get comfortable back their and the o-line immediately looks better.
The o line is horrible. We have two serviceable OL and the other 3 are the worst at their position in the league. Which team would take Sorensen, Morley, Swiston, Boatman, or Douglas as starters?
I know which one.
Look who is back in Winnipeg!

Add Doug Brown to the list.
