Walters strikes me as a guy who knows what he is doing. He surely looks like he has a good handle of the clubs SMS. He already expressed that they are going to be extremely aggressive when it comes to NI OLs. I think it's just right to prioritize upgrading that area since that's our weakest link for how many seasons now. Next weakest is the LB corps but imports are generally cheaper than NI especially if they are new faces from down south.

Does the managements pays for the Gatorade now? instead of the players?

Do you not remember how bad our long snapping was when Ian Wild was injured? I'm not defending Fitzgerald here. I agree that he has bad performance when he took over the LS when Wild was hurt. There are people here who are supporters of Fitzgerald and the question is more directed to them. I'm not sure the Bombers will carry 3 FB on gameday. So my guess he will be cut.

What does this say to Fitzgerald future with the Bombers?

Plus Philip Hunt or Alex Hall will come in cheaper than Odell Willis at this point.

If Walters is willing to outbid anyone just to get Heenan, Heenan + Picard will amount close to $500k per season. Well I guess, if they are willing to spend big money, investing it on the OL is the top choice. Can't win games if the QB is always on the turf.

Probably receivers. McMann will be the RB coach and ST coach.

6-game IR ... but then what's the point? You don't hide veterans. You hide talent you want to develop. Certainly, not the way Austin used his 6-game IR last year.

Bombers can hide one of Morley & Neufeld on the IR. So their salary wont count to the cap.

I think he played some Safety and some LB in Hall's D, before he signed with Winnipeg.

The less holes we have comes TC, the better. Right now, our immediate holes are LT, RT, MLB, WIL, SAM and a WR. If Walters can fill it up on FA that would be great.

Wylie is a big fan though and he is regarded as a top notch OL coach in the CFL.

Newman went down early .. as did Suber .. But I think the projected secondary was Randle, Washington, Leggett, Suber, Bucknor ... then Suber eventually loss his sarting position to Johnson.

Wylie is a big fan of Picard.

Morley had a good year. Picard brings intangibles with him though that are off the charts. He has been the glue guy on every OL he has centred and they have all been successful OLs. Morley may have been better than Picard last year. But Morley can't bring the nastiness that Picard can bring which our soft OL needs.

Just saw that too. That's interesting. Does Goosen stay as 6th OL or do they think he can start at guard? I guess another follow up question is, "what the hell do I know about OL play?" I thought Morley was every bit as good as he was... Morley makes sense as the #6 OL since he has experience and played C, G and T. I'm guessing, Bob Wylie might have something to do with Picard coming here.
